Wonderful footage, thank you. The tecnical level was awesome. Puskas, Bozsik, Hidegkuti, Kocsis, Czibor...what a class. Czibor the first wing of the history to change side during the attack. Hidegkuti genius, creating the game and scoring at the same time. And Puskas....well, only a word: Puskas.

That was not offside at 10:43. What a terrible decision.
10.43 offside! Literally the 2nd worst decision I’ve ever seen to disallow a goal for offside, after Nicola Berti getting scrubbed in 3rd place match in 1990.
What an amazing team The Mighty Magyars were . Possibly the greatest international team ever. This match is England’s heaviest home defeat ever and England’s heaviest away defeat 7-1 followed in the return match in Budapest 6 months later . I simply love watching this team and have read many books about them. I know Hungarians are very proud of this team and quite rightly so as they were magnificent

It's amazing to me how quickly they move on:
- a goal is scored; 20 seconds later everyone is on their half of the pitch, and the game is resumed
- penalty was given; 15 seconds later it was in the back of the net
- 42:28 the ref blows for halftime, in the middle of the attack (there are videos that add a clock, and you can see that it's on 45.00 exactly)

that's a beautiful play, and you can clearly appreciate how Higdekuti hurt England team playing as a false 9... England's number 4 followed him very far from the box area and then between Higdekuti and Puskas fooled him; Higdekuti occupying that space number 4 left behind him is pure beauty

What a fantastic match! Pure velocity, technical, awesome skills from both sides mainly of Hungry team that was for sure the game of the century despite the referee tried clearly to be a robber in favor of home team. The final score could be easily Hungry 10-3.

This team showed a lot of character and they came up with so many things which we can see been used in some of the world's best Football Academies I always say that when you have teams who have stayed on top for many perfecting they're techniques it shows gutspa

Why would you want to play with a heavier ball? Balls being lighter is an advancement in technology
this a historical match, they had to play with harder balls, I didn't say heavier balls. the ball explains the kind of strategy. some people think that the conditions are similar in all the decades.

@@tl8211 yep, 7-11 in particular. Hidegkuti wore No. 9, but didn't play as true 9 (static centre forward in WM) that caught England (and many) off guard
