- Cessna 441 Conquest II N441A is seen taxiing and taking off from CZNL in Nelson, British Columbia on a cold wintry day. I was really happy to catch this nice turboprop, one of my favorite general aviation aircraft!
Absolutely gorgeous. Easily one of the best GA airport to spot at. The livery on this Conquest is outstanding!! Liked a lot :D
Thanks so much! CZNL is definitely a fun airport to spot at, just wish there was a bit more traffic here.
Gorgeous! The plane and the scenery.
I worked for a large Cessna dealer in Wichita,Kansas for over 20 yrs. and worked on and flew in just about anything made by Cessna except for the T-36 and the A-36.The 310R model with the TSIO 520 engines is a very nice airplane!! Did Cuban eights in one with a Cessna factory test pilot flying it,what a blast!
That must have been a fun job, and really cool getting to go up in all the different aircraft!
I've worked on and been on a test hop in that plane.441's rock for turbo-props.
Nice, that must have been fun going for a flight in a 441. I'd love to get up in one some day.
that was the best part of my job as an a&p mechanic,to go on test flights.I worked all the turbo-props at Yingling Aircraft in Wichita for over 20 yrs and went flying in 441's and 425's a lot.The 441 has an electronic fuel control system with a computer for each engine under the floor just aft of the co-pilot's seat in the cabin area.To set the engines up correctly a test flight was required to do most of the adjustments.Usually just the pilot and myself onboard and these things climb like a rocket when light on fuel and passengers! Flew from Oaxaca Mexico to Wichita Kansas on one after going down there to adjust the fuel control for a customer.Too long of a trip even in a Conquest, but we did it without refueling, man I was glad to get out of that bird.
The perfect video for wishing happy holidays. Beautiful winter scenery and one of the most beautiful Cessnas.
Thanks so much! I agree, I think the 441 is my favorite Cessna turboprop.
Ow Boy what a nice Cessna Conquest with this paint pattern on it 2 me it makes just one of the nicest Turbo props ever made moreover it was my era !! 😊😊😊
They are impressive turboprops for sure, and this one looked great in its fresh coat of paint!
Its So beautiful and high performance aircraft
Nice general aviation aircraft, beautiful livery! Thumbs up!

Awesome twin turboprop engine sounds nice close up takeoff
Man...that was quick!!
Nice quick turn and burn, it was cool to see. Thanks for watching!
Superb footage and sound of this impressive first turboprop powered aircraft by Cessna! Huge like from me!! Cheers Matt
Thanks so much Matt, I appreciate it! I love the sound this nice little Cessna turboprop produces.
It looks like a cross between the early model Cessna Citations and a Beechcraft! Well done :)
Haha they kind of do, quite a good mix :-) Thanks.
Beautiful aircraft
One very nice prop in some fantastic scenic conditions :)!
Thanks very much Elliot!
These are rare to see!
Sweet Catch!
Thanks, I was really happy to see this one. Hoping it will visit again this winter.
Little snowstorm from the prop-wash. Nice footage!
Thanks a lot!
That's one sweet looking aircraft that I would love to add on my Flight List :) Excellent footage and love the snow.
Thanks very much Ed! I hope you get to add one of these to you list of aircraft you've flown on soon. I bet they'd be a ton of fun to get up in.
Amazing video! The scenery looks awesome covered in snow!
Thanks a lot! Hoping to get some more snowy spotting in soon if something visits CZNL soon.
Really enjoyed this one ....Nice Snowy conditions as well...That Cessna 441 is a very smart looking Aircraft...Best wishes.....Steve.-:)
Thanks very much Steve, I appreciate it! It was great to see this 441. I spotted the same aircraft last winter as well, but it had been repainted since.
Love the sound of those Garrett turboprops!!!
They do sound good indeed!
I really love you videos. You are in a prime location! Keep em coming!
Thanks a lot! CZNL has lots of nice close-up locations for spotting.
The banking shots you catch in your videos from this location are amazing! Liked a lot! :))
Thanks so much, I appreciate it!
