Thanks for this. At what point would 64 Gb Ram be required on the Mac Studio over 32 Gb?

I get what you're saying here, but the mac mini upgrade to 16GB of RAM is well worth it and will help with editing and stuff like that a lot.

Definitely understand! If you’re able to just get by with that upgrade, I think it’s worth it.

If i am programming in Xcode, and i use SwiftUI to develop apps. I am currently programming on m2 pro mini 16gbs of ram. Should i upgrade to Mac Studio m2 with 32 gbs of ram?

So why not compare the max mini pro with the mac studio base instead?

Considering that the iPhone 15 has a 48 megapixel camera, it stands to reason those types of specs will only continue to get larger with more complicated apps. So especially if you’re video editing, the Mac studio will last longer into the future.

Why not a refurbished M1 Studio Max? Seems it would be way better than an M2 Mini and has all the ports you wanted...?

That's a great option. I didn't keep either of the Macs in this video and am still using my M1 Max Mac Studio. I wanted to compare both M2 models though to see how they compared.

I would select the Mac mini M2 Pro.

I think the Mac Mini would do WAY BETTER if it had a Craylor Hat.

Its an almost $2000 disposable computer cant replace the hard drive or RAM which will fail and it will cost you that much to get it fixed. No thanks to any of those.

This is just ridiculously nonsense. You start with the base model M2 and then make some upgrades, then move on to M2 Pro, then "why not spend $600 more to get the base model Mac Studio because it has more ports". Mac Mini & Mac Studio are two completely different devices with different audiences, and the price difference between those are at the "brand new iPhone 14 Pro Max" level, and all you've covered is the ports difference. Why don't you buy a hub if you care this much about ports? Or just by using your logic, why not spend $5,000 more and buy a Mac Pro because it has more goddamn ports?
