i love this guy's positivity. also his attitude towards stocking levels and water changes is perfect. he is absolutely right. stocking levels depend on water changes. the more often you change your water, the more you can stock your tank.
if you do 25% once or twice a month, then you need to stock low... if you do 25%+ *every single day* then you can "overstock".

Oh. My. Goodness. This video seems to speak to me. I live Hawaii too, and I like to visit Kalihi Pets often, especially after work since it's just a five minute drive from my work place. I've been thinking about diving into this as a lifestyle, and I can't tell you how much of an inspiration this is. This gives me such an unreal boost to go for it and never give up.

Your video converted me. I have always loved fish. Growing up we had wall to wall fish tanks. I never saw the beauty in the Lionhead or Ranchu fish. Until now. WOW! You have some amazingly beautiful fish. I have a new found respect for the bone structure and body types of these amazing animals. I recently saved a small group of comets from a pet store. I adore my fish. They are so peaceful to watch and come straight to me at feed time. They even like to follow me as I move around the room. I got my daughter interested and she bought fish as well. We hope to get her boys involved with the fish so they will carry on the love and passion. Blessings to you all.

I hope all is well with the volcano, and all is safe!
The volcano started acting up within the last two days so this video was made before that. There are people without power due to the lava melting the electrical wires on the outdoor poles. And there is evacuation from certain areas. Let's hope they got shelters there. Aloha!

I got 6 goldfish in a 36 gallon bow front tank- 2 comet 3-5in - 1 red cap orando 2-3in- 1 black Moore 2-3in- 1 fantail 2in- 1 rayukin 2-3in.. I know I need a bigger tank and a 75 gallon is coming soon but all my goldfish are happy and healthy. I have one marine land 200 filter and do %25-30% water changes every other day. Tank and fish been going strong for 3 months now. Can’t wait until the 75 gallon is ready though.
Facts goldfish are very friendly and beautiful... I started with some 35 cent goldfish and everyone was saying aw man you should get different fish and i did, but i am most dedicated and proud of my goldfish because they actually grow a bond with you. Cool video

Goldfish growth are more about food, space, and "genes"....I have a tab and not doing water changes. I just add water when it evaporates. But! I my filter bucket is doing all the magic.

good evening , joey congratulations for your goldfish business , for your gold fish fries , you may feed , hard boiled egg yolk the yellow portion only ,for increasing the chances of fry to survive ,it is easily available and also nutritious for the baby fishes . for natural spawning to succeed in gold fishes you have to use lot of plants orelse the nylon spawning mops avilable in the market ,that maybe the one reason why all the eggs dont hatch in your fish farm . the eggs stick to the plants /cryptophylum or spawning mops ,and then they hatch easily .

I love goldfishes exp the Ryukins....Thailand is a country that come out with pretty good quality goldfishes now...I hope that Joey makes Hawaii 1 of the places where quality goldfishes can be found, up there with Japan and China!
His theory is correct.
The fish release something into the water so they can assess how much they can be grow safely. Changing the water removes the substance, so they don't stunt their growth.