Powered by 2 Honeywell TPE331 TURBINE with 575 horsepower each
The conquest has the -8 Garrett's. 636HP each. This one more the likely has the -10 which give it almost 1000HP. Majority of the conquest fleet has been converted to the dash 10s. Just look how fast it goes down that runway.
-10N are flat rated from 1,000 [984 ISA+25] shp thermal capacity, but the actual sea level output is 750 shp which is maintained all the way up to around FL180 before it falls off, and it doesn't fall off much until FL240. If RVSM'd this airplane could cruise at FL310, but most will run between FL240 and 280. These are a 14% improvement over the Pratts.
Looks like Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6.
635.5 hp per side
thanks for this amazing video love the sound and the snow hope you are warmed up again after filming this.
Thanks so much for watching and for the comment, I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
Wow, off and gear up b4 the end o' the runway! And stayed quite low too.
Ya, that was pretty impressive to see!
I’m restoring one of those as my final project along with 8 other teammates. If we manage to do it we’ll graduate as aeronautics technicians
Nice video , love those cessna 441, you should try taking more videos of them as them come in and go out
Thanks! I'll try to catch a few more, though they don't pass through CZNL too often.
ohk, no problem
Quick takeoff without even holding the brakes. Must have been empty! Thanks.
Yup, it had just dropped off a load of passengers and was re-positioning. Made more a nice sporty takeoff!
TheHDAviation thanks for the reply! A beautiful catch. Happy Holidays!
nashdp Cold air and 425
Hp per side.
Good looking 441 and great spotting! Liked!!
Thanks a lot!
Awesome catch, buddy! I like the snowy weather coniditons :) Liked!!
Thanks very much!
Great Video...Nice Wintertakeoff.Fantastic Scenery.::)Like
Thanks a lot!
That pilot was eager.
They have the VG's installed on this one to either support higher weight take off or get better performance for a given weight. I don't think the new winglets help much with that, but I know the vortex generators do.
Now THAT'S an exit!
Awesome catch! Love the sound.....
Thanks a lot!
keep going :)
That thing is awesome
I agree, I was pretty happy to catch this one!
Awesome video! Liked a lot :)
Thanks a lot!
Thats an amazing video! Loved it so much with the beautiful sceneries :D The pilot decided to take-off with tail winds?
Thanks so much! I'm not sure why they decided to take off with the slight tail wind this day.
Thank you for this great Veiws and I'll be back
Wow, amazing footage mate! LIKED :)
Thanks a lot!
This is the fastest of turbine twins
Have a vid one one to post in the future . Someone sent me one yesterday . An amazing aircraft i must say. Conquest 1
They're cool little planes, would be a lot of fun to fly in one some day. Thanks for watching.
Nice video :-)
Thanks!
The Mighty Conquest
Love it! Great video :)
Thanks a lot!
Gorgeous what’s the tag on that? $850,000-$1.5?
When new in the 77' they sold for around $800,000,by the end of the production run they were a little over twice that. They still bring over $1M today for a nice one. They only built around 350-360 of them.Russ Meyer, who was the head of Cessna at the time didn't like turbo-props and wanted to push the Citations, and the Conquest gave the early 500 series Citations a run for their money in performance and cost,so with that and the product liability thing that really hurt aviation in the '80's,they quit building the 441,425 and all of the piston twins as well in 1982.I have been an a&p in Wichita for 40 yrs.and the 441 was always my favorite to work on and fly in! Sorry for all the babbling, just love 441's.
JetTech Don thanks for taking the time, I could listen to tech specs all day, especially from a seasoned A+P guy.
Amazing content! loved the Engine sound! what Model was the engine? subbed!
I love the sound these produce as well, I believe they are Garrett TPE331's. Thanks for watching!
+TheHDAviation Thanks!
WHy didn't the Conquest enjoy as much success as the King Air?
Need just a touch more right rudder there Hoskins.
I think the Honeywell engine sound better than the Garett’s
❤️❤️
From the back, it looks like a mini Saab 340
That's true, the rear does look quite similar to the 340 :-)
why did they stop production?
Donizete Braganca Paulista sp. Brasil
Where exactly did you record the planes?
This one was recorded at CZNL in Nelson, British Columbia, Canada.
Is this thing faster than some King Airs ?
Nice!
Thanks!
