@@planetbinzexactly how it works. primary care/family physicians are pretty much there to refer you to someone whose an expert in whatever you need. it kind of makes sense for the amount of knowledge doctors need. they can’t possible know everything about everything
@@planetbinz that’s probably good though. A lot of general doctors are out here treating things and/or prescribing opioids for years, without ever referring the patient to a specialist
@@paigealise4202 a lot of us don’t have an established family doctor though. So just that first step of calling a doctor to get an appointment is like where do I even start? It’s a process just finding a doctor that is taking new patients. And then if you can get an appointment, it’s a month out.

Wildlife rehabber here 😂 Oscar is correct, opossums are what we have here in the US. Possums are a different species entirely that live in Australia. Also, opossums here in the US are not rodents, they are marsupials (like kangaroos) and they carry their babies inside of a pouch for the first couple of months after they are born. Then the momma opossums carry their babies around on their back once they are old enough to be out of the pouch. They are actually really gentle compared to like squirrels or anything else similar. They just make those scary faces as a defense mechanism, lol. ALSO! If you ever see an adult opossum get hit by a car, if you can safely check it’s pouch, there are often still living babies inside that can be saved and taken to your local wildlife rehab center!! Shoutout to Moses for pointing out how good they are for the environment and ecosystem overall ❤
Trish. Yours and Drew's friendship was therapy for me as a teenager. It was so pure, silly and genuine. You guys were so polar opposites but you worked together in a way that was a breath of fresh air. Always made me smile. I have been going through some bad traumatic shit recently and nothing can seem to turn my brain off besides listening your podcast. an anti-ozempic take: people that use it for diabetes treatment (potentially can save lives) which was the intention of the drug, face issues with supply because of people using it for weight loss. diet culture/ fat-phobia is running rampant.
It’s the only thing that’s actually worked for my diabetes and for a few months I was driving up to 2+ hours to find a pharmacy that had it in supply. It was wild! That was about a year ago.
I think I've heard a lot of people are having bad side effects from Ozempic as well! I knew few women on it and they would throw up a lot while on it from accidentally over eating, and then their teeth would end up in bad shape. People are also talking about stomach paralysis now and other side effects that sound pretty scary. I get the temptation to use it for weight loss, but like they pointed out, as much as it can cost you might as well get a fitness trainer. I'm really trying to change my mindset about food and exercise. Rich Lux has had some really informative videos about being on Ozempic. Trish should pull him on the podcast to discuss it!

As the mom of a lady opossum I just want to say she would never hurt anyone. She's the most gentle and scared baby. She would sooner play opossum than fight you. The only time she's ever bit me was when I was hand feeding her grapes and she got excited and accidently bit my finger. When she realized what she did she immediately let my finger go and looked up at me so worried. Since then she is so cautious and gentle eating from my hand it gets annoying how slow she goes. Lol

Girl I was on Ozempic for like a year and I was absolutely miserable and it aged my face!! I’m still in my 20s and it made my skin saggy and dull with wrinkles and I was constantly sh!tying my guts out. Now I have to get Botox and take fiber supplements still but I’m not on it anymore

I’m not hating just sharing my experiences because I’m tired of seeing only the good about it and people acting like it’s a magical pill that will make you have ur ideal body and like glowing from within always lol. Everything has side effects, I love my Wellbutrin but some people have had bad experiences with it and to me they’re still valid in their experience.
I was on a pill version of the main ingredient for a bit then I got put on ozempic, I have diabetes so I wasn’t put on to lose weight but I was sick a lot and never leaving the house. So 6 months off now and and things are just now starting to get better with treatments I got like 20 units to start or something but still have extra body skin which is common with rapid weight loss it’s true but I stand w my point I think before the Xeomin in it aged my skin

as someone with ARFID who struggles with food disgust daily, I appreciate hearing y'all talk about food it actually makes me hungry and want to eat!!!!!
Trisha my love- I am a nurse and an EMT in NYC- I just want to tell you to be careful with the Ozempic! I know many patients who have tried it and it made them extremely nauseas- like not able to function. My partner at work is diabetic and was placed on ozempic and when he takes it- he ends up in the ER bc he gets very dehydrated from throwing up, he has gotten pancreatitis from it- he cannot move or function and his sugar drops to the point that he doesn’t know what is going on. My sister in law takes it for weight loss and she has had similar experiences. So while it makes you not hungry, it makes you very sick as well. I used to be a personal trainer before I became an EMT and then nurse. You can still eat- just portion control! And if you do work out- which, of course is way healthier- just know that muscle weighs more then fat- so do NOT pay attention to the scale!!! You are absolutely gorgeous- you have a wonderful, happy life! Just enjoy what makes you happy! Just take Malibu for more walks around the neighborhood in the stroller, or little push car! You and Moses can go for walks. For a sedentary person (someone who doesn’t exercise much) even doing stretches and jumping jacks, etc like 2 days per week to start will help! Cut out unnecessary sugars like soda, iced tea, etc. you are beautiful- YOU are your harshest critic! Being healthy is the most important and as long as you are in good health- that is what counts! But there are little ways to change some things without it being so radical! ❤
Portion control doesn't matter when you binge 3000+ calories next meal, intuitive eating, portion control, causal exercise doesn't work for most over weight binge addicted people.

When I was on Ozempic, I lost weight doing the same exact thing i was doing for years. Yes, you lose weight but I was constantly throwing up even when i ate nothing for an entire day. I called off work multiple times because i was constantly feeling sick. When I say I ate nothing, I mean it, I puked up stomach bile and knew it was time to stop. I lost about 30 lbs in 2-3 months and after i stopped, I gained 15 lbs back so not too bad. At the end of the day it depends on your body because it can affect people differently, I advise to ask your doctor over anybody else.

Please Trisha don’t go on ozempic! I know it sounds promising and I myself looked into it when the buzz all started. But there’s multiple reports coming out of people who have developed gastrointestinal issues, among other symptoms. There is currently a class action lawsuit against ozempic in Canada, based off a study published by University of British Columbia. Growing up curvy and watching you honestly helped my self esteem and confidence so much. You’re gorgeous the way you are, please never change❤️

I know two people on ozempic, one female in her 30's and one male in his 40's. They both have bad acid reflux and GI issues any time they eat anything. I also know it has a black box warning with crazy side effects and risk for a type of thyroid cancer. If you stop you will likely gain all the weight back and then some. I would be all for a Trish workout channel to be honest.

But the company you work for is making money. Be upset with the company who doesn't pay you fairly to begin with.

As someone who was on Ozempic (for my diabetes), It was pure torture and I can’t cation people enough. At least for me, I threw up any food I consumed and became so malnourished I could no longer function during the day. It sickens me that the downsides are not discussed more.
