- Here is a first look at the new RDIH Tactical Safety System for Glock thumb safety.
It lets you add a thumb safety by simply replacing the rear plate on your Glock slide. It also allows you to use the included padlock to secure your gun on safe.

I received one of these today and installed it in about two minutes. I had my Glock Ready after watching a couple of videos on CZcams and it works just like they say. I feel a little more comfortable about carrying it now !
Fred Thomas good for you!
I would prefer a safety on the side of the slide on a glock. sorry but to me the trigger safety isn't enough if something catches it right its gonna go bang
Or Glock can actually listen to their customers and give them a manual safety instead of riding their high horse. Colt among many things failed to listen to their customers. Don't be like Colt, Glock.
Glock customers aren't asking for a safety, if they wanted a safety they would just not buy glock and switch to another reputable firearm.
FACTS
@@kalebporter1529wrong, I’m a Glock customer and certainly want the OPTION!
Thanks for the time you took to put together a good presentation and commentary for this product. Innovation is always a welcome thing, and there is a real market for Glock with safeties. This seems to be a nice idea and it seems to function well. I am a little concerned with how secure it is for concealed-carry, and its position (being a little further back) and overall appearance is a little bit awkward ... but perhaps this will open doors to a more improved and attractive product. Hope that helps, thank you again.
I love this idea. I use a Shield for my CCW and will now look at a Glock for my home defense gun now I can get an external safety.
I got one for my G23 and fits fine and works well. Not too crazy about it being plastic, but time will tell. Also, I found that you can press on the rear extended piece with your thumb to put it in safe mode. All in all, I am satisfied.
This product is something I've been looking for. I SBR'd a Glock 22 and have been looking for something that is a manual safety that doesn't permanently change the gun.
It sounds like a great option for SBR setups
Pretty cool for those folks who want a safety as to each their own...Good and informative vid...Good stuff...
Agreed, thanks for watching
Dude that’s honestly awesome
Great review and a good device for hard core Glock fans who want a safety. I would just buy a M&P or an FN FNS with a manual thumb safety.
it's great. I like TSSG. Does it fit into glock 29 or other baby glock ?
Nice info. Any idea if this is available for a glock 42?
I have one and find I can put it back in to safe by pushing on the part in back. Its a but sluggish so I push down and in to safe the gun.
does the safety lever stick out enough to interfere with a holster?
10:08 You don't really need that key to lock down the extractor depressor plunger to keep the extractor from falling out. The extractor will not fall out the slide (no firing pin block will not hold it in because in the process of taking the slide off, the firing pin block will be depressed by the trigger bar), as long as the tip of that plunger rod is still touching the extractor (can see from the right side of the slide). So keep the muzzle pointed downward is all it takes.
This safety basically changes the Glock from tool-free field strip (dry fire, take slide off) and reassemble, to tool-required (need something like that key to depress the firing pin sleeve). For a fighting weapon, being able to field strip and put it back together in the field with no tools is essential. With this installed, without a tool to depress firing pin sleeve you can't take down the Glock for maintenance. That is the biggest difference between this one and other manual safety such as Cominolli, Siderlock, and Glock Gadget (now called Striker Control Device, not really a manual safety but for similar purpose).
Thanks for sharing this.
didnt think i would, but i like this idea. not for me cause i dont like adding extra steps for defensive guns, but for those that do, this is a great drop in option
Like I said definitely not a product for everyone, but if you want a safety this is a decent solution
If you ever trained in the military with the M9, its pretty natural to you. The Sig is nice, but obviously adapted for those with baby deer hands.
Ha love the Bobs T-shirt! Happy 4th of July! 💥😀👍🏼❤️🇺🇸
Thanks for watching
Do you still have any of these for sale? I need two!
Are these no longer being sold. I’ve gone to the website, well I tried but is isn’t there anymore. Thanks
Good video. You mention certain Glocks; mostly 9mm?
The first time that I see one of this I was thinking about that thing is a full auto selector switch.
Do you think it could be done? The metal piece they send with it is oddly shaped like a piece you'd gile down and replace the safety lever with...
I'm enterested
.just bought 1st glock for my wife..so worried shel pull while unholstering
A better solution is the Cominolli Safety. It's been around for years and is in the normal place for a safety.
Where can I purchase the safety mechanism for the Glock 43/43x?
shooters that uses all catridges does not need manual safeties..but i always use half so i need extra safe for my gun..
Can this fit on a p80 g19??
