- Next week marks 14 years since the Airbus A380 entered into service. Since the first flight with Singapore Airlines, the aircraft has been operated by 15 different airlines, with over 800,000 flights scheduled with the giant. Scheduled flights have operated to nearly 100 airports, which begs the question, which are the top Airbus A380 airports based on the number of movements?

I actually laughed out loud when they showed the number of flights for DXB. A mixture of obviously and but that’s still a heck of a lot more than expected.
Same
Me to
Same 😂
Living right next to DXB & watching the A380 land/ depart every 2-5 mins at certain times is pure bliss 😊
I wish I could do that too
The A380 is an amazing feat of engineering and collaborative project.
@@andrulifts Helps to get your fact right before you post! Emirates are already flying them to Amman,,Cairo, Istanbul London, Paris, Frankfurt, New York, Toronto Sao Paulo, Manchester, Munich, Moscow, Milan, Jeddah, LA, Toronto and at least 12 other routes! BA, Qantas, and Etihad are also bringing them back into service over the coming weeks.
@@andrulifts Check out Flightradar 24 right now and we'll see who is lying?
Emirates are currently flying half theyre fleet, BA have at least 3 active, Qatar have reactivated 5, Singapore have a few which are active, Qantas will start reactivating them in the coming weeks. China Southern have been operating on off throughout the pandemic as well. Get your facts right bud
I would love to fly on the A380, specifically an Emirates A380. Good lord what a beautiful beast! Great video man. I've watched a couple of your other videos and I am now going to subscribe! Great content!
When i worked out of Korea my Flights from Incheon to JFK were frequently A380 or 747-8i. I love both aircraft they are both very comfortable and Korean Air does a wonderful job at making you feel welcomed.
The KAL “Excellence in flight” commercials were some of my favorite of all time with the people superimposed on landmark locations like Big Ben and the Eiffel tower
It's been common knowledge that LAX has the most A380 movements of airports that don't have base operations with A380s. Lufthansa, AirFrance, British Airways, China Southern, China Eastern, Thai Air, Air Malaysia, Singapore, KAL, Asiana Qantas, Etihad, Emirates, and Qatar all flew A380's pre Covid into LAX and with the exception of ANA and HiFly I think thats every airline that purchased the A380
In Long Haul aviation terms, it's pretty much in the middle of nowhere. Makes sense to require reducing flights to it.
@@Fay7666 Huh? I don't know where you think LAX is but its not in the middle of nowhere?? in 2019 LAX was the 3rd busiest airport in the world and is the busiest origin/destination airport for the last 30-40 years which means more flights fly direct non-stop to and from LAX than any other airport on the planet.
6 of the 20 longest flights are to/from LAX: Dubai, Doha Abu Dhabi,, Singapore, Tel Aviv Melbourne Sydney Auckland
@@Fay7666 Very untrue. It has the highest O/D demand of any airport in the US and a large international gateway. It also has hubs for AA/DL/and UA and a very large Southwest presence.
@@Fay7666Also Hub for the fourth major Alaska also focus for JetBlue, Allegiant and international focus city for Air New Zealand, Qantas and AirFrance. LAX is hub/focus airport for more airlines than any other airport in the world.
China Eastern has no A380s and Etihad, Qatar, Thai and Malaysia Airlines never operated the A380 to LAX, so that leaves us with Lufthansa, Air France, British Airways, Asiana, Korean Air, China Southern, Singapore, Emirates and Qantas, that's 9 and still a decent number
A380 trips to Singapore, LAX, Melbourne and Sydney. Have always enjoyed the comfort in these flights. Oh and to see an A380 cruise by my work to land is a sight to behold and enjoy. Such a beauty just quietly floating on air.
My only A380 experience was Asiana ICN to BKK , Feb 12, 2020. Right before the pandemic. Asiana’s cabin styling leaves much to be desired, but the business class mean was fantastic.
LHR to DXB to LHR (Emirates), LHR to SIN to LHR (Singapore), Singapore Airlines for me is my favourite airline to fly on and Changi airport is really something special.
Flown with Singapore Airlines A380, obviously from Singapore Changi Airport, and it is wonderful experience despite being in Economy Seat.
As a Sydney former heavy international traveller I would certainly be close to the full set.... Aussies along with Dubai share a unique love of the big girl, the space, ammenities and ambience will all be missed once retired.
Only one flight out of about 350 flights so far... CDG-LAX last year before AF retired it forever! Amazing plane!
Flew Emirates A380 regularly from DXB to BKK & return. Such a beautiful & comfortable “ship”. Sad to see it retire. It is such an amazing aeroplane.
Flown out of 6 of the top 7 on the A380 across 4 airlines, CDG being the one I haven't. By far my favourite plane to fly for comfort, hope they stick around for a lot longer.
