- I traveled aboard newly launched CRRC Sirius Electric Multiple Unit, this is the first operation of this train in the Czech Republic. This train is currently in trial operation, operated by RegioJet on the public service obligation route Ústí nad Labem - Kolín. These units were originally ordered by open access operator Leo Express.

Best looking business class I’ve seen.
Yes, it is.. it's a very good concept :-)
It's actually kind of average. In my opinion, Railjets from OBB and ČD offer better business class seats. Not saying this one's bad, though.
But I think Railjets are higher category of trains, for me Business class on Railjet is one of the best on the market :-)

@@Honza368 ÖBB railjets perhaps, but the ČD version of railjet business class is just awful - impractical, exposed, with zero passenger consideration.
I'd take this seat over ČD railjet business class any day.
A better comparison would be Leo Express Premium on class 480 FLIRTs - those seats are probably more spacious, but personal storage and work surfaces are lacking.
Most unique business class i have ever seen. Seems similar to business class of plane with this configuration.

Yes, it is, I think this seat configuration is much better than the classic 1 + 2 arrangement of 1st class in ordinary trains. But it always depends on the carrier which train configuration it orders.
@@PeteBrandy wide body plane are much wider than trains: so they can make three seats even more in one row and wider seats. For a train, it is impressive.

Maybe it's the microphone, but it seems that the noise from train devices is clearly heard inside, more than in a Stadler. How many seats in business class compare to 2+1 configuration?

Looks great to me! I like the exterior and interior too. China is today at the top place in developing of all kind of stuff, from EVs to trains. They got the biggest railway network of hi-speed trains which are today developed and produced domesticaly in China. Hopefully they got to Europe and push the prices lower. Great video thanx! 🙂

Děkuji, že jsem díky Vám mohl aspoň takhle poznat tuto novou jednotku. Pan redaktor Sůra ji ve svém článku docela pohaněl (jak jinak-jedná se přece o výrobek z Číny). Ale na mě působí interiér celkem přívětivě, na rozdíl od exteriéru. Sedáky "na stojáka" mi přijdou jako celkem dobrý nápad při dopravní špičce a na krátkou vzdálenost. Můj táta vždycky říkal, že je lepší blbě sedět, než dobře stát. Velmi se mi líbí rodinné oddíly a úplně super je ta podložka na natažení nohou v jedničce. Teď ještě čas ukáže, jak budou jednotky spolehlivé v provozu. Těším se na další Vaši jízdu.
Díky za zhlédnutí! Ono to hodnocení dojmu je celkem subjektivní, já jako srovnávací vzorek beru jednotku InterPanter, nebo dálkové verze CityJetů (Desiro ML). Navíc uspořádání interiéru bylo celkem promyšlené, např. to že family zóna je separátně od ostatního sezení, ne uprostřed oddílu jako u některých vlaků.. Sedáky na stání mi také nevadily, není jich takové množství a je to lepší řešení na kratší trasy pro lidi bez místenek, než sedět na zemi ve vestibulech.. :-)
@@PeteBrandy Já jsem před lety najezdil pár tisíc kilometrů po Číně místními vlaky a přestože to nebyly zrovna nejnovější jednotky a vozy, neviděl jsem žádný velký rozdíl mezi jejich vlaky a evropským standardem. Nad řečmi typu "to bude krám z Číny" se jen pousměji, protože Číňan vám prostě vyrobí, co si objednáte. Chcete-li ušetřit a objednáte si co nejlevnější produkt, dostanete prostě špatné zboží. Doufám, že to nebude případ Siriuse.
@@extmis To si mysleli i třeba v USA, že jim CRRC vyrobí, co si objednají.
Sice samozřejmě souhlasím, že Čína dokáže vyrábět velmi kvalitní výrobky, ale to že jsou tamní výrobci schopní a ochotní dodat i naprostý šunt, je problém na trzích, kde zákazník očekává alespoň nějakou minimální kvalitu.
@@firstlast1932 U Číny, stejně jako třeba u Polska, ale platí to i u mnoha jiných zemí, platí víc než jinde úsloví "co si objednáš a kolik dáš, podle toho dostaneš". Např. - koupil jsem si sadu imbusových klíčů "Made in China" za směšnou cenu a dopadlo to hrozně - nic to nevydrželo. Tak jsem šel do železářství znovu a chtěl jsem něco kvalitního, třeba za trojnásobek. A hle, byly kvalitní, a taky China.

