    Guatemala 🇬🇹 is a MUST IF you want to visit a beautiful country with more than 3000 years of history, culture, traditions and gastronomy. And their people will make you feel like you're one of them. They're super attentive, caring and warm.

    Guatemala is absolutely underrated! We loved it! And 7 days is not nearly enough time to explore this amazing country. You missed out on an epic experience by not hiking the Acatenango volcano. Sleeping on the volcano and watching Fuego erupt during the night is something we will never forget. If you plan to go back to Antigua, just have it in mind :) Also, the northern part of Guatemala with Tikal is also very cool to experience. We went there during the pandemic and had the place almost to ourselves. Restrictions are in place, but they are fully acceptable we think.

    • @ChrisandKen
      @ChrisandKen Před 3 lety +2

      @Barbara Konchinski We won't lie, its a tough hike for sure! But if you are acclimated to the heights most people should be able to do it. And the reward for getting up there is epic!

      @@suciomicerable If you drop over to our channel, we actually have a pretty detailed episode on our hike up the Acatenango. We went with a tour operator and they provided all the equipment needed. We each had to carry a small part of a tent, but 3 people slept in each tent. The hike began in the morning and we reached 'base camp' in the afternoon. There was good time to relax a bit before sunset. Have a great trip, we hope the weather is with you! :)

      So true. Is so rich and beautiful the United Kingdom of Guatemala established since 1609 and that extends from El Soconusco (today Chiapas) to part of Panama. Guatemala is 12th producer of silver in the world and 20th producer of gold besides having massive reserves of nickel, jade and so many other natural resources too bad for almost a century big foreign multinational corporations have been taking almost everything for more than a century.
