him cutting the supercharger team makes no sense, especially since the Tesla charger was recently adopted as a standard for US EV's. if anything, that is the one department he should have kept
The onyl reason Tesla exists to the extent that is does is due to government subsidization of the EV industry. We are the ones paying for all of this garbage when most power grids still rely heavily on fossil fuels anyways.
Also because admittedly, Tesla makes great cars. It’s consistently the highest selling vehicle globally, and customer satisfaction statistics are positive.
That's a brilliant plan all the EV producers start building same stations like Tesla's and EV vehicles will be even more worth buying. That will make EVs even more common.
My dad used to drive a model 3. He sold it after 4 years, not even long enough to offset the carbon footprint of an EV, which is 10 years. He now drives a Ford F-150.
He actually planned to cut a lot of employees from the supercharging division but the manager didn't want let go so many people. In his infinite wisdom he decided to fire the entire division.
I worked for a company who had managers left right and center and then when you finally thought you reached the too there were VP os this VP of that then a manager of VP’s its crazy.
crazy thing to do after it is made the North American charging standard, in a couple of years it will probably be more profitable to have the charger than produce the cars
I don’t understand how this destroys the Tesla supercharging network. It is still there. It continues to work. It just supports fewer dedicated roles for executives. How many should it support? Also other companies “vowing to make their cars compatible” with Tesla’s network? They’re already compatible. They just haven’t been permitted to use it. For some time now, non Tesla drivers have been able to download the Tesla app and enable access for their vehicles to use select Tesla chargers on a pay as you go basis. How is this bad for Tesla?
Remember guys, this is why you don’t give your employer a 2 weeks unless you want to end on good terms for returning to them. They will not hesitate to fire you and will not give you a notice l
FSD and Optimus are both vaporware lol. Mercedes level 3 auto pilot already beat Tesla's "FSD" to the punch in roll out. The Optimus robot is a joke. It can barely walk 😂
@@Tuomarus Oh but the fact that new car model is going to be more affordable rising the amount of sales and that he critizises FSD withouth having used v12
That isn't their major advantage, their advantage, hands down, is their battery production facility. Sure the TSCN is a pro, but they also aren't actually going anywhere, and I'd imagine that that depth will be integrated into another area of the business rather than be left to fall by the wayside.
To be fair, these tech companies have very large ammounts of employees that are a waste of money. So firing 20% likely is hardly damaging. Also, EV owners around the world have problems. As a lot of countries (like the Netherlands) are lowering the subsidies and benefits (or outright removing them). Making them more expensive then regular cars.
Employees tend to generate way more revenue than they cost, I will never get why corporations use layoffs when they have been mathematically proven to not save you money.
They got rid of their supercharger team because they opened them up to the public and the megachargers are what theyll be focusing on in the future. The team was no longer needed. Little bit of research other than news headlines will show you this.
No, you’re missing the point… everyone agreed to use the Tesla network, and now they’ll have to help support financially, or destroy themselves. He didn’t do it the second the announced.. they’ve already been and have been before the announcements updating production lines and those employees wil find good homes at ford and whatnot. My bigger concern, as quarter to quarter squeezing isn’t really primary concern in life, is that these are indications of a larger failure in some system we aren’t seeing yet… But these kinds of things happen in other industries all the time, and maybe he cuts them in for a slice or likely squeezes them to whatever deal he signed with all those handy design and utility patents for said network… it will be interesting to see.
what are we talking about the same elon here hes not satisfied with profitable he wants all the money in the world he probably gonna slow it down till he can sell it.
He got rid of the entire team. There’s already stories out out their of super chargers that were being built and now all progress has stopped. Of course he’s not getting rid of chargers, he’s completely stopping the expansion of the network which is what give Tesla the competitive advantage
Not at all. The fed favors the big 3 and forced tesla to ppen up superchargers for everyone else. In response, elon fired the group in charge of that mandated integration. Elon is a genius.
Owners are pissed that tesla isn't paying rent for the chargers. They will gladly look the other way when when their buddies want to strip them for copper.
These workers should upload these driving software to public used. For all vehicle's that would be amazing. Let Tesla filed for bankruptcy in the future if he removed everyone including the designer's from engineers who made his dream car to reality.
It's amazing how the only way to bring down Elon is to just let him do it himself. The guy has taken the last 10 years to slowly drag his name and then every company he owns through the mud
It wasn’t the entire department. All the techs and such are still there. They have to operate. It’s not like they are removing them. Just slowing down deployment.