Reminds me a lot of FLIRTs, the business class is more airplane like but i guess thats up to the customer to decide on when ordering. The train is longer then a FLIRT and thats nice.

woa business class is impressive. really would like to try it. For the noisy door, I think all train have their issues. I've been in Ice train 5 years ago, and it was very noisy and the door when opening was very noisy like a maintenance issue or issue on the door... so... I'm still impress that China make its way to Czech Rep

Super report, tušil jsem, že přijde i od tebe. :) Sám jsem se o jeden mini report pokusil, ale jen pětiminutový mezi Poděbradami a Mělníkem. Cesta v Business mi přišla skvělá, ale cesta v Economy naopak docela hrozná, a to i oproti základu, který tu jezdí na R23. Ty sedadla ve dvojce mají polstrování asi jako sedadla po DB Desirech. Co se týče zbytku jednotky, tak mi pojezdem dost připomínala Interpanter nebo Pantery první generace. Interiér sice vypadal pěkně, ale zpracování bylo takové polovičaté.
Díky moc! Já jsem se snažil přijít s tím videem co nejdříve, ale musel jsem absolvovat dvě cesty (Ústí - Kolín a pak zpět).. Ano, Business class je skvělá, v ekonomické třídě je to už horší, ale tvrdší polstrování mi přijde v poslední době u nových vlaků jako nový standard, viz třeba 2. třída v InterJetech nebo RejioPanterech. Pojezd mi přišel celkem v pohodě, ta pravobřežka není úplně hladká trať a část asi dělá i to, že jednotka má Jacobsovy podvozky.. Každopádně by mě celkem zajímalo, jaké jízdní vlastnosti a stav budou mít ty jednotky cca po roce provozu.

Do a lot of cargo ( freight) trains go through Usti?( the station you left from) I noticed that area has 2 or 3 stations....great video as always, thanks
Thank you :-) The railway lines run along both banks of the Elbe as far as Děčín, so freight trains going to Germany continue along the right bank of the Elbe towards Děčín. Then they cross the Elbe to the other bank in Děčín. Freight trains in the direction of Cheb go through Ústí nad Labem západ station. Only a minimum of freight trains run through the Ústí nad Labem main station.
Wow! That's an amazing trip report presented here. At first, when I saw the cover of the video, I was surprised that Regiojet wants them in service despite being cancelled by Leo Express due to issues with the rolling stock in the EU certification which I know so far. The business class seating layout is straight out of the airline-style seating plan but arranged in an irregular pattern, which I feel very unique. However, there are some things that I may not like about the train such as the noise of the engine when it accelerates. Also, I heard the sound of the water leaking when you just entered and exited from the toilet, which is weird for me. I'm wondering whether it is a part of the mechanism or a malfunction. Seat padding can be quite hard from the CRRC rolling stock as it is the same with the ETS Class 93 series. Seated the trains from Kuala Lumpur to Sungai Petani and I had been changing my way of seating all the time onboard. By the way, keep up your great work :)

Thanks so much! RegioJet is only the carrier during the trial operation of those trains, but the units are still owned CRRC. Sirius trains will only run on this line for about 3 months (up to a run of 50,000 km). As for the seats, they are also quite hard in second class on this train. Yes, the water sensors are quite sensitive and the water starts already when entering the toilet. Overall, we will see how the test run turns out and if these units will subsequently be put into regular operation after certification.

Vypadají docela pěkně tyhle jednotky, doladit pár detailů a byly by super i na hlavní tratě.
Celkem ano, uvidíme na jakých výkonech nakonec skončí, akorát na dálkové trasy by to chtělo pár změn, ale celkový dojem byl spíše pozitivní :-)

Thanks :-) There's a kitchen in the middle of the train, so this train is designed for on-seat or minibar services.. but there is no on-board service on this line, so in the kitchen they only make coffee for business class passengers.

