  • How to build a boat motor stand. Performing your own maintenance can save a lot of money and time. This video shows you the materials I used to build a very strong and sturdy stand to hold my motor while having some fiberglass repair completed on my boat.

    I would really like to see how you attached the motor to this stand without drilling through the stand itself. What did you use to secure the motor to the stand wood?

    • @MoneyBass
      @MoneyBass  Před 9 měsíci

      The weight of the motor secures it in place.

    • @MoneyBass
      @MoneyBass  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks. I used a tool specifically made to lift motors. I'm not sure of the name of it.

    I have a question about the angle cuts on this boat motor stand, I got everything cut accept the 42” boards and what the angles are

    • @MoneyBass
      @MoneyBass  Před 2 lety

      Thanks for watching the video. I don't know the angle. I held the board next to the location they were going, traced it with a pencil then made the cut. I hope that helps.

    • @MoneyBass
      @MoneyBass  Před 3 lety

      Thanks for watching. I built it specifically for the motor I had at that time. I believe it was a 20" shaft.

    I'm curious why no one just uses Robertson head screws? They are far superior to Phillips, and cheap as dirt.

    I need to make one next week ....what was your total cost for this project?

    • @troyraxsdale3618
      @troyraxsdale3618 Před 6 lety

      Cost me $135 with tax for all the materials at The Home Depot. You can get the casters much cheaper at Harbor Freight if you use your 20% coupon when they are on sale.
