Can you do a review on the Redcat volcano epx Pro
@@andrewgibb9782 just go arma granite. i was looking at redcat for my truck but honestly the value is in the granite. more run time and less wrench time.
Just a warning. I pulled this quote from the review section for this rig:
"I received a car with corrosion on almost every metal part. The body was
damaged although the package itself was in good condition.
Banggood offers me a 8$ refund for all the problems even though I bought
the extra ensurence that promises a full refund or a new car. It's a
big scandal to say the least.
I give five stars just so this review will be posted."
I also discovered that Banggood censors negative reviews on their site, and this one was only there because the reviewer gave the truck 5 stars. Buy with caution!
I would have bought this solely on Kev's advice if I hadn't seen these reviews.
I believe what happened is that the truck got sent without oil covering the metal bits, when I got mine it was rust free
I have 2 and both arrived in perfect condition
Ordered mine of ebay and used paypal so ill be careful to check when it arrives. Thanks for the heads up
In the back of the manual is where it shows you how to lock the diff
😁👍 That my friend is a clone of a tamiya bruiser!
I was gonna say the same thing, this is the gran Dad of crawlers, came out in 1985 (the original)
Thats what I said Steve
Yep, It was probably my third RC by the time 1985 rolled around.
Wow 😱
Your not wrong are you !
I thought £150 was a Bit steep for some Chinese , Bangood p.o.s.
That was until I googled tamiya Bruiser and Checked out the price of the Remake .
I shat a brick 🤣💩
@@humboldtef yep!
You should get Traxxas summit next !
No way the differential gears always goes in my son's 1/16 summit. It would be better with two gearboxes and 2 motors from the bandit and then it would hit it hard without stupid spider beveled gears.
jason morgan that’s 1/16???
@@ev_____2407 looks like a mini xmax
@@ev_____2407 But its good
@@jasonmorgan661 ok but there's 1:10 summit, i don't think u know that
I been looking at that truck lately on the site cool looking truck ,thanks Kev for previewing it on your channel!!! Thanks guys!!!
Stop everything! Kev uploaded! And pat is here!
Looks awesome on the title screen, I love seeing you guys
“On the title screen”
Great video kev. I always love watching your videos
( Almost ) lol
I like it that you refused to lie Talbot.
You've made the world a better place and I declare you a national treasure.
Love the extra editing you do for the big show rc's it makes viewing 10X better! keep it up man! good job. How about reviewing some of the new ARRMA 3s rigs? They seem to be quite the bang for the buck rigs. Obviously not going to take the moon flights like the 6s guys but they do hold up pretty damn well from watching Rich Duperbash's channel. Cheers!
I really loved your audio sync edit on the beginning. Keep it up :D
Love your vids man I watch them every night keep up the good work 👍😎
Sweet! Definitely lock the diffs!
Cool little truck and thanks for you guys honest review/demo! Hope you guys are like me- when im out and about running RC's and encounter trash, I clean it up.. Looking at trash in your video is a turn-off but I still love you guys!
Great video kev!
Love the editing Kevin!
This wouldn't be a Kevin Talbot video without a cleverly placed SUBSCRIBE sticker! 😂😂😂
Yea what’s up Kevin and pat way to go on the videos man keep it up!
Nice vid kev!!!im sure you remember me because ive always got my notifications on mate!
I was hoping u were goin to bust it up !! MORE DESTRUCTION !!!!
love your work kev
I do like the attention to detail although the performance sucks really. Someone needs to 3DPrint miniature Kevin and Pat figures to put inside vehicles :)
Great video as usual, thanks! Love watching your vids!
Did you ever figure out how to lock the diffs? On the top of page 29 of the manual it shows how to lock the diffs using the two small pins in the parts bag. Takes some finagling to get the pin in place.
Awesome video Kevin 👍
Another great review guys some you should definitely do one with the diffs locked up Maybe put it head to head with something else but as always keep up the good work guys love your reviews
Pretty cool little crawler kev nice video man!
Love you Kevin Talbot
Good video Kev
Awesome vid
Did a review on this a while back. It's a good RC truck for the money. Long grub screw to lock diffs. Low 4wd med 2wd high 2wd.
Another banger of a video thanks kev
EPIC!! Love this rc truck XD
Great video Kev! Love that truck. I have a 1:1 and the original Bruiser. Aloha!
Great video man. I gotta get some new batteries for my Xmax.. I miss it
lol you and pat are a perfect combination haha . I bet pat is reading this lol hi . really good vid kev =) your going to hit 1 mil before you know it haha
DO NOT need to open diffs to lock them. A hole is on axle to drop in a pin.
Side note; lock just the rear, remove all leaf springs except one, throw stock tires away, move servo to plate behind bumper. Then, it is actually a pretty decent leaf sprung crawler.
Nice vid kev
Very awesome
Very impressed 👍🏻
love the work
That Rover though 👌🏼👌🏼
To lock the diffs, there is a pin that you need to insert in the diffs. There are screws at the top of the diffs that you need to take off then insert the diff pins in. My friend owns one of those..
Looks really good might get it
Awesome
Looks like a good platform for some DIY modding and upgrades
This truck would be so cool with trx4 portal locking diff axles, coilover shocks and a brushless crawler motor!
Great vid 👍
to lock diff. you gotta install hex pins into the holes from the top of the axles but you have to take out grub screws first
I LOVE THIS CHANNEL!
Could you review the redcat gen 7 or the ARMMA senton?
Yes upload!!
This looks goods kev
I got one of these recently. It's not the servo (cheap but not bad as such) so much as the really badly designed placement and linkages that it comes with as a legacy of the original Tamiya design. Not bad for its time as it was helping write the book on crawlers in general.
