Not again, no, he will never let go" Part reminded me of this scene from the novel where all the sects are ready to fight WWX and LWJ and Lan Qiren says 'Wangji?' waiting for him to join the fight by their side as well but he just replies with a simple 'Uncle.' and stays by Wuxian's side. He really doesn't want to let go this time.

The feelings I have for this song are strangely beautiful. There's something about this anime/novel that's just so heartbreaking. Especially about the two lovers. Every time I think about this anime I'm holding in the urge to cry. It's a weird feeling, but it's also a sign of great character writing. I'm beyond attached. The cover is beautiful too, good job!
Okay you finally put everything I felt for so long into words. I couldn't ever bring myself to finish any form of this story and only get the gist of what happened by my friend who is an avid fan, because of the same exact feeling. Every time I try, there's this pain just piercing me. Especially whenever I play this song. It's just too much for me to bear. Maybe I'm just oversensitive but that's what I feel.

Because It's less a romance than it is a tragedy of a young man and his close ones. It's the tragedy of Wei Ying losing everything and everyone he loves in various ways to gain new ones through another one's life who suffered too much to continue living

I was prepared to hate it, like I do every single other dubbed anime/donghua song (and to tackle WangXian of all things, the nerve!) but this is genuinely great. It's amazing and the singers are super talented. My hat's off to you!

Hello??? I had chills the whole time!!
And i notice that the eng cover had different lyrics from the original? The original lyrics were (from what I've seen in translations anyway) about lan wangji's longing before and during wei ying's death. The lyrics covered lan wangji's thoughts and feelings during the hardest times of their lives. The original lyrics showed us a glimpse of their thoughts pre-rebirth. The regret, desperation, confusion, hope, longing and love were the main emotions of the original.
And then in this cover the lyrics are now mostly about lan wangji's resolve and intense devotion to secure wei ying's longer existence this time. There is still that longing but we now understand that it is not lwj's main priority anymore. We can feel the relief, determination and happiness that his wei ying came back to him. And of course that glimpse of content when they finally got their happy ending.
Aaah!! My feelings are all over the place. Anyway i just wanted to say i really love that. I love that you gave us listeners a little different version of wangxian.

As someone who speaks both English and mandarin and frequently translates mdzs pieces for my non-mandarin speaking friends, I think you did an amazing job with this song! I didn’t think it would be possible to turn this into an English song so smoothly but you did wonderfully. What a beautiful voice!

3:30 What I love so much about this scene is how the lyrics perfectly fit how the colours come blending in, and everything looks more clear now. Before it looked mostly black and white, but when the words “Love’s embrace” is said, the colours come spilling in, and we can see LWJ and Wei Ying’s face more clearly. It’s as if after they met, their love became more clear, and everything around them became more clear like a puzzle finally being finished or finding your way out of a maze. The part that got me the most is how Wei Wuxian was already a good and righteous man in his first life. He was fighting for good, he protected the innocent and had to be different from others because he had no other choice. Yet they didn't accept him and in the end both his powers and people's thoughts about him made him go insane.
I just cant stop imagining the pain wangji is in, the fact that if he expressed himself earlier, weiying wldnt hav to die. And now that he died, everything collapsed. Not even ashes remained, so all he can do is grab a pint of emperor’s smile, drink and look to the moon with the breeze in his face, reminiscing the past and where everything could have taken a turn for the better, if only he had done sth. I always thought romeo and juliet was tragic... but after reading this novel watching the anime , the live action series and honestly everything about it... I can say this love story tops them all its dramatic, its sad its beautiful its honest and shows the love we all are looking for... I mean LWJ loves him for all his life he got injured for him waited half his life for him searched for him .... finding our soulmate is what we all wishing for I think... even if the way to find him/her will hurt like hell , I definetly would go all the way like LWJ did fpr WWX

Actually the story of MDZS is just too sad for me (i love it, don't get me wrong, but i always cry) it's just too unfair what happened to both Wei Ying and Lan Zhan....there's a lot of hurt packed in one story, and this beautiful love song just made me remember why i read through it. If they can endure it so can i.
