I can definitely tell that traveling with a little one really changes things when it comes to flights! I'm glad to see that he was ready to head out for an adventure!
I am loving this series on travelling with a toddler! I have a VERY active little girl and we are about to embark on an international holiday. This was so helpful, thank you 😊
The diapers in the checked car seat…is…genius! I wish we would have thought of that when we traveled Cali to Portugal with our 1 yr old last year!
Planning our first international trip as a family. I have a 30 months old and a 9 months old . Thanks for this video
Long haul flights with younger kids request a bulkhead seat with bassinet attachement. Down fall you don’t a bag under your feet for quick grabs so I just wore a belt bag with the essentials.
Suction cup toys were a huge win for little dude! Though we don’t use them in the regular pull-ups are a lot easier to change than diapers on a flight.
Thank you so much for this video!💛
We‘re flying long distance from germany to thailand in October with our then 10 month old babygirl elina👧🏽Great tipps! I am excited for this new adventure ✈️🌴☀️
Jampacked with tips and recos in this video. Thanks for sharing.
I've really been enjoying your Instagram stories about your cruise, this is going to be a great video for parents thinking of travelling with a toddler.
Why thank you! We have a few cruise videos coming soon too! More in-depth info :)
Thank you for this! I have serious anxiety about my little man’s first flight
The timing of this 🙌🏼 we’re about to fly with our toddler for the first time! 🫣 Great tips ❤
How was it?
This may have been the bestttttt video I have watched on travel with a toddler!!
The diapers on the car seat is so smart!!! Great video!
Very helpful thank you 💕
My two year old slept on a 4-5 hour flight on the way over and back. It was great. We rented a car seat from the car rental company.
Super helpful ! Thank you !
Silent disco party, love it. 🥳
OMG thanks for this!!!
what stroller did you have with you!? I Love that it's so compact and folds up!!!
Flights I’ve booked (in australia) don’t give us extra carry on, so we carry on our travel pram and then can only bring one other bag (plus the personal sized bag that goes under the seat). Last flight was delayed by 1+ hour, he spent that time pushing his pram around too!
I have a multi sectioned pencil case that I put his toys in so I could grab that out and put it in the seat back pocket to easily grab.
Thank you for keeping it real!!! That’s why I’ve stuck around for years ❤. I’m about to take a 10 hour trip with my 3 year old later this year. I am TERRIFIED!
I loved the travel hack of splitting the responsibilities and going on last!
Of course! Thanks for watching , and good luck on your trip! 🤞
We're so glad to see you traveling again! Great tips, I think we'd buy the extra seat too, most of the flights we've been on have been completely booked so we'd like to have the extra space for the kiddo.
Yea, it’s definitely nice to have that seat! Especially for an older toddler..
There was a flight out of Texas a Year ago or so. After takeoff the plane hit some clear sky turbulence. In an instant the plane dropped 1000 feet. The drink karts and flight stewards hit the ceiling. 7 people were hospitalized. It's not as rare as you might think. Turbulence accounts for 37% of aviation injuries. We have a special harness that we got off of Amazon. We always strap the kiddo in no matter what.
I was on that same flight.
I fly jetblue most of the times. 5+ hours without a harness. The flight attendants said they dont give harness and we flew when she was 2.4 months 5 months 7 months 1 yes and now 17 monts
@seanfarrell4815- can you possibly link the harness product you used for the flight here? Thank you. Glad to hear you all are ok. That would be terrifying for me and quite honestly our kids too.
@@adrianademelo3939 I think it's the "kids fly safe" one. We've also used a cheap car seat that we bought for travel. The airlines do specify that it must be approved for flight. Ours has a sticker on the side that says it is.
I can confirm I was on this flight
7:25 😂 Silent disco party 🎉
How to get through TSA with baby? My baby is trying to walk but isn't yet, and I'm traveling alone with him. Any tips for that?
I highly recommend the movie rio!
I’ll be flying alone with my 18 mo. old son, also named Elliot, to AZ Mon. Scared a little even though it is only 2.5 hr. flight. Thanks for video!
Beautiful video. 👍👍👍
*improved upon
Great video. Well edited! Great b roll footage! Great bullet points! supreme observations and recommendations! Thank you!
The southwest rules say the free lap baby doesn't get any bag allowance :( I'm struggling to pack and might need to buy them a seat just to get a bag allowance 😢
What stroller bag did you use? Looks nice to avoid damage when gate checking!
It’s the specific travel bag that’s made for our stroller - the Uppababy Minu v2
10th! 6 more days until I go to turkey can u do a vid on how to pack for a week full of clothes for turkey
Oh the change of outfit really good idea. Totally forgot about it.
Good idea the diper
Very cute ❤
Watching because I’m about to travel for the first time with my 18mo toddler, and his name is Elliot as well 😅
Anyone asked?
Can you provide the link for your little ones headphones?
Hi! Which stroller did you use? Our usual pivot expand is too big to take on our first flight next month and I'm looking for something light and compact! Thanks :)
We use the UppaBABY Minu 2, it pretty good. It definitely not the more compact stroller and won’t fit in the overhead bins, so you’ll definitely have to gate check it. But you can buy a travel bag for it, that’ll nicely store it during transit. It’s also on the pricier side, but we like how sturdy the wheels and frame are for a compact stroller, because many of them feel very light weight and too flimsy for more rugged terrain.
