i think the replica market will still be pretty strong, replicas can still remain half the price as retail and with limited collaborations with celebrities like travis scott and friends and family exclusives, there is a very slim chance of those being released to the public unless they are replicas
This is why I like the reimagined shoes. Allows some of us who started collecting later a chance at copping retail but has differences that are easy to see so the originals retain their value.
I like the idea of re-issuing off-white collection and other grails again so the younger heads get to cop and wear them. The original pairs have production dates to retain their value if collectors care for them.

Next thing they will do is retro dunk sb collabs from the pink box era. Tiffany lows anyone? Alot of those shoes are starting to fall apart, like the swoosh on the Tiffany's on the lows.
No one is going to be affected negatively by them releasing these rare sample shoes other than resellers and rep makers. Some consumers will finally get their hands on shoes they’ve wanted and Nike gets to make more money off of a old design.
They should act like other collectibles such as cards, first editions and secondary runs, the rerelease being stated at a second edition, this would still drive the original pairs price up but mean more people get to own a pair
Maybe they can do these like comic books. Comic books will have written inside or somewhere that says “2nd print/3rd printing/ 4th printing, etc…” so even when more are printed, as a collector, i still feel cool for having a first print. Again, as a collector, lol
i think it's fair for collabs like off-white/nike, jfg/new balance to stay limited as they are since there were plenty of pairs available on release, but for collabs like these where there's like 30 pairs ever made, It's cool to see them available for wider audience instead of a couple of extremely rich collectors.
This is also my take on it, F&F pairs and releases with 36 units like the Wutang’s are not public releases, these are the ones which should be pushed into production for a wider release

im happy to see them retro some old pairs pre 2005 since finding a wearable pair is almost impossible take the jedi sb's for example, my favorite sb of all time, owned them a decade ago and recently picked them up again but had to settle for one that had a sole swap and no original laces, knowing that there is a chance they come out again in the future means you are more likely to wear the rarer pairs
I’m for it. It only really hurts resellers, rep manufactures, and collectors who paid the high. If you weren’t into sneakers at a specific time you can only look at them at shops is wack. Double up when you can and stop paying resellers crazy money.
While I agree on your take about the colab pairs I think we should remember while yea the WU Tang Dunks and the 4’s were “colabs” they were more so just either friends and family or just bearly a little more so the idea of actually having a release of these ultra limited pairs is a great way to give the everyday masses a chance to cop these pairs that were otherwise outta reach!!!!
The fake scarcity came back to bite them and I love it. The only reason people complain about the reissuing of the collabs is because they are clouded about the recent market value nonsense. Why do the collabs need to be one and done? Thats the reason the market has become what it is, because people think only the collabs are important .
The rare is still rare tho… With the Wu Tangs… still only 36 pairs from 1999. Even if they makes millions of retros in 2024, the 36 from are still 1 of 36…. If you think that devalues the 99 model, or makes it less exclusive, than the whole “shoe collecting” market collapses when you realize that theyre not that different anyway. $100k Paris SB’s and $100 general release 2024 SB’s… well theyre just SB’s right? But, a copy is not an original. Look at Paintings… you can buy a copy of a Picasso in the museum gift shop, but its not worth anything compaired to the original.
piggy backing off your pro of replacing an older pair for the one few lucky ones. Those few could potentially actually wear if they wont wear those OGs . In my opinion I think its a good idea but keep them limited. Its gives some of the younger kids a chance to obtain a sneakers they could only dream of having. OGs will always be OGs. You still see 85 AJ1s selling for thousands even thought we have gotten plenty of releases of them .
It's kind of ironic with the undefeated AJ4's, as there have been pairs going around on the rep scene since last year, which look very good by the way. If you want the wu-tang dunk vibe get the dunk high sp Iowa and get the wu-tang symbol drawn or stamped on lol I will not be surprised if a lot more high end collabs get re-released in the coming years
This could explain why Nike went after Pandabuy; it was the only way to obtain these classic and prevented Nike from potentially hammering the last nail in the coffin for resellers
A re-release really doesn’t matter. What matters is how the public receives it. The 2020 Kobe 6 Grinches are still going for top dollar and the Jordan 11 Bred, Jordan 5 and Jordan 3. As long as they’re in OG form or really close to it they will sell out.
Facts! This also is a thing in many levels of collecting. Do you think the people who got the original Star Wars action figures care that the brand reissued them in later years? No, they are just happy they have a piece of history.
the original drop was probably of a better quality, because as we know with time things get cheaper, but would be interested to see say with the Undefeated 4 which was better quality now or then
for the average sneakerhead like myself I don't mind these retros. especially if its a release like the Wu-Tang Dunks. But if it's something more recent and available that's a bit of a reach IMO
Not mad because it gives a second chance for those who couldn't find a pair. It kills reselling in the process, which is a good thing in my book. As collector I don't mind, it doesn't take away from the story behind them. I played the limited game before with records, having among my collection unreleased and 1/50, 1/100 pressings and some of those tracks are mid because I felt into the MOFO mentality and lost the plot, which in that case is the music and being connected by it. Nowadays some records I buy or receive are into the limited category but it is because I care about the music first, the second is more a symptom. Good for us! especially those like me that lived in countries with limited access like me growing up.
