It gets rid of flash buffering though, which is quite useful on some champs (like Annie).
Yes, it's a must use on a some champions while player preference on others.

IMPORTANT WARN: there combos where you set your champion to cast a skill out of range so that when you flash/dash into the range the skill comes out instantly

Laser might also be worse with this. Its easier to pre cast e then flash to catch enemy off guard.

Things I love about Viktor. An evolved E does more damage than a full rotation of Xeraths basic abilities, at the same range. Both parts of Q are easy smooth brain point and clicks that are unreasonably good at winning quick trades with little to no repercussions, because shield and speed boost. His evolved W gives him free rylais, so he doesn't have to waste time buying one. And his ult can be no skilled clicked onto the enemy ADC to completely remove 80% of their HP, stop their channeled ability, or their presence in a teamfight with absolutely no thought needed after clicking. These are actually all things I hate about Viktor.

I play vlad and this setting being off is actually better bc i use r-flashcombo everygame. If you r outside of range he “walks” into range and instantly casts r. Now if u flash INTO the max range for the r it instantly goes off. It is much faster that flashing and then r. So this setting could he good for some champs, but not for mine.

It's called buffering
That's why it's a toggle, I think riot did right making it a player choice which way to use rather than just changing it.
yeah, input buffering is used on so many champs, I really doubt I'll be turning this setting on tbh

I remember that in the past this mechanic change had it's own mentioning in the patch list. For example some years ago Syndra q and MF e got changed to that.

The amount of times I press Viktor R within range only for him to still walk into enemies without casting ult and die full hp because the game believed I was far off by 3 pixels...
This. Viktor is probably gonna benefit the most from this change because of his e and r
Finally, I have deliberately not played Champions who operate like Annie because it always feels like there's this delayed response or maybe my distance is slightly off, I just played a game as riven where I was trying to q over a wall and I stopped for a second to line it up before she turned around and tried Auto attacking before I got the third one off

yeah you turn it on for some champs and based on what u are more comfortable with
On fiddle i actually got used to precasting E so it autocasts when i get in range
Cassiopeia also had this on her Q. you could get around it though by turning on quick cast

Remember people, when you see that the skillshot suddenly starts heading the opposite way, it isn't a bug! For those who don't know this option makes the exact place where your cursor was as a fixed point, if you pass the point the skill will keep aiming at it so pay attention to that (people had serious problems using it on champions like Pyke)
Sorry....I don't quite get the warning, like if you flash and have the ability clicked out of range but your flash puts you in range the ability casts where you clicked and not max range in that direction?

@@Shadowblitz2 i meann, i get that he thinks it creates like an 'anchor point' wherever you click, so if you're somewhere else it will cast 'towards it' but from a different place, but...
But thiis setting is kinda made to make the ability go off instantly so there's no way for you to 'move' relatively to the anchor point after you queue it, duhh

There’s a Taliyah tech with her w that requires this setting be off. I’m so glad it’s an option.
The tech is to press w where you want it to be and flash into range, the w will instantly start and you can catch people out with it very often.
This explains why my Ekko W was so off lately..

I used viktor a few times and would always end up walking back towards enemies when using his E lazer.
Either I would walk back and get smashed and I would walk back cancel walk away and the walk back again to recast.
I stop using viktor for months but now Ima retry him again.

I was so damn happy when they changed Yorick’s E to function like that
MF's E is coded that way to cast o max range eve if the cursor is off limits, when i first played leagie MF was one of the first champ I played, the i went to another such as Morg, lux, sivir etc, I notice that even MF and Lux E and morg W, being basically the same skill, whenever I tried to cast morg and lux skill off limits, they started walking until they could reach it

I have noticed a little problems in some situations
Running away, if you are trying to kite someone with ability range, sometimes the movement orders will interfere with the out-of-range cast, making it like you walk torwards that area of the spell for a fraction of a second and may get yourself caught by that
If you are usung an ability that is charged but requires pointing, if you begin to charge out of range, you'll kind of lock the ability to that position if you move (Varus, Pyke, etc) and it feels awful
With Annie i had i issues with her STOPPING with ult and Q.. when i use them out of range. Atleast they fixed ult now..

Heads up with this setting for Zac players. Theres a bug with his E. im not sure what triggers it but when it happens his E will stop functioning properly for the rest of the game unless you turn it off. when you try and channel it will just go in random directions.

I'd love to have quick cast with indicaotr for spells like Karthus Q over this... I use same binds like Bjergsen, when I hold Shift all spells are quick cast with indicator 😢

In blizzards moba you can configure this as a well as quick cast settings and hotkeys on a per hero(champion)/ability basis. One of the features I wish league would adopt.

I feel like this is useful as Hwei, I kept messing up combos because I wasn't in range for EE, then I press Q and end up sending EQ.
karth always had this in his passive. they just featured it on other abilities now
The way you do it with annie is you cast your ult outside of range, so she starts walking towards the target. And THEN you flash, getting into range instantly which automatically makes the ult go off.
The only champ id use this option with is GP.
I turned this on and shaco boxes are always misplaced if you casted over a wall lol

with this setting, you can't buffer ult flash as Annie though, in the way that you ult first then flash

This is really good with zyra. Her ult has surprisingly low range despite the massiva area and it feels super clunky to ult with her sometimes

Some habits better to be overcomed, yes it's hard at the beginning but in a long shot it increses thr efficiency
