  • Join us for our Erev Shabbat service We will be going through the weekly teachings from Monte Judah. This portion, entitled "Bo," meaning "go" or "enter," tells how God told Moses to "go" to Pharaoh and announce the final three judgments: Locusts, Darkness, and Death of the Firstborn. Each time, Pharaoh told Israel they could "go," first without their children, then without their flocks, then for them to "go" and not be seen by him again. Finally, all of Egypt tells Israel to "go" after the death of the firstborn. The Israelites are instructed to bring a "Passover offering" to God: a lamb or kid is to be slaughtered and the blood sprinkled on the doorposts and lintel of every Israelite home, so that the angel of death would pass over them to keep their children safe. After the death of Egypt's firstborn, Pharaoh drives the Israelites out of his land. They leave in haste, creating the matzah bread and asking their Egyptian neighbors for gold, silver, and garments, fulfilling the promise made to Abraham that his descendants would leave Egypt with great wealth. This Torah portion includes instructions for the Passover Seder, which commemorates the Exodus each year and tells the story of their redemption through the generations.

    I’m pretty certain that Yeshua didn’t celebrate the Passover since none of the lambs had been sacrificed yet, they were killed at the same time as his crucifixion, Bo means to come, like YHVH is saying to Moses come along with me as I am going to

    • @richardrutherford7319

      It clearly says he celebrated Sabbath lol

    • @herinsh
      @herinsh Před 6 měsíci +1

      @@richardrutherford7319 Of course, to be a perfect sacrifice He had to obey all the instructions he gave to Moses on the Mountain, the error comes from the generalization of the season of Passover as opposed to the actual Passover, it was simply the last evening meal with the disciples and it did actually occur on the erev of Passover, it just wasn’t the Passover, it was a revelation of what the Passover was foretelling in the prophetic sense

    • @harantish
      @harantish Před 6 měsíci

      @@herinshI've pointed that out in a separate video, that if Yeshua were to be the Passover lamb, he would have to die on the same day and the same time the lambs were sacrificed, otherwise he couldn't have fulfilled the role.

    • @Old-Path
      @Old-Path Před 6 měsíci +2

      This is a great point. I thought the same for a long time and found this as a biblical contradiction. The Pharasee's and Sadducee's celebrated passover on different dates. The Pharasee's were the ruling majority and in control of the temple service. Yeshua kept the passover of the Sadducees on the 14th (as was commanded biblically) and yet died when the lambs were being sacrificed in the temple because the Pharasee's celebrated passover a day later. The same as the jews do to this day.
      Bo means to come or to go in Hebrew. Dual meanings.

    • @harantish
      @harantish Před 6 měsíci

      @@Old-PathThe only question we should be asking is, "When did Yeshua die?" If he were to fulfill the role of the Lamb of God, he must die on the exact same day and time when the Passover lambs are sacrificed, otherwise his death will not be accepted by the Father.
      So, the next question then is, "How could he partake of the Passover meal the lambs themselves have yet to be sacrificed, which He would represent by his death, the next day?" Therefore, the Passover death is the next day. That may be His supper meal, but certainly not the same Passover meal that God commanded.

      Sadly the Jewish folks are taught the Talmud . Which is primarily taught in Israel, I dare say in all synagogues here in the US. I would like to hear what Monty has to say about the Talmud. There are some troubling things in the Talmud. Things that can't be found in Torah.

    As usual, Monte understands the Old Testament annual Passover well but has not read enough of the New Testament to understand Communion and its frequency.
    Even teachers need to study the Bible and not rely on their own flawed understanding.
