- LOT Polish Airlines trip report from Vienna to Warsaw, onboard one of the LOT Embraer E195, on an amazing winter early-morning.
A great trip with LOT Polish Airlines from Vienna to Warsaw on one of the oldest Embraer E195 that LOT operates from its base in Warsaw Chopin airport.
The flight was almost empty so we could enjoy with a huge silence the superb sunrise during all the flight. The views of Vienna and Bratislava after takeoff and the dense clouds during the approach to Warsaw made this flight unforgettable.

Thanks for another great Trip Report! I flown with LOT 3 times, but only once on the E-Jet. It was SP-LNC from KTW - WAW. The others were a connecting flight on the DH8-400 going KTW-WAW-GDN. All flights were great, with a basic inflight service. LOT is really good value for money. The connecting flights I did cost less than €40
For those prices, LOT tickets are really good. The problem comes when they charge 150-200 for a one way ticket inside Europe... 😐
Wien Schwechat is my favorite airport, definitely one of the best airport in Europe
I fly a lot to/from it. Very easy to use and nice :)

In my opinion, early-morning flights are usually the best ones: amazing views with great silence on the cabin (as almost all passengers are sleeping). Just perfect combination :)

Great report! Schwechat T3 is definitely amazing. I also enjoyed the stunning sunrise out of the window view. I never flew with LOT but it looks like providing the pax a very good service like the most of Star Alliance AL. Greetings from Italy

Un vídeo cortito pero bien aprovechado con esas vistas de Viena , el Danubio y sobre todo de la ciudad de Bratislava han sido bastante bonitas se ha podido por lo menos verlo al contrario que el área de Varsovia que estaba totalmente cubierto de nube. Un cordial saludo

I think it's one of the cons of this terminal in Vienna: not only in the early-morning but also during the day, there are not enough restaurant variety. I miss some fast-food option, for example, that's is only available on the land-side, next to the exit.

@@OnBoardHD Yeah, i think my love for LOT comes from my love to poland, most polish people, polish culture, etc. So i might be a bit biased. But however, compared to Lufthansa, Ryanair and Wizz (my 3 options from close airports (I live close to frankfurt, so FRA, STR, DTM, CGN, etc)) going to WAW I like them a lot(heh.. xD)! And they have the best pep fares compared to other airlines lol! For short/medium range I love lot. Especially since I feel Lufthansa is trying so bad to go "premium" on long distance that the short/medium falls off a bit.. older planes, less service..
But im so happy you did a new video with lot. I wanted it for so long.

Another great report! I've flown LOT quite a few times but never on their Embraers, they don't send them to LHR anymore unfortunately. I've been on their 737-800s and their MAX, and to be honest the E195 in this video looks more comfortable and modern than the B737-800s LOT have, anyway I love the morning flights because the sunrise just makes your day, looking at it from 35,000ft :)

I would love to have flown on their MAX when they were flying... I was about to book one flight from Heathrow when they were grounded. However, it looks like they could be flying again really soon, as Boeing is gonna finish the certification with the FAA in July.
Early-morning flights are the best in my opinion: amazing sunrise views and, usually, complete silence on the cabin, as almost everybody is sleeping :)

Very steep climb until acceleration altitude! I know just 15 degrees climb but it looked steeper 😂😂 Nice video thanks
Maybe because the weight was really low due to almost no passengers onboard...
I don't know on the E195, but on the B737 up to 20º pitch-up is acceptable.
@@OnBoardHD that was also my thinking. I don't know a lot about the embraer but I think on low weight he is also able to do a 20 degree climb. Is the embraer equipment with fly by wire? I dont think so...
I don't have any clue about that haha I really don't know anything about Embraers. 😅

En Europa varias aerolíneas están retirándolos, como por ejemplo Air Baltic o la propia Austrian, pues quieren homogeneizar flota para reducir costes de mantenimiento y de personal. Yo he volado alguna vez en ellos y la verdad es que es toda una experiencia el llevar la hélice al lado de la ventanilla jaja

