I have Hunted and Baited Bear for 40 yrs! We use Granola , Nutter Butter Peanutbutter cookies, some Whole corn an Maraschino Cherries, and Trailmix! Frosting for Smear on logs an trees! Feed out of an upright 55 gal drum bolted to tree 12”x12 hole on front side of barrel with metal lid bolted on top. We dump 5 gal Mcdonalds fryer greas in front of barrel an rake it in so Bear tack grease around. Spray a 16 oz bottle of liquid smoke into trees and the next trip 16 oz spray of Anise and Apple Juice! Many 300 lb Bears shot over this set for yrs in Michigan!

Kuiu. Both are great but I like the minimalist aspect of the kuiu better.
Great video. Wow, you are a talker....lol! Ya know, if you haven’t , spot and stalk archery can produce just as high of success as those who choose to bait. My last 4 harvests have all been spot and stalk. However, this year , I think that that I will return to bait. Much better way of sizing and hopefully sexing the bear.

I've killed one bear from the ground. Such a rush! Nice thing about baiting is you can snack on the bait supplies as well..lol
@@SamkoTradBow I can totally relate. My last two arrow kills, spot and,stalk, I was calling and eating a peanut butter bar....I know that yummy snack actually helped to bring those bears, who were hungry, kissing close!

What is the best way to mix this bait up
A shovel, 2x2, etc. Anything stout enough to move it.
Glad I'm hunting private land so I can use a barrel.....5hour drive each way so gotta make that bait last
