    Thanks man, i was getting crazy figuring out why my speaker was shutting off, even using two LiPo batteries in parallel which cover the power demand by far. I have to admit that you know what you're dealing with, i'm studying electronic engineering and never had the idea that the cables i was using could affect that much to my problem (they were basically aluminium junk from an USB). Thanks for those good explanations, you have a new subscriber.

    @Sorin: a practical tip: at timestamp 6:03, you're cutting into the board with your arm in front of the saw. If the saw runs off without resistance after cutting the last millimeters of board, it may overshoot, and you may cut half your arm off. Never cut into your own limbs/fingers, always cut away. If you don't have clamps to hold the board to the table, sit on it with your knee, and catch the falling part with your free hand. NEVER hold it in the way you do here. One accident may scar you for life.
    Also, jigsaws can cut fairly straight, if you use a guide. Use a straight bit of metal/wood, about 1cm thick, and place it so that the base of the jigsaw slides along it.

    Another good video and good advice. But do remember that if someone has a bunch of 4 ohm speakers, it's possible to put them in series to get 8 ohms. All is not lost! Also, a tip: soldering 2-3 inches of wire to the Bluetooth F-antenna will remove a lot of noise at low volumes. In my experience those PCB antenna always work better with extra wire soldered to the end of the F.

    • @Sorin_DIY
      @Sorin_DIY  Před 3 lety

      hi. if you connect 2x 4ohm speaker drivers in series, you can use them as a 8ohm speaker. but there is a small problem: the voice coil of one speaker driver will become a small frequency filter for the other speaker connected in series. so both speakers will lose some of the high frequency sound. if you do this with bass speakers it's ok. but if you connect tweeters (with voice coils) in series, you will partially cancel their ability to make high frequency sounds.

I've really enjoyed doing it.

      you need a multi color LED with a common anode (or positive). on the tp4056 board the 2 LEDs are soldered with the anode side by side. so you solder the anode wire in the middle, between the LEDs. in my video the anode is yellow and the cathodes for the 2 colors are red and blue.

    Hello sorin.. your work is amazing, especially the way you explained.
    I've a small question.. what's the capacitor uf value and volt that you soldered directly in DC stepup module ?

    • @Sorin_DIY
      @Sorin_DIY  Před 4 lety +1

      hi. I think it's 2200uF at 16V. you need a capacitor with a rated voltage higher than the running voltage. so for a 5V device, you need a capacitor of minimum 10V. there are also 6.3V capacitors, but they are too close to the running voltage. the capacitance depends on the supply power and the load. for a 5V bluetooth speaker 1000 - 3300uF should be enough.

    • @Sorin_DIY
      @Sorin_DIY  Před 5 lety

      hi. it's a micro USB breakout. it's just an extension for the charging port. it's smaller than the charging module, so it can be fixed on the side much easier.

    • @Sorin_DIY
      @Sorin_DIY  Před 4 lety

      it's very difficult to add an aux in, I don't know the wiring and I don't have another bluetooth module like this one. but you can use a different amplifier, that has aux in and bluetooth. or you can build one from different modules.

      Thank you for the reply.
      I am using 3w 4 ohm speakers connected to PAM 8403 which is powered with two 18650 batteries connected in parallel. I have TP4056 charging module with protection and 2 amp boost converter. Without the boost converter is working fine, only problem is my 5v bluetooth module, I don't know if it will work with lower voltages as the battery drains.
      Separate power supplies cause a horrible ground loop which distorts the sound, I have tried that.
