They very rarely read the law and Constitution in their most straight-forward meaning, even if it doesn’t match their wishes for what they mean. It’s a bit like judicial rape, and no one who does it should be suffered to take the bench for a moment.

She was interrupted as she was trying to answer the question. Courts don't create rights they reject or uphold the petitions against the government for violating Constitutional rights. Kennedy is grand standing here, he is not questioning he is making a statement. That's why he would not let the woman speak. If you stop someone from making a good point and then make your own point, or make up your own argument, you are grand standing. For Example: Reparations. The reparations argument is bogus, because a court cannot order relief for people who were not harmed nor can they financially punish people who were not party to that harm. Reparations would have to be done by legislative means, and you know that's not happening, so it was bogus question meant to imply that Myrna Pérez would support TAKING YOUR MONEY.