Jednotka je celkem fajn, až se doladí počáteční nedostatky, tak to určitě bude dobrý vlak. Z Posázavského Pacifiku tu mám dvě videa, jedno z části Praha - Čerčany (749 + Bdmteeo) a druhé z části Čerčany - Zruč nad Sázavou (vozem 810)
Pokud chcete vidět rozpadající se jednotku, svezte se s Leoexpresem "Švýcarskou kvalitou" vyrobenou v Polsku 🙂
You think Leo Express will survive? I was one of their first travelers and in the beginning they were really good. But the last years their service and quality is rapidly going down and they hardly have any improvement in lines. Don't understand why they cancelled this order of trains as they really need an upgrade on their aging Stadler Flirt. RegioJet really steps up with these trains. This looks really inviting as I see your report here and on IG.
Thanks for watching! Leo Express canceled the order due to a delay in the certification process. And I think, another reason is that Leo Express now has new owners, which are Renfe and CAF Zaragoza, so it's probably assumed that they will buy trains from Spain in the future. Sirius units are still owned by CRRC, it's currently unknown who will buy them, whether RegioJet or someone else.
@@PeteBrandy Oooow, I missed the part that Renfe and CAF took over LE. That is a major upgrade and curious what their plan is for the future. Curious if they will expand to other countries as LE was already working together with Flixbus if I'm correct.
I hope that Leo Express will develop in the future. Leo Express owns the license to transport in several countries, so maybe this is also the reason why Renfe bought Leo Express.
The Covid delayed the certifcation process, and put the Leo express in financial problem. Then it was bought by the Spanish, that's why the order was cancelled.

Ten vlak je fakt zajímavý, tím že teď Číňany mají vlak v provozu v EU tak se muže stát že jich teď tady pojede čím dal více.
Doufám že se ten koncept s těmi sedačkami neprosadí, a že to úplně zmizne. Tá business třída je dobrá! Koncept se mi líbí! 😃
Čínské vlaky už má WestBahn v Rakousku, a pak snad něco jezdí i v Srbsku.
V rakousku nemají ještě souhlas od drážního úřadu a Westbahn je ještě nepřevzal
Díky moc! Je to možné, WestBahn také testuje několik vlaků od CRRC. Ta Business class je skvělý koncept, člověk má jistotu že může sedět sám a pouze na krajích jsou místa se stolkem proti sobě. A standing seats jsou spíše myšleny pro cestující co jedou kratší úsek bez rezervací, kteří by jinak ve frekventovaných dnech (pátky / neděle) seděli na podlaze ve vestibulech.. jinak ta místa nejsou ani v rezervačním systému :-)
Ted je na tom RJ jen napis vepředu, a na sedačkách ( za hlavou) jinak je to porad LE. A doufám, ze ty divný místa na stání půjdou pryč. Jinak hezky vlak a hezké video👍

The foot rest, sliding your legs inside, looks very comfortable.....one concern...if the train has to stop quickly, could your legs get jammed in??...and you pulled out....?? i would rather have my legs free for better movement....perhaps might happen in 1 in 10,000 or so times...😉😉..........so be careful....thanks for the vid.......🚂🚂
Thanks so much! Yes, that's right, maybe the seat should be equipped with a seat belt.. anyway, this seat concept is inspired by aviation seats, we'll see if it stays with these trains after their certification.
What is the castle - like building on top of the hill in Usti nad labem ? I have searched google and find other one.
Its Větruše, there is a cool cable car that can take you to the top.
Another one is probably Strekov castle, also gorgeous one

Zdravím, s Railjetem bych ji asi nesrovnával, ten je v jiné kategorii .. jinak InterPanter je cca srovnatelná kategorie, myslím že Sirius by dopadl lépe kvůli lépe řešenému interiéru (1. třída není průchoďák, čtyřky se stolky jsou na krajích oddílů a také podvozky mají kultivovanější sound.. co je ale lepší u InterPantera jsou přepážky s dveřmi mezi vestibuly a oddíly, v jednotce Sirius při častějším otvírání dveří v mrazech může být celkem zima, zvláště umístění prostor pro vozíčkáře přímo vedle dveří bez zástěny mi přijde dost nešťastné. Ale celkově na mě jednotka působila dobře.
It will be interresting where the trains will be used in future. But I think it´s a little strange, that the trial operation is taking place on a route with only 3 Kv DC and without 160km/h speed. They can´t test all on line R23.
The trial operation started on the route Přerov - Otrokovice, where in the first phase of the tests the unit ran 2000 km in the section with a change of power supply systems (this route is designed for 160 km/h). After this phase, tests began with passengers for which the R23 line was the most suitable, for the R8 line these units have a small capacity.

