After being traded to the kings, he played really good for them.
I remember watching a post game interview with Rudy and he was saying how he was in the worst slump of his career and how it’s been mentally affecting him then that freakin Achilles injury happened not even a couple weeks later. He was doing really good, it’s not his fault the team was so poorly put together. As well as the fact without trades it was gonna be hard to get decent players.
So skilled offensively. I think this is what we should expect from Jabari Parker in his early career.
Most underated player in the Nba. Yet has to unlock full potential though.

I didn't watch a lot of kings games this year, I just viewed the box scores so please forgive me of I sound ignorant. But can somebody please tell me why weren't competing for a playoff spot? Between Gay, Cousins, and Thomas they were consistently dropping at least 60 points collectively almost every night. I mean I know they're a young team and there's still the matter of defense but I just thought that with their three person scoring punch that would help them compete in a lot more games.

Rudy gay isn't a team player to be honest. He been traded twice. He's more of the perfect person to come off the bench because of his offense. That's if you could get him to agree to come off the bench. Which he won't because he's cocky as hell!
They are a solid team...for 3 quarters...they always loose in the 4th

Rudy Gay is a better defender, a more willing passer, a more efficient scorer and just as good a rebounder all while being 2 years younger. I'm not saying he's as good as Melo but he's better in quite a few vital areas which is enough for your assessment to be invalid.

i watched most of the kings game so far. He's a willing passer. Demarcus is 1st option and he knows he 2nd. Kings just need a better PF and some bench players that can shoot 3s and they will be contenders.

Rudy Gay seems like he hasn't improved in a few years. It's weird. Like he's seemed like he was on the edge of becoming a really good or great player for awhile. Just lacks consistency and a will to win.
