They were originally planning on driving the cars through a tour of France, but with the lockdown they couldn't leave the country. The gag was that they were trying to sneak the cars into France, by launching them over the channel. In reality they were launching the cars across a field, and I think the shed was a deliberate target for fun. It looks cheaply and quickly made.
