Rene thanks for such an in depth review. Can't get them on UK yet, but I am very keen to try
The release feature is if particular interest- in Chamonix I hit a tiny tree in my NTN and they did not release-thought I had broken ankle, thankfully just bad tendon damage. A lady in our UK telemark club (MCCS -biggest club in UK) broke her ankle in NTN. I like NTN but learned on 75 mm Cobra and miss some features. I am hoping Pierre has got it right, and looking at your indepedant review, I think he has; I will try them when I can get hokd of a pair. Please keep your valuable information coming and thanks again.

Hello and thanks for the nice review.
I used my new Meidjos yesterday for the first time.
Everything worked great although I am unsure how the black tele/walk switch at the toe works? I switch from tele to touring as you demonstrated by holding down the binding and using the lock switch.

Rene, greeting from Wanaka, NZ. Just got 1 meter so exciting start to season.
Great review thank you. Just wondering if the Meidjo comes with a brake system ? .If it is going to be a truly step in system would rather not have to bend down to attach a leash every time

Thanks for so much info and review of Tele gear! I was wondering if this binding like a Rotofelle binding with a toe-pivot, vs a 22 designs outlaw that has the pivot point back towards the ball of the foot? Also this binding and the 22 designs lynx look to sit much lower on the ski, do you notice this when skiing binding's like these?
    thanks Michael

I think Meidjo does a telemark binding with dynafits at the rear that locks the heel. Have you tried this?
Currently I am on G3 Targa telemark randonné bindings and Scarpa T1 boots on Line Prophet skis. They work OK.

Have you tried the moonlight bindings?
Coming from alpine touring, i love the 2 pins and having started telemark with targa g3 bindings, the cable system looks familiar, so that looks promising to my eye.. on the other hand, i read and listen everyone being happy with the NTN, so it sounds like this meidjo would be the way to go for me...

    Hi there... good review...
I’m going to decide for a package like the one in your review so convert carbon skis with meidjo 2.1.... and crispi shiver boots... how do you like the set? How the skis are performing in mixed conditions? I know you tested long times ago... but probably something got fixed in your mind😅

@leonardo ongetta The BD carbon convert are NOT as good as the Helio series. I would really suggest you go with the new Helios 105 or 116. BUT Black Diamond do not recommand mounting those skis with a telemark binding so you have to take a chance. I've had not proplem with my set up. The rest of your set up looks awesome

absolutetelemark thank you dear, i was looking at the convert because I found a great deal about it... 😅 I have seen you mounted the helio with meidjo and still using it since two years, did yo put inserts on the screws? Up today almost all ski brands are discouraging to mount tele on light skis, but I think on my light weight.. 58kg will not be a huge issue.

Rene- 2 questions... have you skied the 2.1 and where do you recommend mounting boot center vs ski center??
    Thanks

    • @Absolutetelemark
      @Absolutetelemark  Před 4 lety

      Yes, I've skied the 2.1
Works really well haven't had a problem, same advantages.
Yes, boot center and ski center is the best in general BUT it always depends on the skis. Moving forward too much is not ideal and you may get tip dive in powder