Only at my home airport in Singapore Changi and also London Heathrow. The A380 is perhaps the most comfortable plane I had been to. Both SIA and BA
I flew into LAX with the Airbus A380 with Lufthansa. It was from Munich-LAX. Tbh I loved the plane but it’s massive wing span was sooo crazy!
I don’t know how the CZcams Rabbit hole led me here, I don’t belong here, but keep up the good work
Shanghai PVG - Singapore SIN - Sydney SYD round trip as well as PVG - SIN - Adelaide ADE round trip. Both with Singapore Airlines. Super comfortable cabin.
I flew THAI A380 once in 2019 from BKK - NRT.
quite no wonder that BKK is also one on this list as BKK is THAI A380 Base and Emirate always fly A380 to BKK.
But Qatar, Asiana, Korean Air, Lufthansa also used to fly A380 on seasonal schedule.
However, as THAI retire thier A380 fleet I think the number of A380 for BKK will go down eventually.
I flew in to Frankfurt from LAX in 2018. That was quite an experience!
Very interesting. Can you do a similar video on the world's top ten 747 airports someday?
ICN, Inchon International South Korea, PANC, Ted Stevens Anchorage Alaska International, HKG, Hong Kong International, FRA, Frankfurt Main International, and TPE, Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport - will all certainly be in the top five on that list. Last count there were 50 carries - excluding VIP, science agencies, and governments still using the B74s. Obviously, there far more B74 cargo operators than there are passenger airlines today. KSBD International and KSDF International in the US just may show some surprises because of the cargo activity at these fields.
I've flown the A380 between JFK and Milan (Emirates), Dubai to JFK (Emirates) and Brisbane to LAX (Qantas).
BKK-LHR with Thai. It was such a surreal experience and I did not imagine I would be able to get on an A380 in my life.
#1 on my bucket list for 2022! Emirates, business class LHR-DXB! Let’s go!
I just saw my first A380 a few days ago in Miami! It was very exciting! It was British Airways BA209
I've flown on the Singapore Airlines A380 many times
Impressive 👍👍👍👍
Booked a flight through Dubai but as much as I wanted to fly the A380, the extra 10 hours of travel time was not worth it. Hopefully we'll get to ride one before they disappear from the skies.
Love it
Nice...The voice and visual didn't match on the very first listing. Another splendid display.
Flown into a big chunk of those on A380s Sydney, Singapore, Dubai, CDG and London,
I have flown once on an A380, it was SFO-CDG in airfrance
I went with China southern airlines from Vancouver to Guangzhou and it was very nice
FRA is a nightmare if transfer has to be seamless
Wonder what the top 10 which aren’t home bases for a carrier with the plane. That would be an interesting list.
I've flown into LAX from MEL (and back again) with Qantas on the A380. Often I'd see an accompanying Qantas A380 from Sydney on arrival
During watching this video, I am thinking that Dubai is definitely the busiest A380 airports in the world lol😂. Btw, i love this video
My only A380 flights have been Emirates to/from DXB.
cant wait for my maiden a380 flight this sep with qatar
Please also do for a320
All these departures and not a single hull loss
Yesss. LHR x DXB x BKK 😍😍.
ive seen the a380 fly over my school on arrival into Manchester Airport
I want to take A380 BA from O’Hara to Heathrow
Kind of surprised that WSSS is third, I tt it would be 4th or 5th behind LAX
I want same video but for airports that are not an hub for any a380 operator
Travelled on the A380 from DXB, KWI, JFK and MXP.. you can pretty much guess the exact route and flights lol
from mumbai to dubai on emirates a380🥰🥰
Flown 🇸🇬Singapores Airlines A380✈️ from 🌃Frankfurt (FRA)🇩🇪 to 🏙️Singapore (SIN)🇸🇬. It was 1st time in A380✈️ bak in 2019🗓️. Fab👌 xperience
Flew A380 from Singapore to Frankfurt and both the airports are in the list.
I flew British airways A380 from LAX-LHR in 2020
I'm surprised etihad and qatar didn't make it to list
Im shocked no Chinese cities are on the list
I've been go to bangkok, Singapore and Abu Dhabi but I stop at Abu Dhabi bc I going to instanbull back then, the flight was good but the TV I can't turn it on, the Singapore one was not at changi Airport, me and my mom ride firefly and the Singapore airport it's small
Of course I know that Dubai is the main home for Emirates and it’s large fleet of A380
Have flew out of Frankfurt to Delhi on a Lufthansa A380 ..
LH 760 - I also flew the route a couple of times
The total absence of Etihad and Qatar Airways makes me wonder of the data that has been used is accurate. Nor their hubs where mentioned, neither in the lists of other airports.
Yes, I totally agree. They might have been at least mentioned in numbers.
