The Audi 90 GTO scorched a turbocharged, all- wheel drive path across the 1989 IMSA GTO series leaving an indelible mark on the American racing scene. The Audi featured a steel, tubular space-frame, double wishbone suspension with coil springs, ventilated discs brakes all ‘round and, of course, Audi’s signature Quattro all-wheel drive system. Power was supplied by a five cylinder, 2190 ccm engine equipped with a KKK turbocharger.
With Hans Stuck and Trans-Am champion Hurley Haywood at the controls, the Audi 90 GTO dominated IMSA GTO competition in 1989. Stuck drove to victory at Summit Point, Mid-Ohio, Topeka (Heartland Motorsports Park), Sears Point, Watkins Glen, Lime Rock and Laguna Seca, ably supported by Haywood who delivered an Audi one-two on five occasions. However, given that Audi had skipped the opening rounds at Daytona and Sebring, Stuck and Audi finished second in the drivers and manufacturers point standings to Pete Halsmer and the Mercury Cougar XR7.
While the Audi 90 GTO didn’t win a championship it accomplished something far more rare: It won the hearts and minds of a generation of motorsports fans. - Hry

The passion that Stuck has about this car just puts a smile on your face. I could listen to him talk about the Audi 90 GTO all day.
One of the best Audi race cars -- and one of the best drivers. Awesome video! (IMSA year in and year out penalized Audi because Audi kept winning. Then finally, Audi was no longer invited to the series because of their unfair technological supremacy.)
Can anyone explain to me why this car/video is getting so much hate? Yeah, I know people have their complaints with iRacing, but the GTO is an AWESOME car and it looks like it's going to be a blast to drive.

This video had me all super nostalgic man, BEAUTIFULLY done, I will finally be making a return to iRacing soon, I've missed it for a couple years now, but life was a bit too much to be able to continue. Each release keeps me hype knowing that there is more and more to get when I get back. I'll bring my wallet, you keep bringing the stuff. :)

If this car comes to any other sim my reaction is "OH HELLLLL YEA!" See it's coming to iRacing and well... "meh, another car no one will drive after a week. Yay GT3." Badass car that would be a helluvalot of fun, but the inevitable reality of the average driver is inevitable.
Though you guys have the IMSA name, so... how about a classic IMSA series with another GTO, a couple GTUs and a GTP and a Light or twelve. Then... Then you'd have something.

What is all the bitchn' about? Great new car! I got a deal on iracing when I signed up. What is wrong with people getting deals on the new Audi. People make me tired complaining about things that don't really matter in the world. Iracing is still the best thing out there because of their great development. The Physics is amazing. Great Job Iracing. thank you for the awesome cars...... Now with Le Mans we need LMP1.... please

nothing new here,they dont let you read the forums if your not a member so you dont see that the game has many many old faults and alot of 5yr+ members saying that the models are bugged to shit

Umm, no one has to buy the car, it is 100% optional. And since this new car was a complete surprise, there is no series for it ... yet. But have you ever heard of Leagues? iRacing does have a lot of them. So anyone could not buy the car, wait for an official series with it, and then buy the car.
Last night I was in a race with the 90, at Lime Rock. Lots of fun. And yes, going over the crest is a blast. Don't think for a second that there will be lots of races with the 90, and people will drive the snot out of it.

It wasent only because of the Quattro it was great, cus the engine was probaly the thing that made it great cus that's one of the greatest engines under 2,5 land forget rotary I mean Piston engines,cus it's not powerfull and possible to tune up to 1000+hp, but it is possible to tune them up to +1000hp still Durable and that's pretty impresive to a under six sylindre and just 2,2.i don't care about 2JZ cus that's 3L and 6sylindre

WTF. How about fixing the safety rating system instead of focusing on new content. when you can get 4x incidents cause some jackass bumps into the back of you under yellow or before the race starts or when you get a 7x cause you have to go off track to avoid a massive wreck and don't spin or nothing. You cant even bump draft on the ovals because of it. I don't even do official races cause of that shit. Also what is with no west coast servers.
There is always a way to avoid an accident, even if other people are wrong... If you wouldn't get a 4x if someone hits you, you would not try to avoid the crash.
there is no way to avoid being bumped before a start or restart from the rear and you will get 4x if they do it a couple times which can happen easily in a 60 lap+ race or some guys comes up to hard to do a bump draft. I do agree there is a way to avoid it most of the time when there is a wreck which is what i did when i went through the grass to avoid a wreck and got 7x even though i didn't hit a thing. I only race oval so I don't know what its like on the road side.

I honestly don't see what the problem is. That's a promo that only lasts 72 hours. After that they pay the same as you or I.
These are fun cars to have in the service but adding cars like these will not bring large groups of new membership or membership longevity. Casual fans who may consider sim racing want to race in series and cars they are a fan on of TV not super niche weekend warrior series.
A cool development but a waste of resources for a series that won't have mass appeal. Someday iRacing will stop developing for themselves and develop for profitably (series sponsors & sponsored events). Today is again not that day.
Do the people talking about the cost of content know they can earn $40 in credits a year? That practically pays for your yearly subscription. If you choose can buy content with it also.
