  • Here are some things to check if your gas grill burner is not getting hot enough to cook your food or the burner is not coming on at all. Check the propane tank make sure that it is not empty. If you are using natural gas check your supply line if safe to do so.
Check the burners for blockages. Turn off the gas and disconnect the fuel line, check the burners for blockages such as rust, grease, carbon, mud daubers and rodent nest that might be blocking the burner openings.
Clean the the burner tubes with a wire brush. Make sure the the burner tubes are still in-line with the burner valves.
Gas regulator if you are not getting any flame from the burner your regulator may be faulty not allowing any gas to flow through it.
Check the ignition system. if you have a single spark ignition system you will get a single spark every time that you push the button. This system is usually found in older models and the cheaper grills. If you have the electronic style
ignition system it is usually a push button system that is a continuous spark to ignite the flame listen for the continual clatter of the ignition system some times this ignition system is built into knob and sparks the flame while turning the gas knob on. If you cannot hear the clatter it may be as simple as replacing the battery. This is only a couple of examples there are several igniters on the market.
If you are not comfortable with these checks please hire a professional grill tech or call customer service for your grill.
