Coulda even done more with his aggresion. But it was the only Batman , suit actor and expressions made. The shots in this movie where his eyes pierce through with a helpless , dead angry but calm look is unparallel to any other attempt at the caped crusader. He truly is a sad loner in this movie. Not a tough guy. ( but he is ). Only good Batman movie ever made. That’s my honest true opinion.

I think of it as creating the idea of punishment first and then its pending nature. My mom used to hit me when i misbehaved... Then she would tell me "you do one more and i will hit you"... But never said when. Then out of now she would hit me reminding me of the threat.
i think they make different approach on this batman unlike batman begins this battinson in his early years giving exposure to public being noble heroic and until he become a legend he starts disappear and more stealthy.
I love how "mythical" Batman feels in this movie. Clearly there's nothing supernatural about him, but how he really puts the fear of Batman in people really makes him feel like some kind of living legend. He blends in with the shadows, he can shrug off gunshots, he makes people afraid of the dark because they think he might be there watching them. None of the other Batman movies make me feel like he's a monster, but this movie, oh does he actually make me afraid.
Ikr Now admittedly I didn't know what to think of the casting choice either (I didn't bash it but I was skeptical) and after seeing the movie and understanding Matt's vision for the character Pattinson did it perfectly And you guys are right- ledger, Affleck and Keaton also raised many brows when they were chosen to their roles. I don’t care what anyone says! This movie was badass!!! He made criminals feel fear! Especially when they saw his signal! I loved it when they scattered when they saw the Bat Signal being absolutely terrified of any shadows around them! That was epic! lol Almost gave you chills listening and feeling how much the music built up based on their fear! That felt different than the other Batman films! Very good!
While this movie is definitely not up to par with The Dark Knight on multiple levels, it's still a brilliant movie with innovative scenes just like this. Bravo!

They should have called this movie Vengeance. He should have gone by Vengeance like Penguin calls him all movie. it would have been a neat twist to have this Bat-Like vigilante with a gotham setting. You could do the movie the same but seeing Bruce in an alternate way who calls himself Vengeance instead makes this movie so much more interesting to me.
Nobody notices the first time Joker killed the guys happened at the station like the Bat knocked out these make up guys. Probably why he said "I'm vengeance."