Ohh my gosh your little one is adorable, did you need to change him inflight?
Thank you! Flying in a couple weeks for the 2nd time with my son who just turned 1. My daughter is a pro but a little nervous since now my son is more mobile
Ours is just over 1. Are you getting him a seat, or will he be on the lap?
@@0rrinhe will be on our lap, so we’ll see! We flew a few months ago but he was smaller then!
@nataliasell99 Will you be getting the bassinet seat? We're flying in 2 months, so we just want to be sure everything is in place. This is the first time flying with him.
I started watching your travel videos before you had baby and I had baby. But now we are both moms, glad to watch some surviving skills with a toddler lol
What do you do about the ears popping with take off and landing?
I have read some parents give lolipops
Infant on lap does not have bag allowance. Most domestic US airlines don’t allow a diaper bag in addition to carry-on and personal item.
❤ flying with a toddler isnt for the faint of heart ❤
What headphones does your toddler use? My girl will be 17 months on our flight and I’m scared of getting headphones too big for her head lol thanks for all the tips!!! ❤
check out the link in my description!!
Hey can I get some advice, I have a 14 month old and going to Caribbean . The hotel I’m going yo doesn’t have a pack and play. Should I bring my own ?, the 2nd bag allowance for pa k and play is $40 each way or I can renti one from a baby item rental place when there$45 for the week and $50 to deliver and pick up pack and play. Some say pa k and play is not necessary but I’m traveling solo with baby what advice can you give? Thanks much
The cost sounds to be almost.identical. Save yourself the hassle
Cute Cute Cute
❤️
What headphones did your child use?
I got my 1 yr old her own seat although I could have held her on my laps. She slept 8 hours on a 12 hr flight. Worth the money 😂
So I’ll be flying 5 hours flight with my baby for the first time , just curious for breastfeeding do I need to go to the washroom or I can do it simply covering myself at my seat ..
Cover yourself at your seat :) don’t let anyone judge you or tell you otherwise
Just nurse at the seat. And why cover? You are feeding your child, dot others cover while eating or go to the bathroom for it?
Flying with one baby is easy, but try having 2 twins is a different story just got my 8months old twins from South America Peru to Sydney Australia first time back home took us 21hrs travel it was crazy but we got home i feel really bad for the twins and also the peoples on the plane 😂...12-3-2024.
😄
Omg, i was flying out of Orlando with my at the time 9 month old so i brought the stroller that clips the carseat on top of it and went through the check points like that, and people in line were staring at me, but not saying anything at all, so when i got to security they told me i had to break the WHOLE stroller down, and out it through the scanning machine... Im by myself so I had to to take the baby out (and she couldn't walk yet), so i just sat her on the floor and broke the stroller down one TSA guy was nice enough to pick her up, give her to me, and then HE finished breaking the stroller down and picked it up and put it in the machine for me, and I was thinking OOOOH that's why everyone was looking and staring Cuz they knew i was gonna have to break everything down (I'm a new mom so i didn't know, and never paid attention to the other moms before I myself became one, so). And then on the way back, this other airport let me drive the stroller through without breaking it down!!! I just had to take her out that's it
We’ll be flying with our 1 year old from Minnesota to S. Korea, and I am already dreading her being cranky :(
if only i had a kid lol
Wow what a unique topic???
Rule when travelling alone or with kids - never arrive at night time. This can be seen as more dangerous. Also, always use car services that are tracked like uber or grab. 🙌❤️
How do you change a diaper on the plane?
Bathrooms have change tables :)
I don’t know how mothers do it on their own when flying. It does take a lot of planning. You didn’t mention drugs. That’s good. Don’t think that’s a good thing unless absolutely necessary. One other suggestion, bring something for the child to chew that works their jaw to lessen the effect of ear pressure. Gum if they are old enough, obvious not toddlers. Did Elliot have a problem with that?
I don’t think so. I know some will nurse or give a soother . We just tried to get Elliot to yawn and he seemed alright
Why am I so nervous to travel with my little one lol 😅
😅me too I’m travelling by the end of November with my 4years and 2 years old alone 😅,always looking for video to have more information 😂 ,good luck
@@lanobrahimsaid8315 Alone ??!! You are so brave the instructions clearly said two people Lmaoo
100 percent extra adult clothes. THIS THIS THIS
I am traveling with an 18 months old, economic class, …… aloneeee 😭😭😭
Omg same😭😭 but with a 22 month old I’m scared lol,
A baby bottle with milk and vodka to ease their fligh and avoid all the crying that could cause other passengers to wanna throw your crying bag off the window.
Hail Mary's?
What? You don’t have to buy the ticket for toddler?!
Not a single mention of all the poor people around their precious little package whilst they travel in their own little bubble
SO you mean ppl have 2 leave their toddlers at home alone while dey travel??? Whole world doesn't revolve around your "bubble "
No, I don't want to buy your e-book. Thanks.
