    You know a lot about electronic stuff, as I've seen in your other videos already. Excellent to mention the correct phase alignment of the speakers. It's something other builders of speakers don't bother to mention. Nevertheless, it's important.
    I also like your way of thinking regarding the cooling of the amplifier. Even if it is a box...you showed some "out of the box" thinking in this project.
    This has got to be the cheapest, yet good portable speaker build I've seen in here.

By far the best Audio Build around on CZcams, everything is not about the esthetic, but more about the knowledge shared through the whole video!! Keep the great your work!!

    Hi Sorin. The line of pam amps are pretty impressive, I've built a few projects with the different chipsets, and all have worked out well. I've been watching a bunch of home made Bluetooth speaker builds lately, and I must say, the few speaker builds I've seen of yours have been the better ones. You have a good understanding, of how best to utilize speaker drivers that other people wouldn't care to use. You also seem to understand, that no every portable speaker has to fit in your pocket, having to use tiny drivers, but crammed to capacity with batteries and other components. I like the way you keep these home builds simple, and effective. (Not to mention) using salvaged parts to repurpose them. Thanks for making interesting informative videos.
    Oh yeah,,, rules of cats,,,,, they MUST investigate speaker boxes.

    Nice work, for easier battery management use a DC/DC buck boost module ~$1 and a USB 18650 charger protection board ~$1 with multiple 18650 cells in parallel, use the DC/DC buck boost module to bring the voltage up to a constant 9 or 12v or get a lower voltage amplifier and better yet one with built in bluetooth.

    • @Sorin_DIY
      @Sorin_DIY  Před 5 lety

      hi. thanks for the feedback. that will work too. but you will loose some power, because the step up converter efficiency is not 100%. usually this method is used for low voltage amplifiers 5 - 6V. you can get 12-15V from one or more 18650 cells connected in parallel, but when the battery voltage drops lower than 3V, it will be difficult for the step up converter to get it up to 12V and 1A. the efficiency will decrease to 70% or even less. you will loose a lot of battery power. the charger will also need to be very powerful. for example to get 12V 1A from 5V at an efficiency ~80% you will have 12V*1A=12W; 12W/5V=2.4A; 2.4A/0.8 (80%eff)=3A. you need a 5V and 3A charger. step up converters are useful only for low power amplifiers. I've made a 2x6W bluetooth amplifier with this configuration and it works great. but for powerful amplifiers you need a 2A or more, constant power source.

  • @atakanyerli4641
    @atakanyerli4641 Před 5 lety +1

    is there any noise on sound and is there any background noise without playing anything or is there any amplifier with Bluetooth chip integer that you recommended with to the people who has more budget

    • @Sorin_DIY
      @Sorin_DIY  Před 5 lety

      hi. there is a small background noise, when the audio jack is not connected to anything, or when the jack is connected to the phone and there is no music playing. but this is common to almost all amplifier boards. I've installed the volume potentiometer to my speaker, so you can just turn it down, when you don't use the speaker, or when you unplug the cable, so you don't hear the noise. the amplifiers with audio bluetooth receiver included have an auto-mute function, when the bluetooth doesn't receive any music. that's why they don't have background noise. but is the same as turning the volume potentiometer down. I will test more bluetooth amplifiers in the future, to see which ones are better.

    • @Sorin_DIY
      @Sorin_DIY  Před 4 lety

      I never had this problem. usually I order 2 or more pieces, if one is faulty, I test the other. yours probably has a problem. what voltage and what speaker drivers did you used? try it with 12V and 2A and with 8ohm speaker drivers. when it stops it probably goes into a protection mode. but what protection...? over voltage, under voltage, over temperature, overload.... it may have a faulty sensor.
