When his boss is killed, Detroit cop Alex Foley (Eddie Murphy) finds evidence that the murderer had ties to a California amusement park called Wonder World. Returning to Beverly Hills once more, Foley reunites with Detective Billy Rosewood (Judge Reinhold) to solve the case. Along with Billy's new partner, Jon Flint (Héctor Elizondo), they discover that the security force of Wonder World is actually part of a counterfeit money operation headed by park manager Orrin Sanderson (John Saxon).

7:53 I just realize that it’s George Lucas as a cameo appearance in this third movie. He’s the creator of Star Wars, Willow, and Indiana Jones.
Joe Dante the Director of Gremlins is in the Movie, too. The Police Officer in the Jail. John Singelton the Director of 2 Fast 2 Furious and Shaft from 2000 plays the Firefighter.
@@ironhide238 John Singleton is also responsible for writing and directing films like Boyz in the Hood, Poetic Justice, Higher Learning, Baby Boy, and Four Brothers as well. Never forget those.

Two of them men at the bar shocked to hear about the death are Robert B. Sherman famous songwriter who worked with his brother Richards on many famous songs including those for Mary Poppins. Richard was supposed to cameo as the man who started the parade, but his scene was cut.
The other man is Ray Harryhausen famous stop motion effects man behind the classic Sinbad films and Clash of the Titans.
The Sherman brothers actually wrote the Wonderworld theme song here. The other guy between Robert Sherman and Ray Harryhausen was filmmaker Arthur Hiller. Also, fun fact, John Landis asked Robert if he liked the movie and he responded, " I loved it. I loved it more that you cut Richard out."

I like this movie! I worked at Great America in Santa Clara California this theme park isn't in So Cal it's in the bay area. I'm going to miss it when they close for good in a few years

I'm looking forward to seeing this reaction. But I must reiterate again that I don't hate this movie as others do. I don't even see what was wrong with it. And I'll probably not since I enjoyed a lot a while back then and still do now. My favorite part is when Axel saves those kids in one of the Wonder World rides. The cameos are also pretty cool, too. And yes, I know, there's no Bogomil or Taggart. But at least we have Hector Elizondo to fill in the gap, and a pretty decent villain like Ellis DeWald.

I could have been "an extra" on Beverly Hills Cop 3 as it was filmed at the amusement park where I was working in 1993- Paramount Great America in Santa Clara CA. It's still there. I'm not.😂

If you want to watch a couple of comedy movies that will make you laugh...then I wish to recommend 'National Lampoon's TV: The Movie' from 2006, and 'Rhinoceros' from 1974. Those two films gave me a laugh and I'm sure they will to you, too.
I prefer this one to the second one. I always have a hard time trying to get the Wonderworld song out of my head after watching this.

What made me sad about this movie was that you could already tell Eddie was not into it at all. He was there just to collect a pay check and cash in with few of his famous laughs, but he did not bring anything new to it and he did not even bring the good old enthuasism of the first two parts. BHC 1 and 2 were both amazing in their own way. Different in tone (first one was more comedic, second more action oriented), but still pure joys to watch and Eddie was still the king of comedy. In this one they just toned down everything from violence to humor, and it just felt like a movie made for kids. The brilliance of those previous parts were that they were targeted for mature audiences and trusted the audience to get the jokes and handle the violence.
You summed up why I wasn't as into this movie as I was the first 2. It just didn't quite feel the same.
That movie is too PG and fans are tired of Axel Foley

This movie is bad. Even Eddie Murphy agrees it is a bad. I hear there is a 4th movie coming out on Netflix. I hope it is good.
I disagree. I think it's good, but not great. To each their own, though. The 4th movie better be good.

@@tecno8335 this movie isn’t funny. That is why Eddie is doing a 4th movie. Even he hates Beverly Hills Cop 3. Taggart isn’t in Beverly Hills Cop 3. The chemistry isn’t as good as the 1 and 2. Tone of 3 isn’t as good as 1 and 2.
@@tecno8335 Beverly Hills Cop 2 is awesome. I love the action and the alphabet crime angle. Bridget is great as a villain. I love Dean Stockwell. Gilbert Gotfried is great. I like the Chris Rock cameo. Rosewood steals the show in the movie. I like what happens to Taggert. Tony Scott is great directing it. The movie is awesome.
