This is my first ever animatic! Thank you to everyone for supporting me through the process of me speedrunning this video lmaoo. I basically worked on this project nonstop for the past like 3 1/2 weeks and made and edited 130+ illustrations in that time! Needless to say i'm taking a short break now and am probably gonna start doing my summer homework orz

Oh wow, that was beautiful! The ending where Lan Zhan sees Wei Wuxian again, and it's like he's looking at light, that was beautiful! And all the memories he has of Wei Wuxian, from bad to good, that he reflects on... beautiful. I love these two, I'm so glad that despite everything they went through, they found each other in the end.

The part he saw Wei ying hurt me most. Inside Lan Zhan he’s thinking: “is it really you? Weiying!?” And the simmering light in his eyes light up once more.
Seeing Lan Wangi playing the soul summoning song is what really made me start to cry.........

So I really have to say that this is amazing! The way you conveyed the story fitting to the lyrics is great.
And I rly wanna compliment you on the robes- especially the Lan ones. They have been drawn exceptionally well, especially the shadows.

I LOVE the airbrushed quality and textures that you use for everything here, and the emotions you conveyed are so raw !!
and I'm not 100% sure if this was intentional, but the way everything has washed out, pale colors fits so well! and then at the end we finally get brighter, more saturated colors as WWX comes back into LWJs life! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
i also just really love the way you draw hair, the way it drapes and has weight to it is really well done! art goals right there tbh.
I just keep coming back to this, keep rewatching it, noticing more and more things I love about it.
I think the part I love most is "admidst a concrete jungle, used to fall from great heights" just bc the emotion you have displayed on WWXs face, the framing of it, the colors, just AAAAAAAAAA perfection! and the small camera shake at the part with the cracked glass just Really Hits as well!
I keep accidentally looking at this from a storyboarding analysis perspective, curse the art courses I took last semester! Just let my enjoy my animatics in peace lmao
turning off my art brain and just enjoying this tho-- I swear I nearly cried when I watched this the first time, and it still makes me emotional the like, 15th or some time I've come back to it lmao

thank you sm for the comment!! unfortunately I don't really see how I could continue the animatic story after this ending, and I'm probably not going to be able to make another animatic for a while because of schoolwork, but who knows! if anyone wants to to something inspired by this, they're more than welcome to!