Im a sneaker collector and a fashion istana. So, for me the how rare a shoe isn't the top of my list on why i want a shoe. Or the resale cause i wear all my shoes. It's more so the shoes are part of my personality and style. I would be lying saying having a rarer shoe doesn't feel nice. BUT seeing shoes that nobody can get feels worse. I'd rather be part of the mass-produced attainable club than watch on the side line as shoes get backdoored. I'd rather Nike mass-produce a collab 1 time than make it limited, and now they gotta reach back because their desperate. All collabs would still be special and rare if they were 1 and done even if 500k, 800k were made because you'd know you'll never see it again but at least way more people have a chance at getting the shoe they like. Resale and reps wouldn't have such a huge foothold then, where Nike has to sue everybody lol. They are only suing because their stock market numbers are tanking.
Just releasing 36 pairs is cool, but basically just trolling sneaker heads and creating super expensive resell. Let's be honest, it's just a Dunk High Iowa with a Wu sign slapped on.I'm all about getting dope colourways to the customer. Let's go!
I’m on the fence, as I think the occasional retro is nice but collab retros should be left alone. I’m a big PROD collector and knowing they are re-releasing the prod 1s means I can finally sole swap a shed load of kicks I have not been able to wear due to crumbling and having a unique sole that I can’t just swap out for a dunk for example.
I started collecting before retros was a thing... Nike kind of has it's roots since the early 2000s. I remember in the 80s- early 00s. Every year they bring something new make every kid go wow whats that... they innovate new technology and new design language every year. You don't have to be a sneaker head to know every Jordan release was special. Every kid at school wanted Nike not because they are sneaker heads. To be honest the last time Nike made non sneakerheads people talk about their shoes in a exciting way was the shox or the frees... As a long time collector i love the retros however it has been a long time since i was excited about a non Nike or collab retro...
For nike, theres no downside to re-releasing uber-grails. Just like when they retro any other shoe. It only hurts owners of the OGs because they become de-valued. I have a pair of 2016 linen AF1s that were worth well over $1k a couple months ago and are now $150 lol. Not saying that'll happen with the 100 or so pairs of wu tangs and UNDFTD 4s, but when the market is on a downturn and Nike has become stale, they need to make headlines somehow.
I'm not mad that they're re-releasing some of these iconic colour ways. I hope they have the ok from their collab partners but these releases also need to be available somehow to ordinary paying public rather than bot merchants AND stay limited so that the colour ways retain some clout.
this just shows that no shoe is worth more than retail. Nike can and will retro anything they want whenever they want, 10, 20 , 40 year anniversary. also just think of all the old heads from the 90s and early 2000s that might come back for a shoe like this. sneakers invokes memories. people are willing to buy those memories again and again.
Intrinsically, Nike is a great stock and people should buy now while it's at a discount because of skiddish investors. I am also not mad at them rereleasing sought after grails, it keeps them in the news while they spend for R&D on new tech/designs. On a side note: imagine paying $30,000 for a pair of Iowa dunks with Wu-Tang symbol on it.
Shoes should not be collectibles they should be clothing items you use. I love that they are re releasing grails because now I can wear mine more often knowing that I can get a new version in the future as to being afraid of getting mine damage because I don't want to pay scalper prices again.
this is the biggest thing for me, i have heaps of pairs that are on their last legs that i keep as nice as i can knowing i might only get one or two more wears out of them, if i could get another pair in a year or two for retail id not worry about it i have a pair of 2016 wc4's that are trashed but if the 2025 rumors are true im in luck
i don't want to see the original "the ten" come back, i hope nike just drops the pairs that never released, that was an era and style that is kinda had its time however it has been 7 years since the nike mags got auctioned, those i wouldn't mind seeing a wider release even at a high price point
Its definitely a good thing. Nike did this to themselves and now they need to bring it back up. The limited strategy to build hype only works for so long before it starts hurting you. Now most of their customers only care about hype limited product and nothing else. They dont make much off the limited stock because, well... its limited, and the rest of their product just sits. It also drove a lot of their customers away because they cant get any of the stuff they want. Thats why fakes became a big thing. It even pushed them to other brands like New Balance, Asics, and even Crocs who are now laughing at Nike.
