2023 Lord of The Springs 37 Mile

It was a fantastic day for a race with fantastic riders. I missed 1st AG by 1 second, but had a ton of fun riding and racing with the group and am proud to have put everything out there and happy with my current conditioning.
I was in Wave 1 again this year on the 37 mile course. For the majority of the video, this was the chase group coming out of the single track. I continue to struggle with positioning on the sandy two track climb leading up to the first section of single track. Based on Rob Meendering's photos, I estimate that I was 18-19th going into the single track, and about 14th or 15th coming out. I find half the fun in racing is developing a plan and then analyzing the execution and effectiveness of that plan afterwards. More to work on for next year :)
There is about 9 minutes missing in the middle of the race where my first GoPro died before I started my second GoPro. It's unfortunate, because in this window of time, two riders in the group attacked and broke off ahead, catching one of the riders in the lead group. One of these two riders was a teammate, so while it was a bit depressing to watch them ride away, it was impressive to see how they did it. I am testing a couple of different batteries to see if I have one that will give me more run time before Peak2Peak in a few weeks, and Iceman in November.
