Thank you very much for this tutorial Sorin! 👍 Hey.. I have 10 * new high quality 21700 batteries (Vapcell F60 6000mAh) and I want to build a PD3.1 compatible (28V @ 5A) power bank (welding is no problem). But I do not have the required knowledge, so I was wondering if you by any chance could help me out with this? ..at least with the BOM (Bill Of Materials) and provide me with links to the needed components (AliExpress is fine). I wish I had your skills. 🙂
Hi sir please make a video testing tec1 - 12703 module on 5 volt please please please 😢😢
I use the same, and I am happy
Wouldn't the result be better if the fan takes the air from the inside and sends it outside?
No. because the AC is working to cool down the air inside the room. if you take a part of that air and vent it outside, the AC needs to work even more to cool down the warm air coming through the vents inside the apartment and replacing the air that goes outside.
Te apreciez Sorin!
If the air were directed at you, this would be helpful.
garbage
temp outside is 30 c and you need conditioner ??? in midlee easte temp up to 50 c 44 in normal sumer day. how you can make condition fit that
Cool
I actually love watching your videos. I hope this explanation doesn't offend you. This works as a refrigerator in a closed container. If you are trying to distribute the cold to another area with air (air conditioning) there will never be ice on the cold side heatsink because the ambient temp will overcome 90% of the cooling and, in general, defeat any chance that the cold side will get more than 10°C below ambient. The stronger the fan, the less temperature drops. This is why the higher powered devices are used. Not to see how cold the cold side CAN get. They may not be as cold but they will "recharge" (actually remove heat) from the cold side faster. Your readings would be taken at the hot side to see how much heat you need to remove from that side. The chip cold side reading will be about about 20 - 50°C lower than ambient and up to 70°C lower than the hot side. The reading of the air you blow across the cold side heatsink will be much, much higher than the chip cold side to the point of only a 2 or 3°C drop from room temperature (ambient). This is evident even when measuring air temp just 3 or 4cm from the cold side heatsink. The more powerful devices are used to overcome the powerful ability that normal air has to remove all the work (energy) done chilling (removing heat) from the peltier and spreading it all over the place. That's why a low powered device will hold temperature in an extremely well insulated, closed box but wont work as well if you try to distribute the "cold" into the same area you're working in. A high powered unit, maybe even a 24v model will work much better in those conditions. If you want, I can send you some real peltiers for you to run more tests on from CUI here in the USA
My 45+ years of working in audio, I have repaired speakers that people thought were beyond it. I HAD to watch the whole video out of respect for your creative skills - absolutely full marks Sorin, and then came the tweeter!
almost bought a real one. here in the US, many of these more rare S&W guns get sold in big surpluss batches from time to time when police departments clean out their old inventory. most gun people now days dont really know about them so theyre usually cheap at ~200-300 usd. a really good price for an all metal frame pistola. unfortunately most are in .40sw which tends to cause a lot of wear and tear on them, and they all have pretty dinged up finishes. recently bought a hk p2000sk instead in .40.
Got cool
El portabobina major en otro material porque al aluminio le afecta el campo electromagnetico
Voice coil formers made of aluminum have a gap of 1mm between the edges of the aluminum sheet. the edges are not connected, so the aluminum former it's just a sheet, not a tube. this is on purpose, because an aluminum tube is affected by Eddy currents. so no aluminum tube, no Eddy currents.
@@Sorin_DIY excelente explicacion. Gracias.

Can i connect the 3,3v line with the 5v line to obtaine a 8,3v line? Thank You.
yes.
Thanks for doing all of the R&D so that I don't have to. My conclusion is that, aside from the fun of experimentation, a Peltier cooler is just not worth the trouble.
Please test 12702 amd 12701 and compare with 12703 module
cool! nice video Sorin
I'm glad I'm watching the only REAL Pelt video on the interzone.
copy that
I was sure peltier modules are good, but on the other hand for me, 200w consuption for a little room, when i have 3 rooms medium size, dont seems a good option at all. Anyway, great work with this video and stuff you made. Thank you!
So with these modules could you take the outside Heat and create electricity to power other devices I'm in no way intelligent I'm legitimately asking because I'm going to buy like a million of those things put them on or near my roof see how much energy I can make
No. Peltier modules create energy if you put them between a cold surface and a hot surface. the bigger the temperature difference between the surfaces, the higher the output energy will be. but even in perfect conditions, for example you put ice on one surface and heat up the other surface, Peltier modules will make very little energy, it's not worth it.
I didn't switch out the weaker looking wires...could that cause this amp problem it is outputting .3 amps not reading on meter though
Sir can you collaborate with me
Cardboard is probably a better insulator than a window.
Thanks Pal! You will need to make at least 20+ videos to satisfy the defenders of TEC-12706! Just say that TEC-12706 is the better module! 🤟🏻😂
Would it be possible to add a push button for battery level check when not plugged in? Instead of flipping the on/off switch.
Yes.
Doesn't work built it. I don't talk crap until I try it and try to make it work. Couldn't get it to work even after trying with different methods. Wasted my time. Your lying brother about everything in this video!!
I am not getting a reading in the amp controller did I not hook something up right? Has anyone got this the voltage side works great.
most likely you did not connect the ammeter wires correctly. check the schematic again.
Sorin what if you stacked the modules one on top of each other to self cool with a single exhaust out. 😂 Just a thought experiment.
I haven't tried it yet, it needs some testing, each module needs a different power input.
Are these the same type of semiconductor coolers we've seen used with mobile phones?
The title is misleading.
what is the delay time between switching cycle ? is this ups useful to use with 3d printers ?
The switching time is almost instant. but this mini UPS is not very powerful.
Can i run the peltier with a charger😢
It depends on what kind of charger. if it delivers the necessary voltage and current, it will work.
Useful test.
How can we know which peltier modules are counterfeit or bad quality? ...
Usually cheap ones are of low quality. but in the end you still need to test them, to be sure.
Forget the windows. Mount it in the bedroom door. Cool the bedroom, warm the hallway, because who cares about the hallway.
Hi, must we use an active balancer only during charge , or is it possible to let it connected to the battery and keep a permanent balance correction by use of the pack?
Hi, the active balancer is connected directly to the battery pack and will always balance the cells.
Can I just add more battery in parallel to increase the total capacity in this??
yes.
i want to do a server rack cooling project. can you do one? I have 22U rack with 4 laptops as servers. I also i have 2 normal rack mount servers. What do you think I was going to create my own, but I want to see your ideas.
Thank you sir! Your video is very helpful but can you make a graph about temp-time(from 0m-60m) in next video
is there any advantage of having higher amps module? like 15A? or is it just better to go down and get some that is like 1A if possible
In my opinion there is no advantage in using one powerful module with a high current consumption. instead you can use 2 modules with a lower current consumption. but so far I tested only cheap modules, maybe a powerful high performance module will be better.
@@Sorin_DIY it would be nice to see it if it was water cooled
can we make a good laptop cooler from it ?
Yes, but you need to be careful, there will be a lot of moisture.
@@Sorin_DIY can you make a video on that?
