  • The new U-COM range from Interphone is the most advanced yet - incredibly slimline and unobtrusive, but vitally brings extensive compatibility with all Interphone models on the market, as well as other Bluetooth devices, such as your preferred GPS. No longer will you have to waste time trying to pair with your buddies before you ride before inevitably giving up and riding in silence - this new range makes it remarkably easy.
    Check out the U-COM 2 here:

    The U-COM 4 here:
    www.urbanrider.co.uk/interpho...
    Or the U-COM 16 here:

    This remarkably slimline intercom has a separate battery that stays hidden at the back of your helmet, and comes with everything you need in the box - it can fit onto almost any helmet on the market. This is your chance to finally find out what your mates have been talking about on your rides.

    Great video, and very well presented! Thank you. I had no idea about MC comm’s, fitted the U-Com16 then found this video which really helped.

    Perfect installation video and product review. A good question for interphone, if you want to use the U16 for example in many helmets you do not have any availiable option. They offer a set of speakers and microphone, but what about the battery. The cable of the unit is fixed. You cannot remove it. So every time you want to move the interphone deivce you must unplug speakers, microphone and battery. Also the battery does not have velcro sticker, which means that you attact it your helmet and that's it. The set with microphone and speakers, does not have any battery case to attach to a different helmet. All seems complicated in their new device, no flexibility, no portability. I have the U16 and had Sport Interphone more than 3 years.

    Does anyone know if the U-Com 4 connects to the Cardo?

  • @twowheelpilot

    Biggest question, does it go loud enough? Had four comm units in the past including high end Cardo's. ALL of the at 100 KPH plus are to low. Nothing wrong with my hearing either before someone suggests that.

    Can I connect my Cardo packtalk bold to this unit?

  • @ReferenceFidelityComponents
    @ReferenceFidelityComponents Před 11 měsíci

    Seems like a good no-nonsense option which trades being feature rich for reliability and untility (how many of us use all the available features on a Sena 50s for example?) and it will play nicely and connect with all Sena units too whilst being waterproof. What's not to like? The same cannot be said of Cardo which still can't connect to Sena and vice-versa as the universal pairing options only ever treat the other intercom as a phone input, hence very limited range and poor signal.

    Have a good look at what is supplied and figure out how best to mount the unit and the battery. The unit has multiple mounting methods. But the battery has only one means, a sticky mount, and only one sticky pad is supplied. So don't get the battery mount wrong. I managed to get mine set up and mounted on the Carbon 7 helmet (BMW). I could not find a Sena that would fit. I also have Sena on my other helmets. Otherwise the BMW V3 is the only unit that fits this helmet. But it is not bluetooth or mesh compatible with other systems. So I opted for the U-Comm 16. The kitting and instructions are not as good as Sena. Here's hoping this was a good investment. Does anybody know where the online manual is located for U-Comm 16?

    What model can be disconnected from helmet instalation and removed to be used on another helmet with the same instalation?
    Many riders do have more then 1 helmet. I dont want to buy 2 complete sets becouse one device is on cable and can not be disconnected. I made this mistake with Interphone once. Now I set my eyes on the Interphone Active BT

    Używam u com16. Szybko gubi zasięg nawet na mesh. Zakręt jakieś drzewa i już się nie słyszę z drugim motocyklem. Jak pomiędzy motocyklami jadą dwa samochody tez zrywa połączenia i są trzaski. Jako pojedynczy tylko do muzyki i telefonu ok. W grupie bardzo słabo . Używamy w kaskach Nolan n-105.