Gen 6's will have Safety on Glocks. Great idea i keep telling people Every gun needs a Safety on it. Every other gun has 1 theoretically why not the best gun?
Mounting on gen.5 will require filing down the plastic piece of the frame.
can you send me a link for ha Glock extra safety. ? thumb lGcock
I would be very interested in putting one of these on a Glock that's kept bedside. I'm a big proponent of safeties on a beside pistol (mine's an HK USP40, kept chambered, hammer down, safety on) because you could be reaching for it in the dark and still a little loopy from being suddenly awoken.
That is a decent case for a manual safety. I know I always keep my guns in a holster even in a nightstand drawer for the same reason. It's too easy to fumble your finger in the triggerguard while feeling around for the gun in the dark while startled or groggy.
Yeah, I'm going to be looking into bedside holsters soon as well.
HK USP40, chambered, hammer down, safety on... worked when it needed to, didn't forget to flip the safety off in a sleepy stupor, no matter what those gun shop owners and COD operators tell you. Avoiding a ND in reality is at least as important as being ready quickly, and it proved no disadvantage at all. Many also say our 40s need traded in for 9mms without safeties, because FBI and high speed low drag, and such. Stick to your guns, literally in this case, and lock it up when you are away to deny a criminal the chance to steal and misuse it. You have a reliable 'partner' there.
What website did you find this?
Hey bro that link dosent work
This is really cool. I might actually get one. Im just worried the cops might think you have an Auto Switch on your gun.
I noticed that this safety limits you to firing only two rounds at a time and makes one look at the camera after each sequence. Is there a way to switch those two features off?
Sorry bud, I'm afraid that's a combo feature that is permanently welded into the "ON" position.
I need to get a pair for my Glock’s
Are these still available?
Where can I find this?
Awesome.
Had can I get one of these
i want to get this for my glock
Wow my gad , iam lover this gan
The best gan in the all 🔫 gan
Excellent!!! Just what I've been searching for in a firearm. Teaching someone to not accidentally pull the trigger is like teaching them not to accidentally drop or bump it either. Accidents happen, and it takes a split second to deactivate this safety, it can be trained into memory, its a great idea since Glocks are only as safe as gravity is involved. Even heavily trained people have accidents with pulling the trigger.
@A Black Guy Invented The Lightbulb! Dont be silly, if youre disengaging the safety, you are preparing to face your target. Without a safety, accident can happen just acquiring grip on the gun, perhaps while startled, groggy, disoriented.
@A Black Guy Invented The Lightbulb! Yet all US combat handguns have had safeties
GLock 43?
I only found out about this was from this video
What material is it made of? Metal? Plastic?
I want to know this also... If plastic - meh...
Plastic
Might by a Glock now, like it. Looks cool to.
Are you really getting good hits with the finger infront of the triggerguard?
interesting. not something i would buy, but kinda cool that things like this r out there for people that want them.
Like I said definitely not a product for everyone, but if you want a safety this is a decent solution
I have that shirt.
Your link doesn't work.
How much dollars 💵?????
HI!.
MY NAME IS RASAKI SIBOSTON WALLACE I HAD THE SAME IDEA LAST YEAR DECEMBER 2021 AS AN ACCESSORY AND TO REMOVE THE BACKPLATE FOR GLOCKS AND OTHER GUNS WITHOUT A SAFETY.
WITH A SAFETY OR WITH A SAFETY AND HAMMER.
I HAD WRITTEN MR. ANDREW CERESNEY AN ATTORNEY AT DEBEVOISE AND PLIMPTON LAW FIRM ABOUT THE CONCEPT FOR THE ATTACHED BACKPLATE SAFETY/ SAFETY WITH HAMMER.
THANK YOU.
The kid who's uncle worked at Nintendo... I knew one of those...
The Cominolli safety does not void Glock warranty. All other safeties remain. You can even rack the slide with the safety on. And takedown is not changed either. BS to have to take that one down that way.
I don't want to have bad info so I checked the cominolli website.
The following is directly quoted from their FAQ and implies that Glock won't warranty guns that have been converted. I have heard that Glock will replace a frame for ~$165 if you were to ever need a new frame out of warranty.
Will installing an MSK void my GLOCK® warranty?
Please review the GLOCK® warranty on their website.
GLOCK® is a good company, and like us, they stand
behind their product. That being said, they are not going to cover
anything to do with the Cominolli MSK (or any other aftermarket part for
that matter).