Zajímavá jednotka, ta místa ke stání jsem ještě nikdy neviděl. Ale moc pohodlný to asi nebude, jak si sám psal.

I really like how modern the train, especially the economy section. I am not a fan of the business class seats, though. I think other trains provide better business class (even RegioJet themselves on their normal trains).
In my opinion, these units are more suitable for medium-long routes (I am comparing them more with ČD InterPanter units). Of course, Business class on Railjets or in the former ÖBB Amz / Ampz coaches is a level higher.

V podstatě lepší průměr.Jízdní vlastnosti nadprůměrné.Pohodlí průměrné.Malé nedostatky,které se dají odstranit.(pomalé otvírání dveří,číselné ozn,vagonů)
To ten vlak jel více méně prázdný? Alespoň na videu to tak vypadá. Přitom se psalo, že o svezení je veliký zájem...
Našel jsem si podle rezervací ten nejméně obsazený spoj ve všední den hned zpočátku provozu, většinu záběrů jsem pořídil mezi Litoměřicemi a Štětím, kde je tato linka nejméně vytížená .. v Business z Ústí do Kolína jel se mnou v Business jen jeden cestující, ale pak jsem jel zpátky Kolín - Ústí a to už bylo v Business 10 lidí.

Leo Express canceled the order due to a delay in certification. Moreover, Leo Express has new owners - Renfe, and they will probably prefer other manufacturers.

终于看到有人拍这个火车。这列火车在中国很受关注，因为是中国制造。但是我们中国自己运营的火车样子都蛮丑的。😅😅😅好的产品都出口到国外。自己人用的都是一般的产品。
No interior doors is definitely a big minus. Draft will be problematic most of the year, but especially in winter. The engine noise seems loud but maybe the absence of passengers that talk make it worse. Must have been a quiet Sunday morning trip... Interior materials and fabrics look too plastic for my taste.
Those "standing seats" are straight up disgusting. They are a real testament to how some (private) operators will do anything to squeeze money out of people and their own operations. It's literal cattle class, totally unacceptable conditions for an intercity train, or really any train ever. I'd rather stand in the hallway than be squished into these bookshelf-size "seating" rows.
These should be outlawed to not even allow other operators to think about implementing this stupid idea.
It's likely that you don't need a reservation for this train. It's not uncommon to stand during rush hour (that's my assumption from it being R-line)
Original idea to install some standing seats were short-distance passengers travelling without seat reservations during the peak times (Fridays / Sundays), on classic trains they sit on the floor in the vestibules or corridors .. so it coul’d help to keep free corridors and vestibules.
That’s an issue of not enough frequency and this solution of standup seats is a very short term thinking bad idea.
@@Konkacha it's not uncommon here for rail systems to run at capacity, so adding frequency would require significant infrastructure upgrades (or removing service from other lines)

Proč to Leo objednal a pak to nechtěl?
Opozdilo se schvalování a tím i dodání, takže z toho důvodu odstoupili v roce 2022 od smlouvy. A také se spekuluje, že to souvisí i s novými vlastníky Leo Expresu, kterými je Renfe (Španělské dráhy) a CAF Zaragoza, což je španělský výrobce vlaků, takže pravděpodobně nechtěli kupovat vlaky od konkurence.

I found in the reservations the least occupied train on a weekday at the very beginning of the service and I took most of the footages between Litoměřice and Štětí, where this line is the least busy .. from Ústí to Kolín only one passenger traveled with me in Business, but then I travelled back Kolín - Ústí and this connection was more occupied.

The business class looks stunning, however those standing seats don't make that much sense. Idk who woudl travel in these?! Maybe someone that woudl've traveled 2 stops or something and was on a low budget. Other than that, nobody woudl like these.

