Been coming back to this one for years now. Magic
I really love this. It's melancholic but so warm and calming.
Just lovely.
Ffarwel i Aberystwyth,
Ffarwel i ben Maes Glas,
Ffarwel i dŵr y Castell,
A hefyd Morfa Glas,
Ffarwel i Ben y Parce,
Ffarwel i Figure Four,
Ffarwel i’r ferch fach lana’
Erioed bu’n agor dor.
Ffarwel fo i Lanrhystud
Lle bum i lawer gwaith
Yn caru’n ôl fy ffansi,
Ond ofer bu y gwaith.
Fe fues i’n ei charu
Am bedwar mis ar ddeg.
Cawn weithiau dywydd garw,
Pryd arall dywydd teg.
Ac weithiau cawn hi’n fodlon
I wrando’m cwyn a’m cri,
Ond rhodd ei llaw i arall
A’m calon dorrodd hi.
Absolutely gorgeous
So beautiful
Fuck. That was. Wow. Diolch yn fawr iawn.

Very talented man. Though I don't speak Welsh I grew up in Welshpool. Wish I could get the lyrics still the melody and voice communicate.

@@joaogabrielaguiar3761 that'd be amazing if you want to tab it. I'll happily make a video explaining. Ideally it would be good to make a proper tutorial video - do you have any video skills?
@@cynefinmusic I do, in fact! I'd be thrilled to help you! If you want, I can send you my email and we can work something out. As an ethnomusicologist it's amazing to see projects such as yours -- cultural preservation at its finest. I've been listening to your recordings since 2018, if I recall correctly, and it sparked my interest in the Welsh language, although I'm far from a decent speaker.
@@joaogabrielaguiar3761 amazing, yes! please do email me. I'd rather not post it on here but if you go to cynefimusic.wales and use the contact form on there I should pick it up. Really glad you're appreciating the project :)
