yeah, the waist on the first dress was already in a good position, they just needed to let it out a little to give her breathing room and the original dress would have looked fantastic, big bump or small bump

      @r2Gt06 Před 3 lety +21

Yes, please!! I can't help imagining the original dress altered! And yes, some bumps don't show as obviously as the prop tummy, and some people may even have successfully delivered the baby by the time the wedding day comes at 8+ months gestation! 😅🤗💚

She is 5 months here and cleary very pregnant. She is going to have the classic big pregnant belly. Personally, I think a pregnant belly is a beautiful thing (a little biased as I have 5 kids myself). I think she could rock a figure fitting dress, not sure why it is the societies norm to try and hide the bump

As a woman progresses through her pregnancy, it's not just the bump that grows, it's every other part her body: her breasts and arms included. I preferred the first dress. It would have given her more freedom to relax and move around freely. At eight months pregnant, she will be very large. I felt the second dress gave her a solid, all over large shape. The first dress celebrated her pregnancy.

@@nouyahalliwell7065 I agree. That's how I was. I only gained weight in my stomach and a bit in my hips, but my chest and arms stayed the same. This woman looks like she has a thinner build so I don't think she will be heavy all over when she's 8 months pregnant.

Not everyone gains weight all over their body when they are pregnant. I know plenty of women who got big in their pregnancy and stayed like that forever, but I also know plenty who were thin in all parts of the body except tummy, and lost it as soon as they gave birth. My sister for example - she just had a small bump until her last month, and we thought something was wrong with the baby, that baby wasnt growing or something.... Not all women are the same...
I think she looked better in the first dress tho and it looked like she would be more comfortable...

I really appreciate that this show is showcasing some real-life situations that might not be ideal, but are a part of life and you can still be and feel beautiful pregnant on your wedding day.
But why the heck wouldn't they use an actual belly bump prosthetic like the ones they use in maternity shops?! That'd be far more realistic than a random cushion that is not made to be the average size and shape of pregnancy belly. I got married at almost 9 months pregnant the first time around but it wasn't a big fancy wedding. It was a very small beach wedding and I just wore a very simple off shoulder empire waist dress. And with that small wedding and then cake back at my in-laws house was so exhausting for me. So I can't imagine first, just trying to buy a fitted gown (not body-hugging, but still one that doesn't just stretch like mine did haha) not knowing how big you'll actually be in any area (because like another commenter said, many pregnant women gain in various places. I've had 3 term pregnancies and I gained a bit differently with them all. My first I definitely gained in my face and all over. Up 2 bra sizes. My belly didn't get huge, but it's also hard to tell cuz I was big all around haha. Last two were after a major weight loss and they were pretty much all belly no major swelling, which is another thing a lot of women deal with... swollen fingers, ankles, face, feet, etc). I mean, if her fingers swell (as many women's do), her ring might not fit. And she wouldn't want to have it resized for a temporary time. So that would mean buying a temporary ring right before the wedding, which would hinder photos since many brides showcase the rings in photos. But then to worry about a very long day of getting ready, the ceremony, photos, reception, etc. I'd be dying! Haha. But I truly don't mean thing to be negative, I actually find it kind of amusing, but I'm very sarcastic. But a bit of a realistic look at what a crazy experience it would be to have a big wedding at the end of your pregnancy.
For her sake, I hope she didn't experience any complications with her pregnancy or her dress and wedding, that everything fit perfectly, and that even if she ended up exhausted (I know I did at my 2nd wedding/current marriage and I was not pregnant haha. We didn't even have a big wedding, but it was definitely more planned and thought and money and time put into it than the first, where we were mostly doing it because we were put in a difficult situation where we felt it was best), it was exhaustion in the best way, where she felt fulfilled and excited to start a new chapter with her husband, where even if your whole body hurts, your heart feels so full that it doesn't matter. I truly hope her day was special and that the bride, her groom, and their baby (or babies!) are living happy and healthy lives 💜
And if anyone cares to know, while my ex and I both know marriage was not right for us, we know we did it with good intentions for our (now 9 year old) daughter and we get along and coparent as best we can. His family is still my family and everyone also accepts my current husband and our two daughters. It's not ideal to go through divorce with a child/children, but if you keep your eyes on what really matters (the child) and not on bickering and fighting, it can work out in a way that doesn't make everyone miserable haha. And if you're reading this and thinking of/planning to marry because of your pregnancy, please don't do it. Thankfully we split when our daughter was very young so she doesn't even remember us together... this is her "normal" but that was only because I finally got the guts to stand up for myself and say I was miserable and I didn't want my daughter growing up seeing that or thinking that's what marriage was. Thank you for attending my TedTalk haha.

And this is why I’m staying on birth control until after I get married. The dresses look lovely on her, but there’s no way I’m gonna be able to find another dress after I’ve already found the one.

I would have chosen the looser one to myself just so you can move more freely because at 8 months you're not going to be too comfortable.

I disappointed her previous dress suited her much better, this one looks very covered up

I preferred the first gown. Nothing wrong with the bump showing. She looked gorgeous.

God Bless her. It kind of makes me chuckle about making sure she looks bridal when she will entirely look maternal!

Question: why can't they reschedule their wedding day?

Probably the venue is paid for

      Or religious family?
Who knows must be important because 8months pregnant is a whole lot of uncomfortable, achey feet, sore back and bladder pressure (toilet runs) to put up with while being the centre of attention.

Not going to lie it must suck that she pregnant on her weeding she may not be able to do everything she wanted but at least she has a baby on the way !

The initial dress was grand indeed, she has style! And now it is in place to have comfort over style 😉

I would think a corset would be good to loosen!
Oh well so so beautiful 😍
