- Ling Chi Yeh offers a sneak peak of Spring with a lovely grass orchid compositions in both ink and color. The grass orchid is one of four iconic subjects in Chinese Brush Painting called the Four Gentlemen. The other Four Gentlemen subjects are: bamboo, chrysanthemum and plum. Grass orchid is the Gentleman symbolic of the Spring.
