Hi Lovely Lady, I know this band very well, Nazareth are a Scottish rock band formed in Dunfermline, Scotland 🏴, in 1968 ,The founding members are bassist Pete Agnew and lead singer Dan McCafferty, This is one of the best covers of this song you'll ever hear, Dan McCafferty's vocals are absolutely stunning on this song, It's from their 1975 album, Hair of the Dog 😄😄🤘🤘🏴🏴 I'm from Scotland myself as well 😄😄
Lead singer Dan McCafferty sadly passed away in November 2022 aged 76 from COPD 🙏🙏
Pete Agnew is the only surviving member of Nazareth that is still alive and well ,He's now 77 years old and still performing today with the new line up of Nazareth, He's still on bass guitar 😄😄

Once again I realize what great music I grew up with.
Love Hurts, I can only imagine the song in this version with this voice (even though it is a much older song that Nazareth reinterpreted). Another song of theirs is "This Flight tonight", maybe not quite as moving vocally, but rhythmically very interesting.
During this time there were countless great songs, on all sorts of topics, of course also (really great) love songs.
