Antonín Dvořák: Suita A dur, op 98b, 5. Allegro
Today we commemorate 120 years since the passing of the national musical genius Antonín Dvořák. Originally composed as a piano opus, the Suite in A major was written during his overseas stay in 1894, shortly after the tremendous success of the New World Symphony at New York's Carnegie Hall. Two years later, Dvořák conducted the first ever concert of the Czech Philharmonic at Prague's Rudolfinum. 💙

Not familiar with this work, however Dvorak never fails to please. Of course add to that the playing of the legendary Czech Philharmonic conducted by today’s finest conductor of Romantic era music and you have a winner. Wish there was more😁

I agree completely. Unfortunately -Hrusa got appointed as music director of the royal opera so he is leaving soon... 😢
