  • This shows the complete process, step by step, making a really small Organic bubble filtered plunge pool. I am constantly amazed how pretty this pool has become and by the consistent clarity of the water. The total pool area is approx 2.2 x 3.2 m and 0.8m deep.

We are in the process of doing this project in our small outdoor garden! Thanks for the video. I'm not clear on how big the gravel bed needs to be in relation to the dipping part. On your long video on your website you say the filter bed needs to be as large surface wise as the pond. Obviously here it's a lot smaller. Could you enlighten us on the ratios? I think this video is the only resource on the smaller dunking pool but if there are more resources please let us know. Many thanks!

any thoughts on whether the pool would still remain clean if the water was kept slightly warmed? or would that cause too much stuff to grow in it?

Is there another way to do the liner, without a liner. My concern is that at some time the liner will break and attempint to redo everything I can imagine is a pain. Ive heard of bentonite clay but wondering if there are other options also.

So to dig the hole, you first stuck together a ring of concrete blocks, then when it holds, you'd dig inside of it, if I understood well ?

David can I make one of these natural pool swimming ponds without the cement brick lining and without the strait up and down drop in the middle part?
Like a pond. But with all other parts of your method being the same.

Hello I’m thinking of building one myself and was told by one of the pool builder companies that no matter what after a while the EDM plastic material will tear and have holes and leak is that true? 🙏🙏🙏

    • @pansepot1490

The EPDM *rubber* from trusted manufacturers comes with a 20 years guarantee which means it will last you a lifetime. It’s the same that gets used by professionals for artificial ponds and lakes.
Of course it must be installed properly with fleece underlay and fleece overlay if walls, rocks or other materials are placed over it.
It’s the PVC plastic that is less durable, I think it has max 5 years guarantee.
Search CZcams for garden ponds building. There’s hundreds of videos that will teach you how but you have to invest some time in learning. Imo mistakes can be costly.

In the U.S., drownings are the number one cause of unintentional injury cause of death for ages 5 and under at about 1,000 per year......
And people are scared of sharks. There was one fatal shark attack in 2022 in the USA.... on Maui. A total of ONE ! Compared to just 5 and under at 1,000 ! ! !

@@francus7227We have really strict rules for pools in Australia, in fact in my area even a pond deeper than one foot gets treated the same as a pool, I believe, and all pools must have childproof fencing. This lovely one here would require a childproof lock on the door, & any windows below about 4 feet would have restricted openings. On the other hand, if you have a waterfront property deep enough for a jetty & boat, or a dam (farm pond), no problem. Still, I’m always seeing North American pools with no fencing at all.

I think in America..... Inly the yard must be fenced. I grew up with a pool. Our backyard was fenced, but our back boarder was a waterway. Nobody could "wonder" into our backyard. But.... anyone back there could fall into the pool or the canal. We rarely considered the danger. We were all like fish. We would ride our bikes to the beach before sunrise. Go surfing. Come back and wake our mom up to fix us breakfast. We were 7 and 9.... Completely unsupervised water activities starting about age 6. We were not the typical family.

@@francus7227 Haha, yeah, those were the days! My parents were divorced, so I’d spend my holidays wandering around the streets of Hong Kong by myself as a 9/10yo girl while my dad was at work, & the rest of the year I’d be alone all night while my mum was working. For sure there’s reasons behind regulations, but we’re definitely wrapping ourselves in cotton wool these days. Have an awesome weekend 😁👍
