I support wearing a mask ❤
I really hope that she will consider wearing a mask … sooner rather than later 😢
Please wear a dust mask when sweeping out Jemma. Got to look after those lungs.
I hope that she will consider wearing a mask … sooner rather than later 😢
super videos Jemma but I suggeast that you wear a mask when sweeping out the trailer after a dusty cargo. Probably seems okay at the moment but it will manifest itself when you are older. Not many bother but Asthma and a nasty cough could result.
I hope that she will consider wearing a mask … sooner rather than later 😢
I have to say, your videos make me feel somewhat nostalgic for a life once lived. Whilst no Class 1 driver, I drove across the UK in a 7.5 tonne box. I know, not at all the same, but some things compare. To give some context; I graduated from university in 2001, needed to make some money, could drive a 7.5-tonner on my 1996 licence, figured I'd work as much as I could doing something I loved - driving.
I was up at the crack of GodKnowsWhen every Monday. I would pack myself up for the week as, tramping, I didn't know if I'd make it back home until the weekend. My Mercedes Atego had EVERYTHING; I bought a TV, a DVD player, heightened roof, sunroof, sleeper cab, food storage, fridge/freezer. Being before GPS + satnav, had atlases (atlai?) and city guides for all the major cities, but having toured most cities with my band I already sort of knew my way around and how to get from there to, well...there.
Once I was packed up on Monday, I was ready to go. I had a regimented radio plan, talkSport in the morning, Mark and Lard on Radio 1 in the afternoon, XFM if around London. I went - literally - from Hull to London to Cornwall to Birmingham to Hull (two days), then reload, sleep in the yard, then up to Scotland, until back home for Friday PM/Saturday AM, then pick up my car, and spend the weekend with my then-girlfriend in York. Then go again Monday.
I loved my truck life. And I miss it so much. Yes, you can argue - on paper - modern life is better; I'm a shipbroker, I live in The Netherlands, I am financially better-off than ever. But...I was never happier than when I pulled into Penrith truck stop on a Wednesday night, able to take a working/hot shower, ahead of the run to Thurso and back down. All the time, I'd seen the most amazing scenes, listened to music I was reviewing for Teletext (I was a freelance music journalist also at the time), and driving.
I salute you, Jemma.
Retired farmer and Class 1 holder for coming up to 47 years, you are clued up on your varieties of spuds!! Stumbled across your videos last night and I share your experiences. Carted grain in my retirement to Camgrain stores so I find we have a lot in common. Also sugar beet in the winters to Wissington in Norfolk - 4 am starts in the days when the speed limit was 40 mph but was ignored to get the job done!!
Hi Jemma, you give the image of being incredibly patient when you are confronted with delays or grumpy loader drivers. Kudo's to you for the informative and interesting web-site. I'm a retired master mariner and I loaded millions (yes millions) of tons of grains, ores and hydrocarbons over 45 years at sea, It's interesting to get an insight into the other side of the transport industry. Road-transport as opposed to sea-transport. Picking your way down country lanes is like me navigating shallow coastal channels line Mallacca Straights and the Dover Straights.
You describe your job well.
Beverly
Keep doing what your doing Jemma! Wouldn’t begin to imagine what farmers for example.. would do without the amazing truckers like you!
Nice area to work Devon good video I've never done tippers before don't mind odd night out never been out all week but you've got a good machine for it scanny good trucks
I think a good truck makes all the difference ☺️
You make it look so easy, big respect to you. I'm binge watching your videos, really enjoy them.
Hi Jemma, found your channel about 2 weeks ago and have already binge watched all vids 3 times lol.
I love Devon, Somerset and Dorset as Devon was my 'home' when I did my Royal Marine training at Lympstone.
When I left the marines after 10yrs service, I did my then 'HGV1' and thoroughly loved it. Your videos bring back such lovely memories.
Now at 70 and retired these video's are a breath of fresh air. ❤❤❤.
Thank you so much and a huge welcome to my channel!!! So glad you are enjoying them and can bring back some great memories for you as I drive around the countryside ☺️
Lovely
Good on yer Royal
@@user-mz3sj7do4b Cheers my friend. Im hoping she has a job in the Woodberry Common area. I had some good fun on the Common,
and NOT what you're thinking 🤣🤣
Loving the videos don’t miss any of them, keep up with the fab videos & stay safe xx😊 also loving the T shirt as I work at Caterpillar so big thumbs up
Hi jemma's dad worked for finnings the caterpillar people for a while at dunball in Bridgwater before they closed the depot. It was a job he really loved. Take care.
