Gli spagnoli e gli italiani siamo fortunati di condividere la stessa radice delle nostre lingue. Credo, veramente, che entrambe lingue sono bellissime.

In Italy there is probably even more shame in drinking cappuccino after lunch than alcohol before it

Equal amounts of eggs, milk, and flour.. all room temperature, mix all together and let rest for 20 minutes, salt pepper qb... heat a muffin pan or an oven proof frying pan with oil or fat(not olive oil because the smoke point is too low) in a 220c oven. Once the pan starts smoking, take out of oven. add batter... put into oven on middle rack and leave for 20 minutes... DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR. After 20 minutes voila Yorkshire pudding! Easy peasy! Enjoy!

Great vlog! Very entertaining! I loved seeing Matteo trying to justify to himself the consumption of a cappuccino after midday! I also loved that - as a Neapolitan - he was puzzled (and perhaps also slightly offended) by the strange association of Puglia with pizzas! I can only think that it is because many pugliesi run restaurants in the UK and want to offer a wide variety of Italian dishes, including pizza. Parsnip = la pastinaca, but most of my Italian friends have only learned the Italian word for this after discovering this wonderful vegetable in a Sunday roast in the UK! Keep up the good work and great vlogs!

Siamo tornati (io e mia moglie) due settimane fa negli USA. A Londra abbiamo scoperto il nostro ristorante italiano preferito. Sartori, su la Piccadilly line, scendi a Leicester, e si trova a venti metri affianco a The Porcupine. Come fossimo in Italia!

Ottimo vlog perché siete riusciti a mettere a confronto qualche tradizione culinaria inglese con quella italiana. Altri blog sul ruolo degli italiani qui potrebbero trattare della generosità (per esempio le migliori mense per i senzatetto durante il secondo lockdown erano quelle dell’Ambasciata Italiana, la Comunità di Sant’Egidio e la congregazione di St Peter’s Italian Church, Clerkenwell), l’abitudine di spostarsi in un gregge in focolai per esempio davanti a Selfridges, ai mercati to Borough market come avete detto, ma anche a Portobello e Camden e nella periferia come Muswell Hill., il ruolo in ricerca qui sopratutto in medicina anche dopo Brexit, e gli italiani chi, benché la maggior parte sembri preferire stare a Londra, si avventurano al di là e fanno communità in altre città cosmopolite, specialmente i grandi imprenditori come i Sardi Forte, che partendo d immigrate costruirono una catena di alberghi che contava oltre 600 filiali!
Sopratutto volevo congratularvi per l’abbinamento di un italiano madrelingua con una donna inglese così riuscita. C’è chi ritiene che i non madrelingua non debbano ricoprire un ruolo importante nel insegnamento d’italiano come LS, ma non sono d'accordo. Un inglese come me deve avere un modello che abbia seguito un percorso simile, partendo da un background culturale simile, nella cui situazione si può immedesimare.
PS da Sheffieldiano devo dire che lo Yorkshire Pudding - so che adesso è un contorno - fu concepito tanti anni fa come un primo piatto, per abbuffare gli ospiti con cibo economico prima che arrivasse il secondo più costoso come l’arrosto. Un po’ come un primo in Italia?
No il primo ha lo stesso valore del secondo. Forse l’antipasto.
Ciao ragazzi! A me questo tipo di video piace moltissimo. Vedere un po' di Londra è sempre bello. Poi conoscere la sperienza di Matteo è proprio interessante! Non ho capito perchè Matteo fosse così stupito di trovare la Pizza nel ristorante "Made in Puglia". A Milano moltissime pizzerie sono gestite da pugliesi e la pizza pugliese, dopo quella napoletana, secondo me è la migliore - detto da una milanese senza origini pugliesi😁