I agree - I actually think what most customers want from Nike is innovation, new exciting stuff, not just limited collabs on Jordan 3s or another reimagined OG - they’ve neglected that and focused on retro stuff and it’s become washed - in that time they’ve completely missed out on the running boom that’s going on
What is the role of the so called "grails" ? From a consumer standpoint, there is nothing in it for me, regular consumers of a whole bunch of shoes I dont actually need but want to own and wear... if I like it I would love to have a chance to buy it, wear it and eventually move on to the next one. Go Nike! Want to see a GR of these and see everyone replace their pandas for wu tangs 😂
Am in the side that it’s not good to bring back old classics but tbh Nike doesn’t care for you or me. They just are looking/needing money. Don’t invest in sneakers cause you never know when your old kicks are gonna loose its value, specially Nike sneakers
It could also be Nike going against fake sneakers, for it’s very easy to get a fake pair of Wu Tangs or J-undefeated. They might think, well in that case we better get a piece of that pie and produce some more.
The more they release, the better of a chance I get to cop. I do like the idea of rare sneakers. But let’s spread the love and not just have them go the highest bidder
Only people complaining are the resellers and collectors.... They can solve alot of issues if they just produced enough for demand Sneakers should be worn, not sitting on shelves
Gotta disagree with you on that one... Do we just have to keep them on a pedestal because they're crazy expensive? The DQM retro of the Bacons was well received! And if they retro'd the AM1 Atmost for sure people would go crazy.
As a sneaker “collector” I don’t care if it’s a collab or GR, I buy whatever I like. Release the shoes. For everyone

Love your channel bro, those woos man I
Hope they come back so you and me can get a pair
Thanks bro appreciate you
i can't believe the 7000th jordan 4 isn't moving the needle
Enjoy this type of content always a banger my man and I agree I would rather they didn't retro rare pairs. Still gonna cop if they do tho 😂😂
I want a retro of the deftones dunks!
re-issue them, but keep them limited still. thats the way without killing the joy of having them
Hoping we get the Atmos Elephant 1s again & the Off-White 90s in Black.
They brought back the AM 90 bacons
Rocked my new Trocadero Garden SB's today. Not a comfortable fit imo. Looking forward to your review soon.
This is good for Nike. It is a big F you to resellers knowing that no shoe is safe
That Atmos AM1s... wouldn't hurt to have a rerelease...
Maybe some Wotherspoons?
I hope they also retro the MF DOOM dunks
Find a way to retro the Yeezy’s
I love that they are re releasing grails because now I can wear mine more often knowing that I can get a new version in the future as to being afraid of getting mine damage because I don't want to pay scalper prices again.
this is the biggest thing for me, i have heaps of pairs that are on their last legs that i keep as nice as i can knowing i might only get one or two more wears out of them, if i could get another pair in a year or two for retail id not worry about it
i have a pair of 2016 wc4's that are trashed but if the 2025 rumors are true im in luck
i don't want to see the original "the ten" come back, i hope nike just drops the pairs that never released, that was an era and style that is kinda had its time
however it has been 7 years since the nike mags got auctioned, those i wouldn't mind seeing a wider release even at a high price point
I agree - I actually think what most customers want from Nike is innovation, new exciting stuff, not just limited collabs on Jordan 3s or another reimagined OG - they’ve neglected that and focused on retro stuff and it’s become washed - in that time they’ve completely missed out on the running boom that’s going on
Retro the Yellow Lobsters 🦞
hopefully everyone can own 1
Maybe they should drop a royal version instead of the off white chicago?🤔 i think ppl would like it.
Let the people have what they wish. word.
Pro, con… I don’t care. I just need those wu-tang joints… again and again
It‘s a great idea to be honest
Am in the side that it’s not good to bring back old classics but tbh Nike doesn’t care for you or me. They just are looking/needing money. Don’t invest in sneakers cause you never know when your old kicks are gonna loose its value, specially Nike sneakers
NIKE = DISNEY = Retro
It could also be Nike going against fake sneakers, for it’s very easy to get a fake pair of Wu Tangs or J-undefeated. They might think, well in that case we better get a piece of that pie and produce some more.
$ 50K for shoes seems a little ridiculous. Please retro reimagine them so average Joe like us can afford it.
The more they release, the better of a chance I get to cop.
I do like the idea of rare sneakers. But let’s spread the love and not just have them go the highest bidder
Dont think nike said they were not retro anything.
as you were clearly pointing out. There are two sides of the coin. for sure.
Why does the tougne on the underfeated 4s look like the tag is Velcro?
It’s a removable patch that says rare air underneath
Who knew there were so many gatekeepers in the sneaker culture. Re-releases affects no one but resellers.
I don't have a lot of grails so I'm all for them coming out again idgaf about rare shoes I want everyone to get a shoe they want
Only people complaining are the resellers and collectors.... They can solve alot of issues if they just produced enough for demand
Sneakers should be worn, not sitting on shelves
Gotta disagree with you on that one... Do we just have to keep them on a pedestal because they're crazy expensive? The DQM retro of the Bacons was well received! And if they retro'd the AM1 Atmost for sure people would go crazy.