Thank you! I like the caterpillar brand also. It’s always been a family favourite ☺️
❤
Love watching your channel. You are so professional. A credit to your industry. I spent my life as a coach tour driver doing long haul European work with trailer attached. So difficult to remember all the tachometer and driving regulations and so easy to fall foul of the law. Thankfully I never had anything other than a warning. But you make it all look so easy. Well done you. And I cannot finish without saying you are the most beautiful truck driver I have ever seen in my life. Love and respect 👍❤️
Great videos as always thank you watching them all again so informative 😊😊😊👍👍👍
Hi Jemma ...I've just fell on your channel & subscribed....I'm a class 1 truck driver for DPD out of Hinckley . It's nice to see you making tipper work look so easy lol ...I've never done tippers . I'm asthmatic so probably a bit too much dust around on that Job but I like your channel. I was a walkers crisps core driver for 16 years before my 4 years at DPD. Been doing class 1 for 30 years now ...nice to see a different take on a different job . ❤
Your trucking video,s are great and all the travelling it's a busy job and away from home keep up the good job your doing Alan south wales,
Another great video Jemma. I love the way you keep smiling no matter how bad or long the day gets. Still amazed how you find your way to all the farms . Roll on the next one 👍👍
Thank you so much!! I genuinely enjoy the job (most of the time🤣) so it never feels much like work. I’m very lucky in that respect ☺️
Hi Jem as always an amazing video from you ! It looked amazingly nice down that way last week . Stay safe and keep on trucking xxx
Morning jemma enjoying the videos a week in the life of you
Hi, Jemma, greetings from Germany. I like to watch your videos. It is awesome to see your skills. And furthermore, your footage reminds me on my holidays which I spent in the UK nine times. For us continentals it was already an adventure during the first times driving on the lefthand side. But everything went fine, even as pedastrians when crossing the streets. Take care and always a save trip.
great video again thanks
The Gordano valley is beautiful. I live in Portishead, gutted when I drive past on a Tuesday knowing that I won’t be home until Friday. Great video, keep it up.
It really is!☺️
What a beautiful lady. Love the videos ❤❤❤❤
What a trooper.
Switched on girl as usual making it look easy. With eyes to die for on top! What is not to like Well done again. .
Great videos ❤
No worries about not answering comments, or even liking, individually Jemma & Jeanette - the more interesting ones can be used as content ideas for future vids, explaining stuff as you go along, which is a nice, natural way of doing it.
I really hope that people who mess you about get charged full rate, for the loss of revenue Wains could otherwise be making. And if they persist, they go out of business. Do organisations ever get blacked ?
The classic for me was the dock in Dorset? which was like ...we're in the logistics business ...but not when it rains. I'm like, so build fucking grain stores then.
Indeed I pick up a lot of stuff that I forget to explain from the comment that I can add to other videos in the future☺️ it depends on the reasoning sometimes and a little give and take as sometimes we may be late with a load because of being stuck in a freak accident that is out of our control. But if a company is rubbish consistently then hauliers will avoid doing work for them unless they are quiet
Jemma = Love your channel, very entertaining & well presented !!
Had to do a double-take, as THIS video "suggestion" popped-up at side of my Y.T. coulumn - (right hand side)
I was watching other stuff, GLANCED at your suggested-video title & thought it had said "Multiple Orgasmic"
Had to do a double-take & burst out laughing !!
Shows ya shouldn't judge at first glance
Hi Jemma
Another great video nice to see you show all aspects of the bulk haulage industry when it runs smoothly and not so smoothly your also a great ambassador for women in the haulage industry we need more like you.
Thank you. ☺️
I quite agree. I am impressed by the way that you make sure you clean up after you, I am sure that it is an example to others to follow.
I agree with a previous comment that you would make a brilliant instructor.
A joy to watch your road 🛣️ trip videos Jemma and take care this week out on the road.
Love your videos jemma keep them coming ❤
Great video keep on trucking
Hi jemma great video again you are amazing in your job and so easy to listen to ❤😊
Turned out well in the end. Admire your coolness when things go a bit tipped up. Always look forward to your next video. Looking through your windscreen makes you appreciate just how beautiful the English countryside is at this time of year. Stay safe Gemma. All the best. Mick.
Thank you. I guess I just think it’s something I can’t change however if it was a Friday and it would have effected me getting home I don’t think I would be so calm 😁

Hi Jemma. Greetings from sunny Adelaide, in Oz.
Thoroughly enjoying your videos as I admire the West Country scenery.
I grew up in Queen Camel, Yeovil, but fled to Australia 50 years ago. Thus occasionally I recognise where you are.
Still have family spread all over Somerset and Devon and occasionally come to visit.
Keep up the great work. Thank you.
Thank you! I go past Queen Camel quite regularly on the A303 I have a Canadian friend who lives there. They had some bad flooding a couple of months ago which is a shame as it’s a lovely village
Awesome video as usual Jemma, superb editing!
Thanks so much! 😊
Nice to see you drive on small roads 👍
Nice video Jemma.
Thank you! 😃
What a day Jemma, I used to have days like that when coach driving, go to first pick-up and no-one was ready so made me late for the rest of day.
