South Carolina Youth Wind Symphony

The South Carolina Youth Wind Symphony is a highly select, All-State quality band of approximately 80 members, open by invitation to high school students from throughout South Carolina. The group meets twice each spring to rehearse and perform band music drawn from both the standard professional repertoire and exciting new works for band. Students performing as a part of the SCYWS are among the finest high school woodwind, brass, and percussion players in the state. The mission of the SCYWS is the study and performance of the highest quality band literature available.
