- Hello guys!
In this episode I'm going to play around with some thermal switches and test some ideas on how I can use them to add some extra protection to my future projects.
A big THANK YOU to all my patrons, especially to: Max Rice and Anthony Ortenzi.

A word of warning for high current DC loads, these may fail the switch closed unlike an AC circuit. High current DC can jump over an opening contact whereas AC is less likely for the same current. This is why there is a difference between DC and AC circuit breakers...
The cat deserves a verified quality inspector award 😂
Great work Sorin
He finally remembered his password
I have used one of this as thermal protection in my last projects. Instead of connecting it directly i conect it to relay to cut of the power when temperature are high. As relay are made to handel more power. Hope this helps in ur future project.
I used one of these for my 3d printer filament dryer so when it got to a certain temperature it turned the fan on so that the heat was more evenly distributed rather than just at the bottom. Always love your videos 👍
The really big one you have in the thumb nail was the very 1st component I ever looked up online. Found it inside a car battery charger that was broken... (I wonder where that is now,🤔 I could fix it.) The thermal switch was working ok. Must look for that charger tomorrow 😊😊
Mr. Sorin, So glad to see you posting again!

Sir can you please tell me what should I do to solve reverse power problem in a DC to AC converter circuit board?
Your cat is more active than you on your videos .... 😂
Btw ❤ ur projects.....😊👍
2:51 I love 2pac
What can we use to electrically insulate the metal without compromising heat transfer too much?
Mica insulation sheet. Or you can use the thermal switch to trigger a separate relay with mains power.
Still waiting for your new video 🥺
Hey sorin i am trying to make an 2030ic amplifier for my sub could you possibly make a video on it I am running it with an 12-0-12 3amp transformer
Hey Sorin. I'm trying to reuse batteries from an old powerbank. How would I know that the battery isnt under voltage?
You need to measure the voltage of each cell and test them with a battery charger/tester.
Thanks!
its been 2 months..
Love the millennial nerd joke....2pac approves
It's bimetal switch inside that sensor. Next time do please something more enjoyable. Like 6S accupack with integrated toaster or fkin whatever :-D
