Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of the Astera AX1 PixelTibes, and I plan to keep using them. However, for DJs wanting to keep their spending in a specific budget range, the Astera uplights leave you with little wiggle room. That's why I'm recommending these new uplights called the Glotubes!

Hey Daryl, I have tried these direct from the manufacture. Although they aren't super bright and don't have DMX, I think they are still great lights for the price. The remote works great on them and they've been reliable so far. Perfect for plug and play DJ's that don't wanna mess with DMX.

Always get what you pay for. Are they astera? Nope. But for $90 each, they're perfect.

They are cool for sure. The only down side for me is that they are not DMX controllable. But at that price, I might pick up a set for my studio!!

@@djjs7390 Ape labs Ape tubes are if you buy their dmx box called Connect. I use them with soundswitch

Same with the Chauvet Pro WELL STX. But they are about the same price as the Astera.
@@djjs7390 Both lighting just released their own pixel tubes - $1700 for 8 and fully Wireless DMX compatible.

Thanks Joe! How is the sound reactivity? Nothing really seems great, but I've noticed a difference between my Chauvet lights on sound reactive mode vs my Ape Coins (the Ape seem to do a lot better)

Hey Joe - I picked up the JMAZ version (Galaxy Tube), they last 6 hrs or more, about the same price for 6. Zipper case, and charger included.
Def don't look like the glotubes. I don't love the dots.

Does these tube sync together or do you have to go and use the remote individually on them? When they are in a program does the tube automatically sync so every tube is showing the exact same program? thanks in advance

Absolutely not. They have only remote control. Hence the price point.

Much skinnier and plastic, hence $550 for 6 vs. 1 AX1
I got two cases of these but I’ve had some pretty bad customer service from Rod Baker! I reached out to him and he has yet to respond via Instagram. I honestly wanted to return these because they were not as bright as I expected. Kind of annoyed I bought these.