Yo el primer avión que me subí en mi vida fue un DC-6B de Lan Chile, tenía 4 motores a hélices y cuando comenzaban a partir los motores se paraba un tipo al lado con un gran extintor jajajaja. Ladeco, la otra línea aérea importante también los tenía, además que tenían los DC-3, en esos no volé nunca.Después Lan compró los Avro HS-748 (En uno de esos conocí a alguien de la tripulación, pero esa es una historia de amor, no de aviación jajajaja) con un motor a hélice a cada lado, eran para 44 pasajeros, De ahí pasamos a la era del jet y volé en los caravelle de Lan. También tuve la suerte de volar en ellos. Después volé en en un Fokker 27 de una línea aérea que se llamaba Aeronor, se le cayeron los tres aviones que tenía o por lo menos dos. Bueno, no en vano tengo 63 años y el próximo mes cumplo 64. Que lástima no poder mandarte fotos de esos aviones. Un abrazo desde Santiago de Chile, al otro lado del charco y la cordillera

Me habría encantado probar también los Caravelle... creo que nunca llegué a verlos... aunque si en fotos, desde luego.
Los primeros aviones de los que tengo recuerdos son los B727 de Iberia y los 737 de Air Europa, junto con los primeros MD80.

@@OnBoardHD Huuuy, era un espectáculo, llegaba el avión y toda la gente estaba en la terraza del aeropuerto mirando la bajada o subida de los pasajeros (no cualquiera viajaba en avión, eran todos elegantes) se abría la puerta del avión, aparecía la azafata (Así se le decía en aquella época) y acercaban la escalerilla y bajaban los pasajeros. De verdad era mucho glamour. Ciampino mirado desde afuera por el lado de los aviones, es un aeropuerto típico de esa época. Me recordó mucho Los Cerrillos, ese era el aeropuerto que había aquí en Santiago por aquel entonces. Linda época. Un abrazo, Lucas, desde Chile de este viejo de los vuelos de los años 60 jeje.

Ahora, por suerte para los pasajeros, por desgracia para los nostálgicos, la aviación se ha extendido a todos. Casi cualquiera puede comprar un billete de avión hoy en día. Lo cual creo que es lo más justo.

The only thing that I don't like is that, usually, they have almost all the windows misaligned. Apart from that, marvellous plane :)
Agreed. When I used to fly with BA regularly I made sure I pre-allocated seats with aligned windows. 😂
There are not so many... usually 80-90% of the seats are not aligned 😅😅

There no obstacles at the end of any runway that makes a commercial plane need to climb at Vx ;)
The only reason for a slightly higher rate of climb was that the weight of the plane was really low due to almost no passengers on board. :)

Maybe the flight to Vienna was fully booked. Also the Crew maybe Had to rest in Vienna, so this flight was a inportant flight even with less passengers.
That wasn't my question. Even if the flight to Vienna last night was full, it doesn't have anything to do with the fact that we were like 10 passengers on board... =/

However, analytics say that since I put music at the beginning of the video, people watch the videos a lot more. Music has improved the video watching a lot.
Also, I think is important that I don't delete the background sound, music is mixed with the "airport sounds" :)

Por ahora, he tomado la decisión de estas cuestiones técnicas incluirlas en estos vídeos: introducirlas durante el rodaje y explicarlas en crucero. El tema de flaps & slats lo comentaré pronto en un vídeo.

Hola. Tengo una pregunta. ¿Los pasajeros de vuelos entre los países europeos pueden usar tienda duty free? :D
Por supuesto que sí. No obstante, los pasajeros que no vuelan fuera del espacio Europeo pagan impuestos como si fuese una tienda normal. Por eso te piden el billete cuando vas a pagar, para saber si vuelas dentro de Europa o te vas, en cuyo caso no pagas IVA (VAT).

En teoría pagas el IVA del país de destino en la aduana.
Lo cierto es que si lo que compras tiene un valor relativamente bajo... bueno... la mayoría de la gente no lo declara... aunque lo suyo sería hacerlo 😅
@@OnBoardHD Por ejemplo) Supón que yo viajara desde Madrid vía Amsterdam hasta Seúl. Al pagar en tienda duty free en el aeropuerto de Madrid, si muestro tarjeta de embarque de vuelo AMS-ICN, entonces me eximen IVA.
@@kihwankim6130 Pues mira, ahí sí que no lo tengo del todo claro. No por el hecho en sí, pues está claro que no tienes que pagar IVA, sino por la "burocracia" del proceso. Yo creo que sí, pero tienes que decirles que estás en tránsito en Amsterdam y que realmente te vas a Seoul.
Lo que está clarísimo es que cualquier cosa que compres en Amsterdam no llevará el IVA de Holanda.