Etihad and qatar could be low in numbers in those airports mentioned, that’s why they were not mentioned
I dont think many other airlines flew to Doha or Abu Dhabi with A380s, and the airlines who operated them there had fairly small fleets.
Qatar actually have a relatively small A380 fleet with only 10 and only taking delivery of their first one in late 2014. Given Qatar's dominance in Doha I'm not surprised it's not on the list. That said Etihad had a decent sized A380 fleet at one stage so I'm a bit surprised that Abu Dhabi isn't on the list.
5:53 Ayyyyyy
Nice
Good observation 😄

A380 is the most spacious and steady passenger jet ever.
I have flew asiana airlines
OZ541 ICN-FRA
I've flown into LHR on a Qatar airways a380
Before I would have died of cancer, Suicide, Brain Hemorage or Liver Failure. I wish to fly the A380 on atleast one of it's longest routes at MTOW, i also wish i had the chance to fly the 747-400ER or LR if that exists.... fully using a runway.... or even a A340 5/600 on MTOW... such take-offs are unbelievably and immensly LONG, though the A380 outperforms even at 564tonnes metric it just goes up like a tripple seven, unlike the other i mentioned, but still, better than a european holiday flight from AMS (EHAM) to say Heraklion in Crete... even though the take-off was amezingly long the high performance engines and the brand new NG i travelled to Crete (kreta) Took a while to spool up, and needed 2.2km of the 'kaagbaan' RW 24 especially with our bags and that of others, the pilot said because of the high temperatures all flights were sheduled in the early morning, and the 737-800 has slippery wings but because of the engine it climbed to FL370 and MAX was 366 Sssshhhhhhhhh as transavia, did this to climb out at atleast 240 before leaving the short SID Arnem2S departure that time, yes the cruizing AoA was steep and with the front toilet out pilots had to go all the way back to awnser my questions, funny how ultra low cost carriers even apply their heaviest flights at the coldest moments of the day, as if they were 747's, something A320's or 321's never had to worry about, with their more modern engines and better power output, so i asked, airbus or boeing, she said Airbus. But i landed a job here and rumours as back in 201X she said new typeratings are going to come up in favor of airbus way out in the future, and that came true.
Only flown on Emirates A380 from Johannesburg- JNB to Dubai
Fro Dubai to Bangkok. I believe it was Abu Dhabi due to the fact desert everywhere.
I wonder where Auckland was on this list?
I knew that it was going to be Dubai international airport at the top. Just because Emirates has the largest fleet of Airbus A380 planes.
But yet I think we all knew that LOL.
da baby face airbus😃
Singapore 🇸🇬 Changi International Airport is also on this list of the Number of the Giant Airbus A380 flights ✈ to Singapore.
Yeah it was number 3 on the list...
Flew Emirates A380 LHR-ABU DHABI and then I think onto Perth. ALSO GLOWN Qantas LHR-Singapore
what about abu dhabi and munich
Anyone know if its possible to get a nonstop flight from Glasgow to New York?/How could i find out.
Go to the airports official website, and check departures.
Dream is to fly on a 747 Lufthansa and 380 Emirates before they are retired 🙏🏽
We hope your dream is fulfilled soon! The Emirates A380 is wonderful! 😊✈️ - LR
Is it true that Lufthansa and Air France don’t fly A380s any more ? Thx
Yes, that's true. Air France retired all, and LH could make a deal with Airbus to give half of their 14 A 380s back for some 350s. LH still has 6 or 7, but it's unclear if they will fly again.

Nice
Hmmm I wonder what #1 is 😳😉😉
I wonder if there will ever be A380 service out of Florida again. I doubt it… unless somehow it’s been briefly revived.
Possibly British Airways flying to Miami or Orlando.
Pretty sure BA have been flying A380s throughout December to Miami daily from LHR?
@@edwardwilson1410 Your right BA have been flying to Miami on 1 of just a couple A380 routes they've reintroduced.
mine is only Melbourne to Singapore Qantas
I flew in to or thambo
i knew that dubai would be the most busiest airport for the a380
Heathrow is such a nightmare. I avoid it at all cost.
Bangkok Thai 380a
Los Ange---what now?!?
Hello
It's not Los Angeleees , it's Los Angelis . And it's not Korean Airlines , it's Korean Air .
Mmmmmm...... I wonder which airport has the most number of departures and arrivals..🤔
I'm pretty chuffed that LHR is number 2 on the list, as it's the centre of the aviation universe it would only be beaten by the obvious king of the A380.
DXB be like : air france with hundred and forty nine. british airways : forty seven. emirates : A HUNDRED AND SEVENTY EIGHT THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED AND NINETY THREE.
LAX
China SIN airport is nice.
Singapore is not China lol
Why waste time on an obsolete and gigantic failure? I've never seen an aircraft scrapped for parts so soon after its launch.
