His first hand story about Diana, just shows how People's Princess the Lady Di was.. It's definitely hilarious...but overwhelming insight that I instantly felt very nostalgic about it. I was 15 (the same age as William) on the day she gone. Truly pretty, it sort of captured the fairy tale theme. It was a bit over the top, but she carried it well so it became something special. It's not like the designer stapled lots of fabric altogether, they discussed with the Princess and she wanted the theme.... she have standard, though by today standard people say it is too big etc etc. Look at the setting...the stairs itself are big. It would be hilarious and downright pity if she wear something resembles a blouse or nightgown... total not up to exravagant expectations. The veils... the tiara... the tiny bows... all actually compliment her look. She's unique an easily the prettiest princess

Actually saw an interview with Elizabeth just this week. It was the 3rd interview I’ve seen with her. Perhaps David is just better known because of his TV show.

In retrospect I think this dress is a freakish disaster.It in no way flatters Diana's figure.It looks atrocious.Its especially where on top yikes!

I think what made the dress famous is Diana.They dress is hideous and looks like it is made from cheap curtain material and is ill-fitted. Sleeves are also disastrous.

At that time those designs are the in thing. Remember it was the 80s. In 30-40 years time kids will say our fashion now will be hideous and ugly. I'm sure the queen would not have allowed it if it were unacceptable. Of course old pictures and videos do not do justice as new technology now. I'm sure the fabric was the best of that time.