First of all, it actually has a 4 class configuration: "standing seats" (cattle class), "family" benches, 2nd class (looks decent) and plane-like business class (maybe a good idea for long-haul routes if the seats could be converted to flat-lie beds - I think there's already something similar in use in Norway)), but they are not priced accordingly to this. And with standing seats they are ahead of Ryanair. On the other hand (if your microphone isn't exaggerating) it must be quite noisy. Sincerely speaking, I don't think they will last and Leo probably had a good reason for cancelling them.
Thanks for watching! Yes, the configuration of the train corresponds to more travel classes, the configuration remained original from Leo Express. But RegioJet only has 2 travel classes on this public service observation route, so only these two are marked here. In this case, due to the absence of other sounds, the microphone had a higher sensitivity, therefore the train may appear noisier, but compared to e.g. Škoda RegioPanter units, this unit is quieter. I think the real reason why Leo Express withdrew from the contract was the delay in completing the certification of these trains, and also probably because of the new owner of Leo Express, which is Renfe in cooperation with the train manufacturer CAF Zaragoza.
Hezky zpracované video! Ale ten český překlad na těch cedulkách na záchodě je hrozný. Jediné snad, co je správné je: "Voda nevhodná k pití", "Otevřít/Zavřít", "Automatický senzorový kohoutek" (i když to bych spíše dal, jako "Přiložte ruku k čidlu) a "Mýdlo".
Ale ostatní... Vysoušeč rukou nazvali "Sušičkou", splachování nazvali, jako "Proud", Zákaz vhazování odpadků do WC nazvali, jako "Zákaz skládky"... A to ani nemluvím o slovenském překladu, kde je navíc ještě splachování uvedeno, jako "Stream". A "Nekouřit" bych dal spíše, jako zákaz kouření. A i ten polský je nic moc. Holt Leo Express není schopný zajistit kvalitní překlad a u polštiny a angličtiny si najít rodilého mluvčího, nebo opsat to z cedulek z vlaků v daném státě.
P.S. Alespoň Leo Expressu zůstala reklama v podobě koberce. :-)
Díky :-) Ty překlady je vidět, že je nikdo od výrobce nekonzultoval se zákazníkem (dopravcem), ale je možné že se to dodělávalo narychlo až kvůli zkušebnímu provozu s cestujícími, takže to nejspíš byla improvizace ze strany techniků od CRRC :-D.

Ty jednotky byly vyrobené původně pro Leo Express, proto mají tuto barvu / These units were originally made for Leo Express, that's why they are in this livery.

Bezva. Aspoň to v Česku bude konečně vypadat jako v 21.století.
Ta jednička to je jiný kafe, než ty přesvětlený autobusy od ČD. Proč třeba takto neřešili 680, nebo IJ a budoucí CJ? I ty sedačky jsou v obou třídách lepší než ty co mají ČD. Ty místa na stojáka, možná kdyby tam dali madla jako v MHD tak by to nebylo takové bizarní.
Ta 1. třída je opravdu povedená, líbí se mi že je to řešené především pro solo cestovatele, což bývá v prémiových třídách většina .. jinak seats ve 2. třídě byly za mě v pohodě, akorát ty rodinné oddíly měly dost tvrdá sedadla.
Ty opěrná sedadla na stání neměl Leo express požadovat.je to nesmysl
Prý to bylo pro cestující v krátkých úsecích co jedou bez místenek, co by jinak stáli.

Second class seats with a concrete feel. Reminds one of some of the new horrendous UK trainsets.
Standard toilets are extremely extremely cramped. And dedicating a space for a urinal is not only a waste of space but will likely make for a very foul-smelling toilet.
Useless and very uncomfortable standing seats. Also, in my opinion, a safety hazard because jamming more people on a train in extremely cramped standing seats is not a smart idea if a train needs to be evacuated quickly in an emergency.
A waste of seating space in business class with fixed, pod-like tables that do not allow for a third seat in each row.
Also, a very noisy ride, due to the lack of soundproofing from the extremely loud whine of the train motors.
Hopefully, EU train operators will tell China to keep their sunstandard rolling stock and stick with far better built EU-made train sets.
This video gets a thumbs down for trying to sell us on a product that is not up to RegioJet or most Eiropean rail standards.
