I would point out Lips is a child so prob better to drop that weapon to make him a non combatant but you have pug with a gun so
I like to think the ‘shelves’ are dug into the ground anyway.

Seems like you need to scale back on the growing. I've noticed for the b past few episodes that it really gets in the way of any research, construction, or crafting progress. Plus it increases your wealth. Not sure how willing you are to either take a colonist away from growing or reducing the size of your farming area for now. It seems your colony could survive it.
He did disable a lot of the growing zones, so hopefully it'll help speed up progress.
Maybe he'll get to eventually poke the monolith. :)
Why don't you just pick a pawn or two and just give them higher priority on cleaning so you don't have to micromanage it all the time? Same for hauling.
i mean the idea is nice to take the anomaly stuff in but it isnt in the direction you wanted to go with the original hope run. where you wanted to sell the bases but if you want to change the story i think it is fine
for your low quality smelt you need to add amp grenades and Molotovs
Quill prefers to keep EMP grenades, and I believe he is correct. With a good choke point a single pawn holding EMP grenades can stun every mech in a raid.
