I've recently been trying out wich domination civ is best, and it might just be harald (original.) I seems crazy, but here's the strat: you rush beserkers. They have a huge power spike. Then shift click advanced flight, and pillage your way there. I got planes at turn 138. Won the game at 145. (Standard size, 7 seas map, everything Standard. On deity)
Ive tried the coastal set up three time with norway and every time i had to have a land army because the oceans were not connected and the were landlocked feels bad man

What map setting is best to get it so you've got a big ocean only you can cross and go pillage the folks on the other side of the map? I kept trying and getting small shallow water connection ways between islands.

Have you done a heroes only game for units? If you get Arthur early, you can easily take over a civ each era before walls
Not yet but I should!! I did a religious dom game where I could only faith buy military units and I just used heroes in the beginning~

possibly! I didn't finish the game because i got all of the petras so early i honestly didn't want to wait like 150 extra turns to play LOL

There's Inland Sea where there's just a big massive sea in the middle! You can also try lowering the sea level too in the game settings
Probably the only Civ VI player that has this much fun playing it.
Sometimes it scares me how good people are at 4x games
If you have the bug that your hotkeys dont work, just go into the options menu and close it again. easiest fix i found out
It used to work for me before the last patch, but it doesn't anymore :^(. It's ok I have a decent computer so it's a like 20 second reload at max

Have any of you done religion victory pillage only? I did that in my most recent Viking game. Was fun. Hard to resist conquests, but fun.
that sounds fun! i haven't tried that but it seems very good with the amount of faith you'll get from pillages with the Raid card in
