Myth: You can't use metal utensils on cast iron cookware. Fact: Cast iron is the most durable metal you'll ever cook with. That means any utensil is welcome - silicone, wooden, and even metal.
Wooow! Thanks for sharing this recipe. Would really like to develop a garden like yours. What's your tip on the herbs I should start with? Love your program ❤
go with ones which are easy to grow - parsley, thyme, basil, rosemary - that said, make sure they're herbs you enjoy or they will go to waste.
Thank you! ❤
I want to make it with sweet potatoes. Ill see hiw it goes😊
Whoaa tasty!!! Dont think I can get callaloo in Ireland, I may substitute for spinach (?), no pumpin vines either, I'll try growing some next year. I will definetly give this a go!! Looks soo tasty and nutritious!!! Thank you ❤
Im not sure where in Ireland you are but Tesco,Asda and Morrisons sell tinned Callaloo
Substituting with spinach is good, i personally love to add stinging nettle over spinach.
Enjoy,its so delicious
go with spinach, kale, swiss chard etc...
@@vitanavitas9922 while I've kept away from nettle (as a kid I ran into the buses and paid), I cna def see it working nicely.
@@caribbeanpot thank you! I will try variations on different days
@@vitanavitas9922 thank you!! I will look out for the tinned products, also for suggesting nettles, I might give that a go someday, sounds interesting
You make beautiful + passionate food and have learned from you for years (in my own fusion wok-style dishes). What I'd like to know a little bit more about is the use of coconut milk. Is it a given that coconut milk is from the can? From Thai to Trinidad the use of this ingredient seems to be canned without mention, as it is either dried coconut or somehow freshly acquired?
Im based in Canada, so while we do get dried coconuts which I can use to make my own milk (a new video coming soon.. milk and cream), this recipe I used canned coconut milk (not from Thailand)
@@caribbeanpot You are a master of cooking. It takes one to know one. It seems coconut milk is usually canned and some Ital/Macrobiotic's avoid cans (as a rule-moderation being that rule). Thank you very much this Ital dish looks superb. Vegan as a terminology is defunct (thanks to cult weirdos), yes I remember when it only meant strict vegetarian :) Thanks again.
I want to know what else you grow in your garden, starting an indoor garden myself.
peep the video I shared last week