People know this is wrong yet don't connect it to capitalism. This is literally the inherent mechanics of capitalism that no reforma can ever fix totally

Fremont A-Shift production was shut down for M3, glad im in inventory now 💀
I worked for a company who had managers left right and center and then when you finally thought you reached the too there were VP os this VP of that then a manager of VP’s its crazy.
Elon Musk is improving the industry by handing hundreds of experienced workers to the competition.
Elon: "stumb toe"
Also Elon: "buy company who made table and fire them"
What i hate more than elon? People that praised him and are now like "Elon? Noo i never liked him. I did not fall for his traps!".
Yeah, if you really want your criticisms to sting, it hurts WAY worse when the person booing you admits that "you were my hero" or something like that
crazy thing to do after it is made the North American charging standard, in a couple of years it will probably be more profitable to have the charger than produce the cars
😂😂 this the funniest shit I've seen all day
He is starting to treat Tesla like twitter…
Put this exact script in a cyberpunk dystopia with some name changes and it wouldn't feel out of place
Elon has never let us down has to be tongue in cheek.
Elon is quickly switching to FSD, new car models and Optimus Robot which are gonna be the heavy duty money makers.
@@niloc1229 XD you really haven't done your research have you oh and FYI Boston dynamics robots and Optimus bot have completely differeny functions 🤣
FSD and Optimus are both vaporware lol. Mercedes level 3 auto pilot already beat Tesla's "FSD" to the punch in roll out. The Optimus robot is a joke. It can barely walk 😂
@@emerald9947 What have they not done their research about? Funny how you didn't give a single example.
The cars not working in winter weather is going to eliminate a huge customer base.
Holy no. Hes doing the everyone adapting to us, we can slow down now approach to the supercharger
All those supergeniuses can never grasp keeping a company smaller and that profits can't grow forever
Employees tend to generate way more revenue than they cost, I will never get why corporations use layoffs when they have been mathematically proven to not save you money.
You should talk about the upcoming TSLA shareholder vote. And how people are voting "No" to Elon's 56B payday
Elon is just Denholm. Fire floor 4, but do it as a team!
They are starting to switch to only parts and charging stations
They got rid of their supercharger team because they opened them up to the public and the megachargers are what theyll be focusing on in the future. The team was no longer needed. Little bit of research other than news headlines will show you this.
maybe there departments were not making any headway and needed new workers to hopefully make progress.
No, you’re missing the point… everyone agreed to use the Tesla network, and now they’ll have to help support financially, or destroy themselves. He didn’t do it the second the announced.. they’ve already been and have been before the announcements updating production lines and those employees wil find good homes at ford and whatnot.
My bigger concern, as quarter to quarter squeezing isn’t really primary concern in life, is that these are indications of a larger failure in some system we aren’t seeing yet…
But these kinds of things happen in other industries all the time, and maybe he cuts them in for a slice or likely squeezes them to whatever deal he signed with all those handy design and utility patents for said network… it will be interesting to see.
He's not getting rid of the superchargers, he's just slowing down its expansion as there are say enough superchargers already to make it profitable
There’s still a ton of room for growth. Seems like an opportunity for someone else to build a network of compatible chargers and eat his lunch.
what are we talking about the same elon here hes not satisfied with profitable he wants all the money in the world he probably gonna slow it down till he can sell it.
"He's never let us down before" he lied as easily as he breathed
Elons an Agent of chaos😮
The other USA car makers are failing at making electric cars so Tesla doesn't need to make chargers for them.
Elons like: "Twitter is mine and now destroyed. Tesla shall soon fallow in its path, and then, The world!"
Make no mistake Elon knows what he’s doing. Did the same thing with star link. Super chargers are going to boom here soon.
Owners are pissed that tesla isn't paying rent for the chargers.
They will gladly look the other way when when their buddies want to strip them for copper.
I'm waiting for him to trash spaceX at this point.
Thanks Elon for ensuring the continuation of fossil fuel cars for another generation Lol
And so it begins….
Funny thing is , they're still making 10's of millions of profit.
Apparently Elon never watched _The Fifth Element_ all the way to the end to see how his hero Zorg made out...
It wasn’t the entire department. All the techs and such are still there. They have to operate. It’s not like they are removing them. Just slowing down deployment.
People know this is wrong yet don't connect it to capitalism. This is literally the inherent mechanics of capitalism that no reforma can ever fix totally
