It's been more than 7 months since October...there's no way the bodies haven't decomposed to the point of being unrecognizable by now. Unless the resistance has morgue freezers lying around, which I'm guessing is pretty unlikely. So, I'd say at least the woman whose family made a statement was in a freezer in an Israeli military facility this whole time.
I had that thought as well, as well as the fact that they already had over 200 living captives, not including the ones killed by the Hannibal directive being executed, so I don't see why they would feel the need to haul a few dead bodies along with them. I'm beginning to think Netanyahu is the moderate. I've heard the stories about Gantz wanting to do a full-scale attack on Iran. I've heard the stories about Netanyahu's absolute refusal to invade Lebanon even as some of his most vocal allies demand it. What's shocking to me at this point though, seven months into what will be studied for generations as one of the greatest military debacles and most accelerated acts of national suicide ever, is the unwillingness or inability of the IDF to impose discipline of any kind on its soldiers. Israeli soldier gives classified information in the form of the location of every air-defense battery in the country to an Iranian agent, he gets 10-days in the brig. Israeli soldier kills international aid workers, gets fired. Israeli soldier shoots Israeli hostage, they investigate, but no consequences apparently. Israeli soldier promises a coup, is insubordinate to the highest military official in the country and professes a desire to slaughter everyone in Gaza and they apparently had a command meeting. This kind of institutional breakdown is endemic of organizations, businesses and governments on the verge of collapse.
Ilan Pappé mentioned a few weeks ago that the October 7 attacks may have slowed down the fissures in Israeli Jewish society, already seething from the judicial crisis and political crisis.
It certainly seems plausible that the resistance fed the info to carry out the ambush, I’d say based on my gut I’d agree with that. Israel will likely downplay or just flat out ignore that it even happened. Great video as always, I really enjoy your honest commentary on the resistance and generally. Thank you!
That is an interesting theory about Hamas feeding them the info, it sounds quite possible to me. It;s hard to know what Israel will do now because what else could they do that they haven't already?
Thank you for posting. When the news broke, I was hoping you would post . "Complex operation" is the new euphemism...This is further evidence of what you've been saying all along: this will be decided on the battlefield(s). Interesting that Greece is the "shipping superpower of the world." It is ironic that Yair Lapid who has never served in the IDF (ruler's privilege) and is safely ensconced in some faraway Miami condo, can herald an insurrectionary coup. This is where I think Abu Ubeida's announcement of soldiers captured on the battlefield could work to erode IDF soldier morale and discipline--because now everyone knows if they did not know before (mass Hannibal directive on October 7 and killing of three captives waving white cloths) that the government does not care about them --only the leaders' own political survival. (Netanyahu seems to be operating on Louis XIV absolutist logic of "I am the state.") My worry is that a demoralized Israeli government will only take out its losses on innocent civilians by scaling up operations. ONE QUESTION on the RAISI death... Have you seen the video circulating INSIDE THE HELICOPTER of Raisi prior to take-off? TRT published it as a short: czcams.com/users/shorts218plGladOU?si=1j4f5qp-3IrehfFG I don't know how far Azerbaijan is from Tehran but it does not seem like bad weather on take-off (why would someone film inside the aircraft with a clear view of the window?), plus the other two helicopters landed safely. I also saw an interview on Iranian TV of one of the other passengers in the other helicopters talking about dodging a mysterious "cloud." If Raisi was taken out as "payback," none of the players will be able to publicly acknowledge it without causing a major conflagration. So we are back to a shadow war. Next move? Also what are these "stages" that the resistance keeps talking about in their communiqués? Yemen says we are on "stage 4"???
