    Thank you so much! I've traveled with my son when he was 6 months old, I was carrying everything and it sucked traveling alone. I was struggling, I was tired, and out of breath. I was so glade there were people offering to help me get on the plane as well as getting off. This time I'm gonna do it smarter, hopefully everything runs smoothly.

    Great tips! Second board last! My 4-month-old screamed till we took off 🤪 Can I also add one? Have your husband board first (when they call families with babies) so you for sure get overhead bin space for your bags and he can easily pack the stroller/hand it over when boarding.

  • @KenshoQuest
    @KenshoQuest Před 4 lety +6

    Great tips, especially arriving early! My husband likes to wait to board the plane, whereas it's my personality to want to board right away. We've been traveling full time for the past 8 months with our one-year-old toddler and six-year-old. I find it's not as difficult as people worry it will be. We just pack a lot of snacks, those work better for us than toys, as well. 🌺 Heidi

    I'm so nervous, single mom here, I'll be flying alone with my son for the first time (his first flight). He's currently 14 months old, it will be in June. Our flight is only an hour and a half but I already have a slight fear of flying (I've flown multiple times). I'm watching videos a month and half early just trying to be prepared. Hopefully my tall little man can do great with this.

    Hey thank you for this super helpful video! I am flying with my 1 year old son alone in a weeks time and this video really helped me feel more prepared and at ease. I just also have to add that in regards to toys: you can buy some new, cheap toys to keep kiddos interested a little longer while on flights and road trips. Also from my own experience, when we are going on a road trip I try and remove some of my son's favorite toys from his daily toy rotation and put them away. This helps the toys feel more new and interesting while in confined spaces.

    When my kids were 1-3. Were forced them to stay up all night before the flight. They were asleep the whole flight almost. They only made one cry for about a minute. If you keep your kids on a regular day schedule. They will cry most of the flight or be awake. I would sleep for 2 hours when I got to the hotel. We also would ask for a bed sheet and put it in the floor in the hotel room. We did not want our twins playing on a Hotel bare floor. We also would keep baby Tylenol in case one got a fever. We leaned the hard way at 11pm at night on a vacation. Nothing was open to get medicine. Also. We plan ahead and get the nearest urgent care in case of an accident. Nice video!

    You can always get to the gate early and ask the gate agent if you can get early boarding since you have a baby with you! Sometimes they’ll go ahead and let you go with the disabled and elderly group before group 1 so you can get into your seat with no issues. Sometimes it’s just you and the baby and your partner will have to board in the group on their pass. But it never hurts to ask! Especially if you’re very nice and ask how their day is going!
    I was boarded first and got our seats changed because they saw I had a 3 month old and I had a full row so then I got moved into a row for just me and my partner!
    Always be nice!

    I love this video! so many tips for our flight with our 1 year old. I did want to say, some car rental places will guarantee that you will get a car seat. Alamo is one of them, and its in bold when you reserve a car seat that they are clean, not expired, accident free, and GURANTEED. That being said its not true for every place and other are first come first serve.

    When it comes to toddler essentials I like to keep a low profile I don’t like using toddler cups because they’re just such a hassle for me so I like to keep a cup of warm milk and warm up monitor to warm up her milk and then after that I put in a baby bottle and then I put it in the fridge and then I let it sit and then the baby bottles ready to go. And if you’re asking how does it warm up for some reason she doesn’t like hot or warm milk I think cold milk is just better for her and yes I use a baby formula I don’t use regular milk

One good tip is scheduling a flight during their happy hours. For us, early morning trips are best because once the late afternoon/evening rolls around she is pissssssy.

For me I find it much easier than trying to hold a wiggly baby the entire time. Lots of snacks and toys to entertain them for sure

    It’s funny she feels like she has to explain herself on why she is feeding her child a processed food on a trip …. That is just the reflection of how judgmental are mom out there !!! Girl you are doing fine breath …. You don’t have to give explanation to anyone 🌻🌻🌻

    Best tip is don't take them on planes at all. Show some consideration for the other passengers on the plane. Flights are expensive and the least I expect is to travel in comfort and peace and quiet. Airlines should put them all together in the back of the plane like they used to do with smokers and let them annoy each other. Its time the silent majority spoke up against these selfish and inconsiderate parents. Its ironic that these brats are on the plane for free but they make life a misery for fare paying passengers.