Wow. Several years ago when I first heard of Cominolli they were saying it would not void the warranty. So they have changed now. I had not seen that. Glock's warranty is just for 12 months anyway. Mine was a year old before I installed the Cominolli. I like it and it is less intrusive than hanging that one on the back. It still is a better choice. Take down is the same and no risk of losing parts. So, starting to doubt myself I started to look on line and found literally dozens of sites that said the Cominolli safety did NOT void the Glock warranty. I even heard that from Massad Ayoob, Glock Talk and other reviewers. So I wouldn't worry about it anyway. People change springs, triggers, sights, internal parts, barrels, even frames. Sand finger grooves, backstraps, and trigger guards. Glocks are probably the most customized guns ever made.
That safety looks like itll make the atf shoot my dog
You think this could actually be converted? I was curious if the piece sticking out was too short or not
@@austinporter4285 lol nah it doesn’t look like the illegal one on the inside of the slide it just looks a little too close for comfort for police that might see it
You could definitely scam someone that thinks thats what their buying with one tho
You could definitely scam someone that thinks thats what their buying with one tho
@@murderlesson101 tbh i bet i could take the entire lever mechanism apart and use a steel sear in place of the plastic safety thing... i find it VERY odd that they include a perfectly sized piece of steel thats looks like a sear but they just put it in the back of the slide for literally NO reason. They say its to release tension? After the slide plate is off WITHOUT the spring flying around then theres no more tension... just a bit confusing. I might have to pick one up lol, its a bit on the nose for someone like me that is good at taking this stuff apart and reassembling it as well.
Just buy a berreta for a safety
Everone has kids that are getting older and smarter by the second what make people possibly think this isn’t something they would need i think any smart person would get one of these
Listen, Skippy: i don't have all this time you are making me sit through. JUST SHOW ME THE GDDAMMNED SAFETY AWREADY!!!!!
not haveing a manual safety isnt glocks bigest problem
im learning. what is the biggest problem?
Feels a bit like buying an iPhone cause you wanna be seen as cool - and then flashing it with Android cause you want to do real work with it. I'd rather just buy a Smith with a frame safety and be done with it.
You'd save more money that route, as well.
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing! There are other reliable striker fired options that come with safeties. Canik makes an awesome alternative for a fraction of the cost.
The entire point of a Glock was to eliminate external safeties.
Actually the entire point was to create a cheap reliable gun by creating one with the fewest amount of (moving) parts possible. Eliminating the safety was one way of doing that. After Glock, everyone else jumped on board.
Agreed
Ha Gay jk
( should of been on The UD Military pistol Contract with FS)
Like I said definitely not a product for everyone, but if you want a safety this is a decent solution
damn man you lost alot of weight. 👍
Thanks for watching
I'm a little late to the party, but do you believe safeties belong on a pistol? It's a heated debate for most.
People forget that the safety for all firearms is between your ears,it's called your brain and training. 👌🇺🇸🇺🇸
Good job showing us the wrong side of the gun the entire video
What about kids
I would rather trust trigger discipline and a retention holster than add one more thing to worry about in a stress fire situation...
The only safety ya need with a glock is finger discipline.
Glocks aren’t suppose have safeties! That’s like putting training wheels on a Harley
Looks ugly as sin, but a very interesting product.
I’d rather have a auto sear on my shit then that
glock want no safety glock need no safety lol
Like I said definitely not a product for everyone, but if you want a safety this is a decent solution
I
Like putting mud tires on a Turing car and saying it's a rally car now. Close but pointless!!
Called keep your booger hook off the bang switch till you intend to shoot.
It's a bit more like putting an extra switch to start the car. Not sure what tires would have to do with it.
Like I said definitely not a product for everyone, but if you want a safety this is a decent solution
Please, that "booger hook" crap is so old and overused by know nothings it's boring. Safety is not for when the gun is about to be fired, it's for when other things get in the way, or unqualified people.
dbpheds: Hey brainwashed, I don't need it, it's morons like you who really think it is a safety. It's not fingers on triggers that is the problem. It's fools who think the gun cannot be fired without pressing the "safety" which is nothing more than a drop safety in case it is dropped on the BUTT. Somehow, know nothings like you started calling it a safety with your stupid "boogger hook crap". And even worse, that it is the same as a
revolver. Proves you know nothing about guns. I have been shooting for 60 years, 30 years LEO, firearms instructor. I own Glocks. I am just not stupid enough to believe they are real safe in the hands of people like you.
Ah another dumbass.
OK. I QUIT, THUBS DOWN, ANDS DO NOT SUGGEST THIS CHANNEL IN THE FUTURE.