This truck is really a bit of a Faustian bargain. Great low price and a good platform for modding. I bought mine with both eyes open knowing it would have some issues.
After running it once I went ahead and, reworked the steering and mounted the servo up front on the chassis (works great), took apart the steering knuckles and filed them a bit so they could move without binding. Removed the springs from the dampers as it was all too bouncy. Oh it came with the rear leaf springs not attached to the rear spring shackles.
It goes much better now. New dampers are on the way and I'll most likely replace the tires for something more grippy.
If you buy one, just know that it will require a bit of work to make it really 'good'.
Yeah a new Video 😍😍😍 pls buy a Arrma Talion. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Lol Kev i have just ordered this crawler last week im waiting for it nice video
I'm a big fan or this car but hate the tires. Great vid, thanks!
I'm getting it for Christmas!
Looks good. I wanna see your nitro savage going again. Also I saw the the exhaust had a dent. That could mess with a lot of stuff. You should try and fix it
Great vid! You can lock the diffs with little pins that you insert from the outisde (you don't need to take it apart), it should show you in the back of the manual but if not, take a look at the Tamiya Bruiser manual!
They are decent trucks for the price, I would say they need one or two mods and a going over with threadlock ideally and quality control varies but you can buy one and make it reliable for waaaaaay less than buying the original one. Some half decent tyres go a long way too, the stock ones are too firm.
I have a facebook group for this truck if anyone is interested, just search for HG P407
Love your vids
Kev I have the tamiya bruiser which is almost the same apart from the price
Its a reproduction of a 1980s "Trail Truck" Tamiya Bruiser right down to the rubber bands. Lock the diffs and its much more capable .
nah it needs axles with lockable diffs, not permanently locked axles
Just saying hello from utah. I watch all your vids.
Nice vid kevin
@2:30 Lockable Aifferentials? what the hell are those LOL!
To lock the diffs you put a grub screw into the diff. I have a. Set of origional Tamiya bruiser axels practically brand new if you want them Kev with locked diffs
That's a 😎 truck I want one 😀😀😀😀👍👊
How to lock the diff is near the back of the instructions...drop a pin from the parts bag into the top of the diff. Its tight but you don't have the take the car apart there is a set screw on top of the diff you take out to get the pin in.
Hi everyone I hope you you have a good day
You to
Good vid
I’ll be waiting for the Future video part 2 🎉
Put a brushless motor and see what it can really do I have one and I have been beating it for a month and have had no problem I up graded the steering bell crank with a aluminum one with ball bearings and I put better servo saver on it witch it made a big difference
id love to see how much dower this could handle, even put in the stock brushed trx4 gear and see if the drivetrain can handle it
Cool video and rc car
Can you make a video showing how to build or attach all of the parts such as a servo, the motor, the electric governor, etc.
That would be cool with the diffs locked. Do you think it'll be able to jump the green building?
it would explode lol
There's a pin that you have to install to lock the diffs, it's not selectable while running you have to tear the diffs apart to lock and unlock them, just like the tamiya bruiser.
What a beast
its a good looking little truck. needs a few things done to it but id say its worth 200 bucks all day just for the nostalgia factor
You can lock the diffs without taking it apart. There is an access hole on the axle pumpkin. Shine light inside and move the gearset inside until you see a hole. Then you can put your grub screw to lock the axle. NOTE, my grub screw was slightly too long not allowing the gears to spin in the housing. I ground it down shorter reinstalled, and after a few times, I'd ground down enough to actually let it spin freely inside and not hang up on the housing. Please, do a build on this Bruiser clone. I have also found that removing one leaf from the spring packs helps with articulation. CHEERS from Oso, Washington.
I just went to the website where you can buy it, I like how it says toyado not Toyota lo!
I wonder when arma is going to release a 1/5th scale or even a mini arma outcast
Elegante como sempre 👍
Nice 👊🏾
Looks good, but banggood won't ship it to uk? Says that for both warehouses?
Since u know alot about rc cars should i get a metal car or a plastic one like the traxxas cars with the plastic parts
Cool trail truck
i wonder if u managed to break it sumhow can u get parts for it and if so would u use tamiya parts , i know iv wanted a bruiser forever but there crazy expencive
Very nice
That is so cool
on my e revo 2.0 I just put on new servos and set everything right and the servos when I turn the car on just grind. why is. that?
I bet that thing has a high center of gravity... Kev make it brushless and do a VS with the TRX-4
Hell yeah you got Pat snapping the whip that's what's up that's all right for a little Trail crawler and it can use a few things but that's not my thing anyway brother but is still a cool truck and you know what you building your dream is a lot of money when you're talkin $40,000 and axle $4,000 tires a piece and everything else I can't wait to see your Masterpiece bro it's going to be epic and I'll be your number one fan👊👊👍👍🤙🤙🤙🤙
Is it basically a Tamiya bruiser just been built up already?
looking forward to the test with locked diffs..
It's an exact replica of the tamiya bruiser, really really want one 😕
talks about building a monster truck in every intro but its been the same frame since i subbed
What’s up kev hope your doing all right!!
Hey man
2:04 "I just saw on the box it's got locking differentials" errr no, this one has locking AIFFERENTIALS lol
Hi Kev I'd like to see you review the WLtoys 10428 b. Iam considering buying it. Just want to know if it's as durable and fun as the WLtoys 10428. Thank you!
I think that shock setting is little bit strength but it's cool~!!😀😀
I think the word you were looking for is strong not strength 😊
